Visual-Kei is not a movement. As for Duel Jewel, they are considered a Visual-Kei group. Kei means style, in Japanese. So it is "visual style", it has to do with the fashion, the music and it is even sometimes considered a frame of mind. The voices are usually very elegant, deep. Sometimes light, the music is enchanting and the lyrics deep and meaningful. Those being just a few of the reasons why I prefer J-Rock and Visual Kei over music from the States. Hope that helps!

Think of Japan going through the glamrock stage. I've been listening since early Malice Mizer so it's kind of grown on me, I don't really care and my personal style is more black/death metal. They seem to have grown out of it for the most part though, the music sounds more like nu-metal for most bands now and they all wear black suits.

I don't really listen to much jrock or vk anymore but I still have a dabble on some of the classics every now and again, I just didn't like most western fans.
