OH NO GLOBAL WARMING WE ARE ALL GONNA FUCKING DIE!! We need to accept the Kyoto Agreement and shut down( or at least put caps on ) all our carbon/gas emmisions. In the process virtually destroying our powerful, wonderful economy and in the long run eventually return to the Stone Age. Here's a message from a patriotic, all-American capitalist from South Carolina: FUCK YOU SOCIALISTS!!! Stop kissing Europe's smelly ass and sucking up to the French who wipe thier asses with silk lol.
Actually its been VERY cold down here. We had snow about a week ago. Who's really ignorant?? I suppose you think we need to accept the Kyoto Protocol, huh? I suppose you LOVE France and the rest of anti-american Europe( they quite forgot that if it wasn't for us, their whole continent would most likely still be Nazi-controlled ). Also I suppose you think President Borat Obama is the savior of the country and is gonna save everyone. Is global warming still Bush's fault?
In fact, you environmental wackos ought to love Bush because in case u forgot, he was the the president who stopped Governor Palin from allowing oil drilling in Alaska. He passed some sort of environmental protection law to protect polar bears( ever heard of simple relocation, Bush? Isn't our economy more important than stupid bears that would tear u apart and eat u alive? ).
Aren't calving glaciers amazing? The sounds they make and everything. The best footage I've ever seen is in a DVD called "Alaska, The Tracy Arm Experience", which can be found on Film Baby. It's available for download. Check it out! It has VERY RARE calving events.
If you want to see calving glaciers, check out this. It has a lot!

Video was taken by Dr. Alex Simms, from the bridge of the ship. I was on the back deck (outside!) enjoying the scenery before my work shift began when this whole thing started. It was most unexpected!
@antarcticexplorer18 Hey! This is Patrick Young. I was also on the back deck. Do you know where to find the video that Tyler shot from the mid-deck, where he was screaming GET OFF THE DECK!?!
gotcha, yeah the biggest wave was probably 35-40 feet on the face as it was created and 15-20 feet by the time got to the ship. waves generated by calving lose a lot of their height really quickly before they sort of stabilize into a swell.
around 40 seconds, you see the wall of the glacier break off...the dark thing is that piece of the glacier bobbing back up to the surface. it was massive. :0)
Hey! Great video!

Not all French. The ones that are mature, nonsocialists, and remember D-Day. They're good. I'm talking about the ignorant, anti-American ones.

the descriptors ''ignorant'' and ''anti-american'' are not necessarily mutually inclusive
