2 are just died, 2 go their own ways, but FOR NO ONE, SUICIDE and RING OF CHANGES are in my heart till my last heart beat. Great songs, great band. Regards to all from a huge BJH-Fan from Germany
Thank God for youtube. I haven't heard a lot of this type of music for years. Makes the memories come flooding back. I think this was always one of my favourites.
No, you're not stupid, friend...In fact, two of us passed away : Drummer Mel Prichard, january 2004 cause an heart attack, and more recently Keyboardist Wooly Wolstenholme, by suicide...
These guys were the hero's of my early teenage years with their strong social messages in the lyrics, well you know what they say ' under 30 and not a socialist, you have no heart, over 30 and still a socialist, you have no head'.
I attended many BJH concerts in the UK and as one comment below mentioned about the level of JL guitar being low, it always seemed that way, he was always hard to hear even when playing a solo piece, don't know why.
Hey guys, I'm looking for a live version of this song where John sings "concentrate on what you want to be YEAAAAH" and then the guitar part. You know, he adds a YEAH after the last "to be". Anyone know this live version?
@dennomanno the only live versions of For no one that i've noticed the Yeah after that is from the Barclay James Harvest through the Eyes of John Lees (with Woolly) Revival album from 1999 of the Nexus Tour. And it's Woolly who seems to sing the Yeah part.... don't know if it helps.
I love that Song. Hearing him most driving a car and then very loud. When Gitaresolo get I always have shivers. Fully geiles feeling. thanks for the up.
Brings me at several thoughts! i couldn't quite imagine that John Lees was suddenly back in 1974 the leader of the band, or was it Woolly?? Perhaps, the period before (1968-1973) : it was definite Woolly. Never mind :-) Les was also a genius. I have all the albums of one of the most disregarded bands all times (in my life!). Thank U for sharing

Surely it's Drury Lane! But apart from that impeccable!
Gutted to hear about Woolley recently. He is why I am a keyboard player in a rock band now.

Too bad the guitar isn't louder. Very good sond!

That is it in fact... On the LP/CD : it is the same! Probably something wrong then with the stereo-sound in the live-version back in 1974 ;-)
