  • The single payer program was the intent from the beginning. He said that if you like your insurance you can keep it, but the public option prices it out of existence for companies. Every one of the numbers in the bill indicates that it was the intent to force everyone into this miss from the get. As of today though, the good news is it’s falling apart under closer scrutiny.

  • Nader > Obama

  • SOCIAL SECURITY.

    MEDICARE.

    MEDICAID.

The Republicans want to kill these. But look at what the people say! Look at JANE CORWIN go down in flames, in New York's 26th SUPER CONSERVATIVE House race where a DEMOCRAT, Kathy Hochul just DESTROYED the "KILL MEDICARE" candidate, Jane "I HATE SENIORS" Corwin.

The Teaheads and Republicans are TOAST. EVERY REPUBLICAN IN CONGRESS except for 4, VOTED TO KILL MEDICARE. They will be all OUT, come 2012. Can't wait for it to begin.

    Nuff said.

  • @medartist01 I agree

  • DAMN DAMN DAMN we the people fucked up for hiring this fool!

  • The truth is plain and simple: in a Capitalistic system, everything is subject to monopoly, even your health.

  • Bronzecop has to be, A.) Incredibly stupid. B.) Extrememly funny. C.) A Marxist. Dude. You're seriously missing the point on socialism. When the government forces you to give to someone else, it's ROBBERY, NOT charity. Hello! Earth to Comrade Lenin! We are talking to you! LOL You know damn right well that shit is mentioned nowhere in the constitution.

  • @jeffhickman10 I & yourself answered your question & yet you continue to be a broken record. Federal taxes may not be mentioned on the constitution, but there is an amendment to make sure federal taxes do not become ill-proportioned. Otherwords you're just a freeloader who thinks it wrong to pay taxes to contribute to your country, if thats whats bothering you you could go to Australia & not pay taxes XD LMAO ROTF.

  • @Bronzecop THAT'S your answer? You're serious. Nowhere in the constitution does it talk about redistribution of wealth. I am responsible for ME. YOU are responsible for YOU. Kinda outmoded I know bu, that's the way it is, TURD. You're too stupid to argue with. I'm done with you commie! You can't answer the question so, YOU LOSE. LOL!!!!!!1

  • @Bronzecop THAT'S your answer? You're serious. Nowhere in the constitution does it talk about redistribution of wealth. I am responsible for ME. YOU are responsible for YOU. I sure won't.

  • @jeffhickman10 What the hell dude not once I talked about redistribution of wealth, Norway doesnt take your land & split it among 100 families. This is Norway, a Social Democracy were talking about not a Communist State like China. You're a fuckin idiot to not comprehend what I was talking about the whole time, your attempt to make a mockery of me was horrible. You slaughtered yourself on this one, thinking Norway is the same as China you're fucking joke XD LMAO ROTF

  • Howard Dean and Max Bacus admit that Obamacare will redistribute wealth. If you haven't checked your health insurance premium lately, check it now. It's going up as I'm writing in this blog. The recent implementation of coverage of single adults 26 yrs-old by their parents is causing the demand and price to go up. After all, parents will have to pay for it. If Obamacare goes full blown (God forbids) watch how wealth is redistributed: Everyone will have to pay for the freeloaders

  • @bronzecop ur an idiot, we are the moat wealthy and most healthy country

  • And by the way, universal healthcare has FAILED in every country that has tried it!

  • @XYZfilmz1 Sorry but your statement is not true. There are a number of countries that have universal healthcare, where it works. Denmark is one of those.

  • @swishler Go move there.

  • @hoorano Actually I live there.

  • @swishler Tell us of Denmarks end-of-life care; How does the govt bureaucrats decide whether you receive treatment or not. When the bureaucrat says no to treatment what are the alternatives? Painkillers? Assisted suicide? What is the limited budget of Denmark to spend for people in critical treatments or drugs? Tell us about pre-birth treatments and what's the govt's policies of children w/ down syndrome? Is abortion a requirement?

  • @hoorano Well the govt bureaucrats do not decide wheter or not you get treatment. They can`t tell the health care system to deny treatment to any patient. If something can be done. Offcourse there are terminal ill patients, where its no longer a matter of helping them other than making sure they have no pain. We dont have the whole Kevorkian setup here, and assisted suicide is illegal.

There is no limited budget for any patient. If it`s within the possibilities of drugs, tests or whatever.

  • @swishler Thank you for sharing the info. I'm sorry for being rude. The health care debate in the US is very heated as you can see. A 2 tier system is not bad, but it takes 8.6% of Denmark's GDP. That percentage is double of the US military buget, 4.7% of the GDP. I bet if the US were to assimilate Denmark's HC, we'd be broke.

  • @hoorano You were not rude bud. Rather I saw intelligent and well researched comments. Which is kinda rare. Usually when people "discuss" here its: "you suck" if they cant give a rebuttal that has meaning or merit. I have ALOT of american friends, and yes the debate is very heated unfortunatly. What works one place will not necessarily work somewhere else. Thx for the discussion Hoorano.

  • @swishler I made a major mis-assumption. The US health care spending is 17% of GDP! We are broke! My argument against Obamacare is that the health care spending will rise even more since more people will jump on the freeloader wagon that everyone have to pay for heaven forbids. Well, you take care and I would love visit Denmark some day. I heard it's very beautiful there.

  • @hoorano Abortion is not a requirement.

  • @swishler Denmark's HC system is a 2 tier system which you have a choice of public option and paying for HC insurance that is partially subsidized by the govt. I read that majority of the Danish people choses the latter. The option to pay for HC is probably better. Which option do you have? Upon researching end-of-life care of Denmark, they rank 22nd. US & Canada are 9th according to the WHO. I bet Canada is high because they can come to the US for treatments their govt refuses.

  • @hoorano You can pay a small fee every month to be insured. This will give help pay for dentist bills and medicin. Will even help you if you need glasses. It will not pay all of it. Only a certain percentage. It does not cover major treatment, since that is free. So basically the insurance is for "minor" things. Its not a one vs the other option, excluding the other. Wheter or not to pay for HC is a good idea, was not why I responded to that guys post. It was his statement that was not true.

  • @hoorano The majority atleast the smarter ones do pay the fee to have extra help paying the dentist bills and so on. In terms of end-of-life care being better or more advanced in which country, I have no idea. My knowledge of that matter only goes to a certain extent, as to which country is better or the fine details.

  • Obama is a fucking idiot, he just lied to national tv. Hes is trying to impliment socialism. Bill ayers said, "when we impliment socialism, we will have to MURDER 25 MILLION americans. So fuck all you obama lovers, just wait till this country bows down to obama, just wait.......

  • Ok folks imagine this scenario. Some of us throughout the course of our lives will visit or maybe even work in a foreign country.

Lets say 300,000 Americans gave some relief effort to a foreign country, and lets say in that country your fellow countrymen were being spat at, punched, and wounded. Wouldn't you feel an obligation to defend your own people?

Why all the in fighting between Non Healthcare vs Pro Healthcare. Lets all be Americans. Lets help one another out!

  • He should've answered "Well, I was talking to the AFL-CIO. I need their support so I'll tell them anything, but you shouldn't take anything I tell them seriously. Come on. They're a union. You think I'm actually going to fulfill any campaign promises to them?"

  • The guy is a Socialist. And anyone who refuses to admit it or refuses to see it must be one as well. It's high time you wake up. These people WILL take over every aspect of your life in the name of fairness. Vote them out! Ask why in the world is Van Jones still assiciated with this administration. Van Jones, an unabashed COMMUNIST. Is this what you really voted for?

  • @jeffhickman10 You say that because he has done something for society. Are you trying to say all the other very high income countries in the world are communist because they have universal healthcare?

  • @Bronzecop No. That is NOT what I'm saying. How can a society function if it is bankrupt? I guess you don't have a problem with a 12 trillion dollar debt. And it's STILL growing. Tell me. What society will be left for my kids and grandkids if this reckless spending continues? We are no longer a High Income country as you have stated. We are BROKE! But as long as YOU get something for nothing, then all is right with the world. Get a clue! Does Greece ring any bells?

  • @jeffhickman10 Just because you're in debt doesnt mean you have no more income, it'll be paid off slowly just like with anyone. Universal healthcare is not reckless, the money stays in the circle. Oh please we are still a very high income country, I think you havnt seen our GDP yet. Yes I remember Greece, but our country is not split into 5+ factions now is it? If you think this is bad visit Ukraine or Phillipines real quick.

  • @Bronzecop Fine. You tell me how in the world this debt will be paid back. Oh, and for the record, the GDP is NOTHING to brag about. Look at what it was 10 years ago. Unsecured debt will kill us as a country. When you the debt outstrips the income, that is the very definition of bankruptcy. Obama is fast tracking us there as we speak. If you have children, this should alarm you. If not. Get ina time machine and move to the Soviet Union. You'll see what I mean.

  • @jeffhickman10 I did (slowly) with the annual GDP I think we put $1 trillion a year towards debt, I have to look it up again. You've said was wasteful spending but universal healthcare is not wasteful, so I'm missing your point here. There are high paying jobs out there that require a degree & that tells me the everything is not going down the hole since ppl can be paid $85,000+ a year. The Immigration reform will fix some of this, repairs take time & a lot of it and 8 years worth has been done.

  • @Bronzecop So what you're saying is "It's all Bush's fault." Wake up man. This guys social policies are going to push us over the edge into the bottomless pit called banruptcy. Universal healthcare IS a wasteful endeavor. Why do you think it had to be passed on the sly. Why do you think they wouldn't tell us what was in the bill? Because it's NOT good for the country, that's why. Doctors are turning Medicare patients away at this very moment. Move to Canada if this is the system you want.

  • @jeffhickman10 Pretty much, Obama was handed this mess when he came in. I find it hard to believe patients are being turned away, I wasnt turned away when I got my wisdom teeth pulled. Oh you can read all 1000 pages for yourself if you got the time to see whats on the bill. If you think its wasteful tell Japan, Canada, Sweden, U.K., U.A.E & every very high income country that. All these guys live healthier than we do & I think its about time we caught up on that.

  • @Bronzecop For the record, it's over 2,000 pages long. Where do you grt your info, Obama? And secondly, it didn't even become effective yet. I'll gladly tell the other BANKRUPT countries that their entitlements are what's bringing them down. I don't feel that I'm responsible to pay for your healthcare. You pay for it. That's your job, not the governments or mine. Move to the countries you mentioned. I'll keep my freedom. Or at least what's left of it after shithead Obama has his way.

  • @jeffhickman10

But rather you like it or not, there are those Americans who do support this healthcare reform. It has passed into law so whether the Right or Left agrees, we as Americans must obey. But you are entitled to your beliefs. That's what makes America free. Personally I agree with the plan, but than again that's just me.

I respect yours, and I hope you respect mine.

In any event, whatever each of us believes, its already passed into law.

  • @pluto4847 The new Republican House of Representative will not fund Obamacare. The next president (conservative more than likely) can repeal the law if hardly anyone is receiving the benefits. After all, Obamacare is totally unappealing when it comes to cost and having a bureaucrat deciding whether if you can receive treatment or not.

  • @jeffhickman10 Funny how I didnt see your comment, I looked up a .gov site for the artcile (forgot what it was though). & FYI buddy you're NOT paying for my healthcare when the healthcard comes around next term, my taxes are. When the healthcard comes around it'll be having like military medicine all over again :p Your freedoms are not being taken away with this healthcare reform XD LMAO ROTF

  • @Bronzecop Why don't you move to Canada, UK, China, N. Korea, or Cuba since you love universal HC. Don't worry. We won't miss you. I rather have my personal doctor decide of the treatment vs bureaucrats making the decision (this is the freedom jeffhickman10 & I prefer). Polls are showing that Repblicans are favored to dominate. They'll not fund Obamacare. The next conservative president will repeal Obamacare.

  • @hoorano & when next term comes around you will still have the choice to keep going to your personal doctor. & try telling all the veteran marines around here who have pre-exisiting conditions from Vietnam to move to another country, I bet $50 all of them are going to say Fuck You Maggot, Im voting non-corporate backed democrats again XD LMAO ROTF. Also polls are not a determining factor since everyone is not using the polls & some people joke around of those polls giving false in-sights.

  • @Bronzecop It's the employer who chooses the HC provider, idiot! The premiums are now rising to cover the single 26 yrs-old babies living w/ their parents. If Obamacare goes full swing, it can destoy HC as we know it. If the mandate was fair, employers should've been required to offer both private & govt HC. To cut business cost, employers would choose the govt HC. This will be stopped by the Republican congress next year.

  • @Bronzecop Non corporate backed democrats? LOL! You're kidding me right? Now I know you're an idiot! They are CONTROLLED by labor unions. What's the difference? Ever hear of the SEIU? No? It's time you take the Obama-Biden sign out of your front yard. You are too stupid to be even a half-assed liberal. I always knew you guys were dilusional, but you, my communist friend, take the cake. The bar has been lowered substantially by your sub-moronic intellect. Move to Canada. Good riddence! LMAO!

  • @Bronzecop You better read closer. We are ALL paying for each other. And, costs WILL increase, qualty of care WILL go down and you CANNOT keep your doctor. It DOES take away MY freedom because it is a federal mandate to BUY the product. Which is, as you may or may not know,(my guess is that you don't know) is unconstitutional. If that's not taking away my freedom to choose then I don't know what is. Take your Obama shirt off buddy. Your asshole won the election. One term only, massive repeal.

  • @jeffhickman10 Havnt seen any increases on my premium & I dont mind contributing through taxes so I know you're full of it. Bush messed a lot of things up, people seem to forget that Obama inherited this; the country is not going to go down with universal healthcare its going to go up. Fuck West Europe, Northern & Central Europe have it set with social democracy & look how much they picked things back up after the world wide recession. Its getting instated so you can leave if you dont like it.

  • @Bronzecop I see every day how much they have picked things back up. Ya know, riots in France and England and such. Why are they rioting? Because the government cut back, way back, on social programs. They are reducing their spending. Why then, are we increasing ours? It seems that even Europe has figured out that that kind of spending is unsustainable. Sit on your couch and bankrupt the country you slug!

  • @jeffhickman10 Talk all the shit you want & make those McCain claims it'll be 2008 all over again XD LMAO ROTF.When you look at Norway whose GDP is a measly $250 Billion can afford everything I just mentioned earlier for their people, not only that Norway is the most successful country in the world. Yet our GDP is close to $15 trillion & there is a struggle to just to barely raise the min. wage. Population wise the U.S. & Norway can afford all of it.

  • @Bronzecop You're so stupid you would need three promotions to get to be an asshole. Move to Norway. Go now! We won't miss you!

  • @Bronzecop You think Obama is doing better? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Did you know that the govt HC czars can deny treatment even if a person is covered? UK 's NICE do it to the elderly & seriously ill (cancers, life threatening injuries). I can't get over that you think Obama is doing a good job. HAHAHAHAHA!

  • @hoorano The next time you open your mouth buddy try to understand the difference between a Social Democracy & a Communist state. The examples right now Norway & China are way different from each other. Want figures? take a quick look at CIA World Factbook look at their GDP & read how countries like Norway, Sweden, Denmark etc. provide all the things I just mentioned earlier on their measly $300, $250 or $200 Billion GDP. & if you still dont trust CIA World Factbook. WIki says the same thing

  • @jeffhickman10

Its already passed into law. I don't see any alternatives. I don't see why Americans should have move to Canada if they want Universal healthcare. If we can help Haiti, pay for wars, and bail out foreign banks, surely Americans would be more open to helping out other Americans.

Although our political agendas differ, we are both Americans. If you were in a burning building and I could help, I would help you. I'm sure you'd do the same.

As America, we care about each other

  • @Bronzecop FYI, Obama raise the debt $3 trillion ever since he started. It's going to rise if the tax cuts don't get extended. He don't care about the debt so long as he succeeds in his socialist agenda. The stimulus failed in creating jobs. Unemployment raised from 8.5% to 9.6% since he began. It's going up if Obamacare is implemented. Bush maintained 7.5% unemployment. Oh how we miss the prosperous times. Obama has no one to blame but himself, Reid, Pelosi, Frank, Dodd, & other leftist.

  • @hoorano Blame the people who inherited Bush's mess who been in office 1.83 years & you expect it to be fixed in a year. Most jobs a require a degree now & many people dont have a degree. Universal healthcare is sustainable look at those countries whose GDP is a small $300 billion but their population is about a 3rd of ours. Buy into that neo-merc non sense all you want we all know that you dont want everyone to have the same chance as rich kids. Gov't healthcare rocks just like Gov't benefits.

  • @Bronzecop The late Ronald Reagan got the economy going after 2 years with the democrats against it all the way. He did put the US in debt, but it was worthwhile. Reagan ended the Cold War without firing a shot.

Show me your brilliance. In detail, how will Obama's economic policies bring us back to prosperity? How will his tax & spend bring back the roaring 80s or big tech boom of the 90s? I triple dare you to explain the economics of Obama's plan.

  • @Bronzecop Where are you getting your figures, USSR? Again, show us your brilliance and tell us how Obamacare is sustainable? With GDP falling how the heck is it going to balance the budget? Obama doing a good job. . .HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Oops I fell off my chair. hee hee,

  • @hoorano & nice try with the debt claim, our annual GDP is $15 trillion & the $3 trillion he spent is not over the limit. & really dude how pitiful can you get when everyone knows un-employment fluctuates around 1%, in 2009 year un-employment was hanging around 12% in year it dropped by 3%; hes doing a good job if you ask me. & when that bill gets passed with the DADT repeal I wonder how much more un-employment percentage will drop since it'll be $300 Billion for the military to get more ppl in.

  • @Bronzecop Assholes like you always have Bush to fall back on huh? When you have no answers, and lets face it, Obama is completely CLUELESS, as are YOU. You guys ALWAYS fall back to BIOB(blame it on Bush). Tell me. Did Obama make ANY missteps? This president has gone out of his way to bring our country down. And Universal Healthcare? If it's so good why is most of western europe cutting it back drastically? You wanna know why? Because it COSTS TOO MUCH! Look it up. You really are stupid.

  • @jeffhickman10 & before you go on one of your foolish rants take a quick look at how they're running things & what they have in Northern & Central Europe. Those country's GDPs are around $300 or $200 Billion & yet they can afford universal healthcare, free further education, $18/hour min. wage, child support checks for anyone in any social class, benefits for working mothers & I dont know how many others things I dont know about.

  • @Bronzecop Face it. You hate the USA exceptionalism. You want USA to become a mediocre. . . rather 3rd world country. You like the zero sum game that makes everyone poor except the govt officials. You're jealous of the big corporations & wish to steal their earnings (if this is so, I wonder who's really the greedy one) while you sit your butt on the sofa watching tv. HAHAHAHAHA. Obama doing a good job? HAHAHAHA!

  • @Bronzecop And when has the Federal Government EVER run ANYTHING efficiantly? Give one(1) example. Sounds like you want the U.S. to go the way of Spain, Portugal and Italy. And all this talk of GDP. What are you kidding me? They don't have the population that we have either! 300 million people give or take. Your math makes about as much sense as you do. Socialism doesn't work. It took the Russians 70 years to figure that out. Are you Russian by any chance? LOL!

  • @jeffhickman10 Nice long rants buddy it means I'm getting to you, jeez buddy ever heard of the military or how about civil rights, social security is also effectively ran by the federal gov't. & funny how dumbasses such as yourself think there is only one form of socialism, also Portugal & Spain are part of West Europe not Central & Nothern Europe. & when I asked you to look at Central & Northern Europe you sure left out all the big players in Social Decmocracy.

  • @Bronzecop I guess you told me! LOL! You're stupidity gets to me, no t you personally. One form of socialism? They're ALL BAD! Boy are you stupid Charlie Brown! LOL. Tell me where in the constitution is socialism mentioned? Jackass!

  • @jeffhickman10 Nice insults buddy & how blind of you 'They're all bad". Oh really? What about the elements of socialism that have been in the country that has been taken for granted? Such as schools, libaries, hospitals, the military, land ownership, etc. If you're going to become illogical than do not speak at all. Move to Norway hmmmmm not a bad idea, but I'll keep my U.S. citizenship & assets while enjoying the humanitarian mindset & lifestyle in Norway XD LMAO ROTF.

  • @jeffhickman10 Oh & in the constitution (heres the popular one that screams socialism all over it). ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Bronzecop So what does that have to do with socialism?. I guess you missed the part that says we are endowed by our CREATOR with inalienable rights. That doesn't mean GOVERNMENT. Charity is something that a person WANTS to do. When it is forced by the government it is ROBBERY. Please go to Norway and reject your U.S. citzenship. No NORMAL American is buying what you are selling. November 2nd is coming up and it will be a tremendous smackdown to your socialist ideas. LOL! Comrade, you suck!

  • @jeffhickman10 What do you mean what does it have to do with socialism? XD LMAO. Equality of life for everyone & the federal gov't helps endorse it, jeez have you ever taken a sociology class? Sociology is the basics of socialism & its not that marxist-lenin nonsense everyone think its to be, although its discussed in sociology every sociology book tells you that marxist-leninism is extreme. If you dont want to pay taxes stranger than vote in tax breaks for your group.

  • @Bronzecop You didn't answer the question. WHERE is THAT in the Constitution? According to the constitution, we are endowed with inalienable rights from our CREATOR. Is the federal government your creator?

  • @jeffhickman10 Jeez buddy you answered your own question with me answering it as well & you still failed to understand it. Basic socialism is equality for everyone & maintaining proper function in "society". Inalienable rights such as the right to education, the right to vote, the freedom of speech, its all basic socialism. It doesnt have to say its socialism, the way its carried out makes it socialism. Apparently you're the idiot here, go educate yourself at any college to see for yourself.

  • @Bronzecop You still didn't answer the question. You're too funny! LOL!

  • @jeffhickman10 Oh for the end of your comment, I'm sorry buddy but I'm keeping my U.S. citizenship & U.S. assets & live the very high income life in Norway while keeping my right to vote in the U.S. to make the country become superior like Norway (& like the other top 10 countries in the world).

  • @Bronzecop I demand that you give up your citizenship. You being here just makes the rest of the country DUMBER! LOL Just leave. You're a funny asshole. Norway could use you.

  • @Bronzecop Are you saying that Obama is more responsible in spending & doing a good job? So you defy all the polls show that the people are dissatisfied w/ Obama's performance? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • @Bronzecop I think what jeffhickman10 is trying to say is that redistribution of wealth, which Howard Dean and Max Bacus admit to, never helped a country thrive. USA thrived because of free market. Most of the medical technological breakthroughs was done in the US. UK, Canada, Australia, Japan don't have (rather refuse to treat) drugs to help patients who need them. If you think that the quality of health care will remain the same, you got another thing coming.

  • @hoorano Didnt mention a word of redistribution, nor it was on my mind lol. Quality of healthcare stay the same with universal healthcare? It'll likely increase because people will be more busy working than busy sitting home sick.

  • @Bronzecop You must love your state's health clinic. Obamacare will cause the quality of US HC to suffer - overcrowded and understaffed. The economics of an universal HC will hurt the HC industry:

1 Raise the HC spending %age of GDP according to CBO

2 Freeloaders will jump on the bandwagon causing a major shift in demand raising the cost

3 The higher cost, lower the quality

4 Current doctors will jump ship since govt determines treatment for patients; thus, causing a shortage of doctors

  • @hoorano Since its your idea why dont you move since you want to be the crab that holds everyone back. If U.S. Doctors jump we can always hire foreign doctors who take their career as a career. Anyways the plan says it will use 1% of the GDP each year over the course of 10 years not a lot of money just like social security lol. Besides when everyone gets their healthcard next term a lot of ppl wont be using the expsensive personal doctor when they get what they need from the card.

  • @Bronzecop No. I love the USA. I'm willing to fight & die for it. If Denmark's 2 tier state assisted HC uses 8.6 of their GDP, the US will use even more. Right now Medicare/aid is using 17% of the GDP, killing our economy & unsustainable. Obamacare will displace Medicare/aid and cost even more since more people would be covered. US health industry will go down. Rationing of HC never resulted in high quality. Since you are in love wi/ Obamacare, get it elsewhere. It will be killed.

  • @jeffhickman10 You say socialism? Have you ever been to England? Have you? Do you think we are less free than England? In England they have: TV TAX Poll Tax Toad Tax CCTV cameras watching everybody A Complete ban on smoking in Public Its a crime to take photos of police officers Unemployment is higher in the UK--no Jobs So after reading all that, is America worse off than England? I say we are still much better off. England is socialist, not America.
  • @pluto4847 He's pushing us that way. Is that what you want? Because it's coming to a town near you.

  • OMG! Does this man know how to squirm his way oout of his own dam words or what?!

  • Bull crap! He is lying because he knows that single payer won;t be popular.

  • OBAMA= One Big Ass Mistake America

  • great work obama, you've started corporate fascism for the healthcare industry. The single payer system never made it on the bill.

  • Barak Obama's Health Care Proposal, Will it improve american populous. .? US opinions are important!! Check out my you tube channel and learn more

  • Summation: Obama tried to do something extremely difficult, which was change something. He's just trying to stay true to his campaign promises. Did he bite off more than he could chew? most definately. Did he atleast get something done? yes. Now he has another 2 years to get some other stuff right.

Video: yes, he fucked up. They all fuck up. Every politician has inconsistencies

  • As far as the government running things they can run things well when they need to. IRS, FBI, and CIA run very smoothly and efficiently. They don't f**k up anymore than most corporations (i.e. Toyota, GM, Ford, countless drug companies).

How many drug companies have had to recall drugs in the last 5 years? Have you tried getting something done with your phone or your cable TV lately? delays and screw ups exist on all level of business. Public or private.

  • Obama is merely doing what republicans constantly fail to

keeping a promise which he makes

  • I wish someone would shoot this piece of shit. fuck osama this nigger dumbfuck needs to die.

  • a large precentage of the UK supports the idea of an NHS in America

but we do not believe that Obama is a socialist

  • @Bolshe...yeah, and we believe that your queen is really a man.

  • @chetohimler was that supposed to insult me?

  • @BOLSHEVIXTREME ...it was to redicule your statement that you're countrymen don't believe Obama is a socialist. My comment was designed to make you think twice. I've never seen your queen in person and don't know much about her. So I guess I can make a stupid comment, just like you did. Right?

  • that's because he's not a socialist

only a paranoid food fool would believe he is

it takes more than merely nationalizing the health care system to make you socialist

he is a warmonger who has extended the "war on terror" into pakistan and yemen

that is not socialist at all

    get your facts straight conservative

  • @BOLSHEVIXTREME ..socialized medicine? When the Gov't, aka "society" pays for your health needs...thats Socialism. Those are my FACTS. Dumbo.

  • shut the fuck up you fucking idiot.

  • I've been WAITING to find a clip here that combined those scenes together.

Now to find a video that not only has these clips but also the one from a certain interview (already President at the time), where he says he doesn't want to "change a system people have been used to using", or something like that, in regards to further distancing himself from what he said on his campaign prior to the debate.

  • That's funny. That clip he consistently says we need the government to take over the business (those were his words) and he supports the single payer health care.

  • the main stream media knew obama would be ruin the democrats

    thats why they supported Hilary

but now that he's president, they have to support him

  • Forcing the purchase of insurance is conversion if not seizure. Useful idiots believe government is going to care for them. Health care isn't the issue, it's about liberty being eroded by rogue politicians. This is no longer a democratic republic when payola is used to pass law or non-elected officials like czars or EPA goons dictate policy by arbitrary order or decree. "A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have". Thomas Jefferson

  • I agree with most of your post except this country has never been a democracy. It has always been setup for the benefit for a small minority at the expense of the majority. One good example is how the president is elected. The people never elect the president the electoral college does. This was created to insure and maintain the status quo. If his current plan passes we will get a watered down bill that will be a free for all for the insurance industry-one big giveaway. Profits galore!

  • lol ole Barry needs the teleprompter

  • According to the sixth tracking poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation, 57 percent of Americans believe that tackling health care reform is more important than ever, up from 53 percent in August. The proportion of Americans who believe their families would be better off after an overhaul is up six percentage points to

42 percent and the proportion who think that the country would be better off is up eight points to 53 percent.

  • Also, keep in mind the USA Today poll from last week! 41% wants reform while 43% do not. The other 16% were neutral. The majority does not want health care!

  • ha ha reminds me of mister flip flop kerry. his goal is single payer that is obviuos. public option will lead to it, is just a matter of time. No competition, no basising it on our countries founding ideas of limited government control. socialism will be here before we know it.

  • Lies, lies, lies. Obama does NOT support single payer, single payer advocates weren't even allowed to SPEAK at the hearings for this bill. What you call "limited government" (putting profits ahead of people) is NOT a founding idea of our nation, it's just a founding idea of big business profiteers killing for money. Calling Obama's plan "Socialism" is an absurd lie. It's not even vaguely close.

  • no it is socialism. but when people see the word socialism they think that it is the same as communism.

    Socialism = public

    Capitalism = Private

  • @john12892 Lie. Socialism means that government controls all the means of production. It MIGHT be argued that a single-payer system could be, possibly, described as "socialism." The plan put forward by Obama isn't vaguely CLOSE to single payer, and single payer advocates were banned from the discussion. Obama is another DLC centrist, not a liberal and nowhere close to socialist. Nothing's being done to really address the needs of the poor in this nation...as usual.

  • true socialism means that, but what i am saying that when people read that weird they think communism, not the same. i think i would honestly take socialism over capitalism, where the means of production is controled by the greedy and wealth of america. and the system he is going for isnt single-payer, he reform is mostly restrictions on the private insurance

  • @john..well in America with its Capitalism, if you work hard, have a devotion, a talent, an idea, courage to succeed or fail and faith in yourself,...ANYONE can aquire wealth. Its called opportunity. If one is dependant on the Gov't, you have preset limitations. Why do foreigners migrate to the U.S? Opportunity. They want to get away from the economical limitations their Gov't has put upon them. You can either live on a slum, or in Beverly Hills...its your choice. No Change for Me.

  • I honestly don't know what your argument has anything to do with healthcare?

  • @john...your argument is about Capitalism & Socialism. I thought I'd respond to your comments.

  • yea i got into capitalism and socialism. but i was arguing healthcare..... but i do agree with you.

  • @john..thanks for your kind words.

  • @john12892 You would take Socialism over Capitalism? You are fucking retarded. Did you graduate from High School? you're probably yet another American who wants free hand-outs and have your government whipe your ass too.

  • @DaCosmicCat i would rather not be ripped off by greedy people then getting something given by the government. people need to realize they will be responsible for stealing from people. And people like you are the problem with america, probably some suburban spoiled kid who got the republican view from your parents. try getting out of your freshman year before you speak about an issue you havent looked into. dueces

  • @john12892 I'm 29 years old, female from Japan, I am a pediatrician and work with disabled children also.. and I dont share republican views nor totally agree with democrats.

  • @DaCosmicCat you come from a nation that has greater healthcare system (from what you say) so why are you commenting? a healthcare system that was created by Americans in the first place.

  • @john12892 I NEVER even implied that my country has good healthcare. Where did I say that dipshit? I can comment on any fucking thing I please and if you don't like it then block me.

  • @DaCosmicCat why would i block you? I like getting stupid comments from random people for me to reply too. And healthcare is the debate here, so if you dont have two sense to put forward, quit commenting. dueces

  • Socialism does not mean the govt controls all aspects of production. You americans consider my homeland of Canada to be socialist as we have a universal healthcare system and indeed some industries here are controlled by the govt. That is done for essential services only to prevent business from colluding together to set prices. Our hydro is also controlled by the govt so that if a private busiess wants to make more money then people dont freeze to death in their homes. It works quite well here.

  • @john12892 I know the difference between the two, and calling single payer "socialist" does NOT meet the definition of the word.

Regardless, Obama's OPPOSED single-payer and refused to even allow it to be discussed. Calling the Obama Health Care plan "Socialism" Is an assinine lie. It's not remotely close.

  • @ john12892 Now single payer and pubblic option are gone...so the CEOcommie are happy to pay their bloody rates to the CEOs gains.

  • Really, well please direct me as to where I can go and read in any US code that it states you have a 'right' to affordable health care. Better yet, any health care. You want to really bring costs down? Tort reform and let every insurance company do business in every state which is not currently allowed.

  • The number one problem with health care costs is third party payment. The number two problem is you can't buy catastrophic health insurance. You can buy or get health insurance through your employer, but it has hundreds of mandates in it that raise the cost for all of us. Marriage counseling isn't catastrophic medical. It is mandated by some state. The third problem is everyone thinks that everything they need in health care should be free and guaranteed. WTF is that about?

  • how do you know Canada loves the new health care? all you hear is what the news tells you.

sure you can get ONE Canadian to say its good.

  • Insurance companies are gangsters. Pay up or something bad could happen to you. SINGLE PAYER PERIOD! The last thing you should have to worry about when you are sick is how you are going to pay for it.

  • Plan you seem to ignore that FACT that our elected officials are also gangsters.

  • I didn't ignore the fact, I just didn't address it. I agree criminals run our government.

  • Well, we agree on somthing! lets leave it at that ;)

  • Ha ha, single payer failed, LOL! Liberals are scum of the earth! LOL!

  • I am a republican and Liberals are not scum, while they may be wrong on some issues this is not one of them

  • Canada had a military to fend off the US from taking over their lands too. The US has so much land, but they have never been happy with it, they always want someone elses too. It why they are so hated. Be happy with your own back yard, and keep off other peoples. The arabs have been killing themselves for millenia, they are only happy chopping off peoples heads. so leave them alone, they won't learn or change.

  • If you notice the discrepancy between those two statements by Obama then you are a racist.

  • He couldn't hear because his head was in his ASS!

  • KILL THE BILL, I work for healthcare industry, we provide good services. We are talking about your lives here, even if you pay 50% of earning to us is reasonable. Your lives are more important...Couple thousands of dollars/month to save your family is not that much!!!

  • Fuck you , we provide good services . Yea , that's why the USA ranks 37th in health care quality worldwide . It only ranks 18th for those to whom money is no option . That is why wealthy Americans are more likel to go overseas for health care . If the system doesn't work in Canada , why did they vote Tommy Douglas , the father of universal healthcare the Greatest Canadian of all time . He was known primarily for his pushing the current system into being . Canadians are happy with their system .

  • haha dam im pretty sure 60% of the united states can't afford a couple thousands of dollars a month

  • Of course you support FOR PROFIT health care, you're one of the benificiaries of a system the MAJORITY of americans do not want.

  • cyrusfx1 is blind.

As a canadian I can tell you all now our single-payer system is an abysmal failure; Why do you Americans think we shut down our military? The cost of health care increases exponentially, thus it is unrealistic to think a government could ever provide it on a long term-basis (without becoming totalitarian).

You Americans are so easily manipulated by emotional pseudo-scientific bullshit distributed by people like Michael Moore; enjoy freedom of choice while it lasts.

  • Well I'm sure your one opinion is accurately representative of all Canadians.

Regardless, your opinion of single payer systems is inconsequential to me seeing as how we don't have a single-payer system and most likely will not, ever.

Don't get me wrong -- I wouldn't advocate the U.S. modeling ANYTHING after the Canadians, besides maybe the recipe for maple syrup.

  • Are you sure your Canadian?

  • when did canada ever have a military?

  • Get the government out of the private Ins. and maybe the cost will go down. So far gov. run has only been a failure, they couldn't even run the 'cash for clunkers' how in the world are they going to run health care. Ask those people that are over 50 about the single payer system in Europe or Cananda...better yet you go live in those places with single payer and then tell me how you like it. I wasn't happy with it. We don't need socialism here in the US. Vote or impeach Obama & administration out

  • I have asked Europeans and Canadians about the single payer system and they like it just fine.

So I will not vote or impeach Obama and the administration out, even though I have the power to do exactly that, with my magic wand.

    Socialism FTW! Woohoo!

  • You know I made sence, that is why you deleated my comment. Yor comment here is probably a lie...dude...Have you talked to people in Canad and Europe over 50yrs.old that have a major medical condition? You may just find out they don't like NHC. Maybe you should go live where they have NHC when your over 50, you would not have the same liberal attitude.

  • Reagan said: "One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. Its very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. Most people are a little reluctant to oppose anything that suggests medical care for people who possibly cant afford it. Ronald Reagan spoke those words in 1961, before he ever ran for office.

  • ObamaCare will leave even greater numbers with out coverage

ObamaCare is a government program, its gonna have rules

Whats ObamaCare gonna do to fat ppl/ cigerette or pot smokes ???

    DISQUALIFY THEM IS WHAT !

Obamas whole strategy for reducing costs is to disqualify ppl

  • i agree with you but leave mj out of it.... jk

  • All scare tactics with no basis in reality. This type of healthcare reform has never been attempted on this level. To say you can predict the outcomes is nothing but sheer arrogance.

And about disqualifications -- So? Why should the government take care of you if you're going to be fat, lazy and unhealthy?

Don't you people believe in personal responsibility anymore?

  • Obama talks out the side of his mouth...he is for a single payer system and getting rid of the private ins. except the government won't have the same health care as we will havewhen he does get the single payer system. Those of in in favor of Obama health care, if your over 50, go live where there is a single payer system for a coulpe of yrs. then tell us how you like it then. Our health ins. needs improvement not discarded! I don't see how ppl voted for him, 4 change!?!?!? what kind of change?

  • The government currently controls Tricare/Medicare/Medicaid, NO One on those plans is happy with their "CARE"! I am a health care professional, there are longs wits, often no specialists on the plans and their care IS mandated! Are you on one of these plans? Talk to people who are. There does need to be REGULATION of privatized insurance, but NOT governernment run! Medicare is going BANCRUPT! Oh, what about the postal system! PLEASE

  • Are you KIDDING? There are HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of people that currently have the government-run healthcare programs that you mention and THEY ARE DOING JUST FINE.

To say "No one on those plans is happy with their care" is simply a retarded statement.

The irony is many of these same people who are doing just fine with their plan are railing against goverment-run healthcare but can't even stop to realize that the government ALREADY gives them healthcare!

  • REALLY? I have yet to meet one who is happy! Are you on a government run healthcare program? Funny, I talk to people EVERY day who are? Their care is predetermined, rationed, etc. It is a NO care system. I personally am tired of paying for it out of my tax dollars... paying for it into a corrupt, bankrupt system! Look at what all WORKING people pay in social security, look back in history why was SS started? It is ALSO going bankrupt!!! EDUCATE yourself!!!!

  • YOU go educate yourself. USA is the only western nation without a public healthcare, you are on par with east-European states as it is now for god's sake.

  • Our goal is not to be on par with western europe. The system of freedom we once had leaves western europe in the dust. A free market system gives the people the best care, to the most people, at the cheapest price. If you disagree, then you disagree with history, not me.

  • Comment removed

  • You are listed as nr. 6 in freedom of trade yet nr 15 in UN's HDI index and nr 18 in UN's democracy index. What does those statistics tell you?

  • They tell me that government intervention has destroyed healthcare by design.

Why can't people admit the truth? Freedom works better than anything else, even though it is counter intuitive to some.
