I don't know if it's better or worse that Filmation actually seems to be TRYING to do some decent animation here (look at the girl in the band)-- They're failing miserably, but unlike most of their cartoons, they seem to be TRYING. Usually, a character like that would have maybe a 6 position sequence looped, where she's banging the tambourine on her hip or something.
@Pterixa I realized that as soon as I hit "post", but I'm glad someone noticed it now and not like 6 months from now. Compared to most of HB's stuff from the same period, they still seem to be trying to make the characters move a little more here, but the art really suffers for it.
I always remembered this show! (Even though for decades I had forgoten its name!) If you break it down... it has tie-ins to a a ridiculous number of earlier entertainment gimmicks! The side-kick dog (Scooby Do, Et Al) the pop-band/mystery solvers! The Super Computer mentor (used in pretty much EVERY sci-fi show of the time!) References to the monkees, the Partridge Family... the list goes on!
i remember this song i thought id made it up in my head , now i remember,mr socrates the computer was allergic to the dog great stuff not like the rubbish they turn out today
Now, here's a trip in the way back machine. I actually recorded the song from the show each week on cassette back when it aired. (The VCR was still a few years away). Lord knows if I still have it or if it works. Before there were music videos there was this ...
BC was supposed to be inspired by - big surprise - David Cassidy. I think he looked more like Rick Springfield. The radio ring was pretty cool, though.
Anyone remember that song "Stranger"

From what I've seen, David Cassidy was the main influence, although Rick Springfield as an influence is also plausible.
