It's very well designed, I will give disney that. It's not a real representation of Hawaii though. I live here and Hawaii is much more than well groomed beaches. If you really want to go snorkeling, get a mask and fins and go snorkeling. Don't wade around in some oversized aquarium. But, this is what people pay for, the idea of Hawaii. Not the raw, beautiful untamed nature.

My family and I were in Oahu this past September, and we were on our way to the Paradise Cove luau; imagine my surprise and giddiness when I saw that Aulani is a 20-minute walk from the luau! :)

Btw, the resort is 45 minutes away from downtown Waikiki and Honolulu...so you're far away from the hustle & bustle and touristy stuff.
