Even though I'm a horror fan, I was hesitant about watching this film. I don't know why. I guess, at THAT time a horror film about a "pregnancy gone wrong" just WASN'T my "cup of tea." HOWEVER, after watching it, I (actually) enjoyed this film-as well as It's Alive 2: It Lives Again! Here's a little "dark humor," expectant mothers should watch It's Alive WITH CAUTION!

It's a baby.

Not that hard to figure out, people. They say right in the trailer that it's a goddamn baby. In the suggestions there's a thumbnail of a baby carriage on a title card. The poster for the film is the same carriage.

There's even a Halloween puppet prop of the damn thing (made by "Bump in the Night" productions) that's been around for almost two decades.

I remember hearing about this movie in elementary school (in the mid seventies). I watched it last night (June 27 2010) for the first time in my life and it was horrible. The acting was horrible. And it wasn't bad because of lack of special effects.. it was just bad. The characters behaved not like human beings.

I did enjoy the music! Bernard Herrmann! What fun! Too bad the acting sucked.
