what material are the boards made of: I'm designing a gaming board as a project and my ideas so far include a river and bridges so my first thoughts are laying polystyrene foam board on top of MDF with glue then carving the valley but I'm not sure so any advice will be greatly appreciated,
@TheSw1ftBlade all the boards are extruded polystyrene foam (aka high density closed cell foam) which is sold as insulation foam board here locally (home depot). I don't recommend gluing to mdf as it doesn't protect the top (most important) unless you plan on carving all the way through the foam. I find 1.5" foam allows for a 1" cut with no loss to board strength. Good luck on the project!
I love your boards and can find very little to critique however the river end cap pieces bother me a bit. It just doesnt make sense for a river to dead end. Obviously for game play purposes and versatility there great but I was thinking that it might make more sense if you were to model it as if they were going into an underground cavern/cave complex. It shouldnt be too much work maybe build up the bank a little and carve out the underside? just a thought.
@cityonahillRC Thank you for your comments. I do provide an end cap with the martian board set that has the water flowing 'underground' rather than terminating at a small pond and so buyers can choose either have it finished to match the set. :)
Wow that looks awesome! I love the carving of the rock faces. The step down cuts, sand bars, etc bring everything to the next level of realism and variety. Great work!
I love all the water do! I cant seem to find very many people that use it! could you do a how to vid on how you do it? every time i try it turns out like crap :/
Your attention to detail is amazing and can clearly see you put a lot of time and effort into the product. Those cliff faces are amazing -- especially doing them with a hot wire cutter. The consistency is the most impressive.
The verdant green color scheme really makes the boards pop and the details stand out.

Very excited about the order. Swamp looks good. Of course, the verdant set at the end is pretty awesome.

I reckon GW should offer you a job, making the terrain for Games Day.
Seriously, that board is amazingly fucking epic.

You're terrain looks great as always! Keep up the great work!
BTW, you could always use a laser pointer rather than using you finger and blocking most of the view. Just a thought!

@HumaKaVoola8900 great idea. I have a pointer already. Can't believe I never thought to use it. Will do in the future!
