@mose0092 I'm 6'2 and have no problem. The older ones yes, they didn't go back far enough. and you could never see over the dash. The 2010 does need some changes in the driving position though.
@Zinizzle I'm 6'4" and I can't do it. It's not necessarily the distance from the pedals, but more the fact that Toyota puts its seat so low to the floor. I really like the 4runner, but I went wtih a full-size truck to enjoy a more comfortable seat.
fucking stupid review, 4runner is an off-road SUV. Why would you concentrate on fuel economy and 0-60 mph time?....both of which aren't even bad for an off-road SUV stupid idiot!
The Lexus version has the v8 but is a lot heavier. That fact that it has it means that if enough people want it, it wouldn't be hard for Toyota to put one in down the road.
1/27/2010: Toyotas are not nearly as reliable as all the sheeple think they are.....oh, think I'm wrong? Has anybody picked up a fucking newspaper in the last 48 hours?
Yes I know but you said it is an American SUV, and it is by no means "American" only that it is sold in the U.S. While the Toyota Fortuner takes its place on most other regions in the world.
this guy is too tied up in his crossover "era" to truly see that this is an endagered species, no is used to seeing a true suv anymore, either its a crappy crossover like the edge, or a monster like the tahoe, but this is where it all began, with a true suv, big, powerful, and with off road capabilities
actually there is a new X5 M which is faster, but a wast of money, which is my opinion on all SUV's and cross overs. but if people like them enough to buy, go ahead.
that is true. but most suv's made now have no off road capability either (x5 perfect example). that and of everyone who buys an suv, there is such a very small amount of them that use them for off roading or green laneing. So what i should specify is that, if you are not doing any form of off roading, or the suv or cross over cant do it in the first place, theres no point in buying one. just get a van. or a car, its cheaper and sometimes not as ugly (not as much for the van though)
I totally agree with that statement about the suv's that aren't capable, but here in Minnesota, and many other states, it is pretty much necessary to have a vehicle that has high ground clearance, and awd, or 4wd because the winters are pretty harsh here and the snow piles up often. But yea i totally agree with you on the suv's that aren't really useful besides looking cool.
thats a lot faster than a civic, corolla, camry, etc. This car is not slow for what it weighs at all. Its definately brisk, and I dont know what they are complaining about. Its as fast if not faster than an X5 for gods sake!
i just dislike all toyotas in general. they all seem eh and crappy interiors and bunch of road noise. they also have like no styling at all, the venza had a good shot but the interior layout of the dash killed it for me. hondas are boring as well.
It's too bad the driver's seat is terrible for anyone over 6 ft tall.

Does it take off on its own too? Or is that an option?

7.8 seconds to 60 is very good for a off road SUV, not a car bassed crossover, but a real suv

7.8 sec. is not half bad for a 4000+ pound SUV. What's actually kinda questionable is the 4400rpm torque peak.
amarrao95 2 years ago
wait t ill they make the stock supercharger for her. yeah its a SUV, and i dont think toyota cares about the 7.8 o-60

As are most SUVs made over seas, the 4Runner is made for the Americans! Cheapest gas is only in the states!

It is an American market SUV but it is assembled and shipped from Japan, unlike the Highlander and Sequoia which are assembled in the U.S.

7-8 sec 0-60 is very good for a real off road suv!!!

i agree, why does a true off road car need to be fast anyway? can't see anyone wanting to put this on a drag strip lol

thats wat vans are made for. seat 7 dont they. and some up to 14

But they lack style and they dont get much better fuel economy if any than a crossover or suv, and they don't have offroading capabilities either.
