@iGarthi Any OS that is based on UNIX is going to be more stable. I am 18 now and have used Windows for most of that time. I have used Linux for about 3 years now. How many BSOD's did I get with Windows? Lost count, too many. How many times have I had kernel panic? Once..today. Due to bad hardware. UNIX is the way forward.
@Darthvies I've had alot of issues with Linux, Ubuntu giving me a black screen. The only times I've gotten a fatal error screen from Windows is with bad hardware(as you claim your Linux does). What you fail to understand is that a WIndows fatal error is never the fault of the Windows kernal itself, blew a hole through your logic.
@iGarthi You don't even know what Linux is! Linux is just a Kernel! How many times did the Kernel crashed on your Ubuntu? The most problems/crashes with GNU/Linux Systems resuls in non GNU/Linux Software (Like X.org)

@jameswx09 id reccomend you get an old macbook because it costs 100$ to make the 13 inch macbook pro, and 150$ to make the 17 inch which costs 2700$ last time i checked. youd really be better off getting an older model, maybe a year older. theyre only slightly slower but can be picked up for much less.
@KioskHacking hahahaha thanx in fact most product from other companies turn out better than apple products for example.. youtube..
blackberry playbook is to be calld the Ipad killer it comes with two cameras man!! one is 3.5 megapixels and the other in the back is a 5. megapixel!! has a duo core!! processor!! the ipad only has one! and and and, multi touching has flash AND, you can hook it up to your blackerry account if you have telephone service with a blackerry. XD apple sucks lol
@SuperNumber19 It looks pretty damn good! Hell I though the HP Slate was going to be an iPad killer but this Blackberry product just might take the cake..as far as TRUE multitasking goes I would say the Slate but the Playbook might be #1 for mobilization!

pretty much everything you can do, I can do lol. I don't even use my actual PC anymore. Actually only problem I found is the small discs.. which I only have 1 of, but I can't put it in my macbook.
Interesting.. Although im sure the higher end games might put up more a challenge for you to run ;P (Games like Crysis on High settings or Oblivion with MAX settings ETC.)
I'll let you know when I try it =P. I have tried a few games on here, and it was completely lag free for me (steam games like css). I can really only speak for the new macbook pro, because that is my only real experience with mac. Even running on "better battery life".
Not at all. Sadly, I just bought mine a few months ago, and there is already new ones out. Mine has Intel Core 2 Duo; 4GB memory (you can choose 4 or 8); 500GB hard drive (which has a lot of choices, obviously), 2.66GHz, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M. I kept everything pretty basic but the hard drive. There is also better options available (like solid-state drive). Plus the longer battery than usual laptops.
Pretty nice .. My PC Is a AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black edition (3.4GHz standard Oc'd at 4 atm) 6GB DDR3, 500 GB HD, and a Radeon HD4850. And im on a 24'' LCD monitor but I could be on a 52'' .. but that's reserved for my Xbox ;)
Nice. I can't even remember the exact specifics of my PC. I built it with complete custom parts, not even a year ago (my motherboard before that fried). My PC has a 24" LCD monitor but my 52" plasma is reserved for television=P and my wii and PS3. I've been looking into getting an xbox... I heard some guys bragging of gears of war, might try it out.
The processor in my PC just came out a week or two ago so it's pretty damn fast.. lol Gears of war is amazing as well .. gory hehe. Now that the 360 Elite's dropped in price the time couldn't be better to get one.. but you gotta buy a HDMI cable seperate now instead of it coming bundled with it :(.
All these comments are dumb. It's brand new. Take it to the Apple store and if they cannot fix the issue they will replace it for free for up to a year without AppleCare.
If you paid 50 dollars you got scammed, went to a scammy place, or don't know your rights as outlined in the warranty.
I said to take it the Apple store because if the computer was "brand new" it would be covered. Why the hell would you take a brand new car to anyone but a dealer to get fixed? The computer was under warranty, so Apple would fix it for free.
So...no....anyone who pays to have someone look at an Apple computer isn't a fool. Someone who has a warranty and pays to get it looked at is a fool.
Dude, all you need to do is delete & reinstall ur operating system. Simple as pie. Put the disc that came w/ur mac in the optical drive, power on the computer & hold down the "C" key BEFORE the chime sounds. You just have corrupted system files. Trust me, I took apple's technician training & could be a genius if the stores near me were hiring for geniuses.
Also, after you start up your computer with the install disc and you are at the screen with the purple aurora background (if u have leopard) or whatever screen with the top menu bar, click on "utilities" the click "disc utility" and then click "verify disc" If it doesn't pass, then click "Repair disc." If it repairs, go ahead and do a full delete and reinstallation of the operating system. Message me if u have questions or call 1800 MY APPLE.
This shows how little you know. Without seeing the log records of what caused the kernel panic you have no way of knowing what caused it. Sure the files could be corrupted, but it could be a few other things.
How ignorant are you?? Somewhere in these comments, I said to boot the computer in VERBOSE mode to see exactly where the problem starts in the startup process. I didn't spend no 325 bucks to not have the knowledge I have about apple computers.
At least yours makes it that far. Mine hits the error at boot.
And you shouldn't have had to spend $50 if you'd bought an AppleCare warranty, or the warranty available from BestBuy (which I'm told is actually good for these things).
I'm backing up my data via their technician machine and having it fixed. Bad logic board and video controller. This is my 3rd thing to go wrong in less than 2 years. Macs are great.. it's just my dumb luck, I guess. Happened with my dreamcast too...
i had same problem, got restore at end( reinstall os x) took me 12 hour with wifi

I'll let you know when I try it =P. I have tried a few games on here, and it was completely lag free for me (steam games like css). I can really only speak for the new macbook pro, because that is my only real experience with mac. Even running on "better battery life".

If you don't mind.. what are the spec's on it?
acynnon 2 years ago
I'm not an actual expert, just so you know lol..

Desterado 2 years ago
Yah, you're right. Anyone with a mac who pays to have someone look at it is a complete FOOL!
Just take to the apple store. Easy as pie.
manicjupiterflute 2 years ago
You're a fucking idiot.
Someone who has a warranty and pays to get it looked at is a fool.

reset ur PRAM.
manicjupiterflute 2 years ago
Dude, all you need to do is delete & reinstall ur operating system. Simple as pie. Put the disc that came w/ur mac in the optical drive, power on the computer & hold down the "C" key BEFORE the chime sounds. You just have corrupted system files. Trust me, I took apple's technician training & could be a genius if the stores near me were hiring for geniuses.
manicjupiterflute 2 years ago
Also, after you start up your computer with the install disc and you are at the screen with the purple aurora background (if u have leopard) or whatever screen with the top menu bar, click on "utilities" the click "disc utility" and then click "verify disc" If it doesn't pass, then click "Repair disc." If it repairs, go ahead and do a full delete and reinstallation of the operating system. Message me if u have questions or call 1800 MY APPLE.

well then tell me if you're such a genius, even after me doing up to 3 new installs, why am i still having this issue?
haril007 2 years ago
do apple hardware test.
manicjupiterflute 2 years ago
This shows how little you know. Without seeing the log records of what caused the kernel panic you have no way of knowing what caused it. Sure the files could be corrupted, but it could be a few other things.
I'm glad you're not a Genius at an Apple store.
Desterado 2 years ago
How ignorant are you?? Somewhere in these comments, I said to boot the computer in VERBOSE mode to see exactly where the problem starts in the startup process. I didn't spend no 325 bucks to not have the knowledge I have about apple computers.
manicjupiterflute 2 years ago
At least yours makes it that far. Mine hits the error at boot.
And you shouldn't have had to spend $50 if you'd bought an AppleCare warranty, or the warranty available from BestBuy (which I'm told is actually good for these things).
I'm backing up my data via their technician machine and having it fixed. Bad logic board and video controller. This is my 3rd thing to go wrong in less than 2 years. Macs are great.. it's just my dumb luck, I guess. Happened with my dreamcast too...

It's youtube, people post videos of themselves lighting their farts on fire.

How can he post a solution when he has no diagnostic codes to follow? He also noted spending 50 bucks to get it fixed and it was still crashing.
