  • We knew Aziz Mian, God Bless him personally. Out of the top quals, he was most highly educated including a degree in philosophy. Most of his work, he wrote his own lyrics and composed the music. Much of his poetry is not within the grasp of lesser educated people. In his work not only Aziz sings the praise of God but questions and challenges uncertainty and contradictions. The meaning of life for God and human. He expands on works of the great Ghalib Mirza and Alama Iqbal.

  • 'khat mein jawaab ayaaa, dil lagaane ko kis ne kha tha, bhel jaye ga dill bhelte bhelte' oooohhh shyyyyyt watta line....and also what a bitch, guy puts his heart out she stopms all over it. tut tut

  • i am from Punjab and whenever i hear aziz mian , give me music high.

    he is like astvakra ,

  • This makes me think a bit of Spanish Music (flamenco). Could it be that the musical tradition left behind by the Moorish after the reconquista was qawwali?

  • @kerstmanneke82 Well dey are somewhere close but ... nopes it wasnt left by Moorish it ws already was existant it grew more under Mughal Era in india wid Core language as Farsi (persian). the concept of such setup too was bought by turks! and the poems from persia.

  • dude he is the man yo

  • Ustad Qamar Jalalwi

  • Bohat Khooob

  • i m indian and i like very much the paki qawalli...

  • Translation (cont..)

I made up my mind to quit her desire, but her simle strangled me yet again.........just when i thought i got control of myself, i again lost it while putting myself togther

  • Translation (cont....)

I wrote her that i my heart is anxious for u,

the rply came "then u shouldnt have loved.....who advised u to be in love?, as the pain n heart break is part n parcel of love ..now just hope it gets better with time

  • It might be of interest to note that, this poetry is by ustad qamar jalalvi who wrote it on his death bed.

    Translation-1 (What I got ..)

The lovesick kept on repeating the story of his beloved even on his death bed..

but when he came up to point of discussing the tale of THAT sad night, the candle that was burning all through the night suddenly died down

  • Yeh I think that would be nice if somebody could translate or even explain some brief philosophy, and I think that would apply to most of his songs. I have english friends and they really like QAWWALS but I have been unable to find them something with some translation and explanation. TThnxs for uploading...

  • I really luv this track, nd I hope somebody could maybe explain the philosophy or the commentaries of his qawwals or even translate, that would be GREAT. I can understand parts of it...

    Thanxs for uploading

Aziz Mian obtained M.S. degrees in Arabic, Persian, Persian literature, Urdu literature, and History from the University of Punjab, Lahore.

5 degrees, when you get that please come back and reply!

  • This is our very dear Aziz uncle. Allah bless those who like him. He has been distributing maeqalandri, and has been appreciated by OliaAllah. MashaAlla and his sons are following his sacred path ass well.

  • there is always difference in style of singing - Qawwali's beat and Rhythm is very different from Ghazal - Munni Begum sang Ghazals. And I praise her for those lovely ghazals

  • They're really talented. I've listened aziz the whole day.

  • kamal hay bhai kamal..

  • king qawwal

  • Brilliant Qawwali. Slightly short, the cassette version I have is half an hour.

  • upload it bro. Aziz Mian's genius should be denied to nobody.

  • aziz in my opinion.

  • aziz. any day

  • huz betta aziz or nusrat

  • I think they are equally talented. Nusrat seems to have a more classical approach than Aziz Mian but Mian's quawalli is extremely catchy.

If you think something is going to cause controversy then dont post it, If you think that music is Haram then what on earth are you doing at this page?

I urge you guys to leave those kind of things at the forums, but over here please post on the video.

I hope i didn' offend any one

    thank you

  • 'True Pakistani Talent': Aziz Mian obtained M.S. degrees in *Arabic, *Persian, *Urdu literature & *History...

*Aziz Mian's first break-in performance was in 1966, when he performed before the Shah of Iran, Reza Pahlavi. He won 1st prize in Iran and a gold medal from the King of Persia...

  • Aziz Mian died from complications of hepatitis in Tehran, Iran on December 6, 2000. He was in Iran at the invitation of the Iranian government, to perform on the occasion of Imam Ali's (cousin of Muhammad) death anniversary...

May Allah (Swt) rest him peace- AMEEN

  • As for as this Poetry and the messege which was conveyed by Aziz Mia is outstanding..

For can2 and agrana plz follow your own religions, and don't abuse each others.Bcos abusing is forbidden in both religion(Christianity and Islam).

  • Come on brothers. it is the mahfil of love. Try to understand the words of Aziz Mian with heart. I am from Bangladesh. How can a person praise Allah and Rasool (SM) better than this? The person who is in real love, can even do quarrel with Allah, do you agree?

  • This man claim to be lover of Muhammad(PBUH). and look at his face with out beard and his actions , playing music, clearly aginst the teaching of his beloved Muhammad(PBUH).

  • And u are the epitomy of islam and sunnah ???... if you knew anythhing about your religion you would know it is not permitted for us to judge others... Your just ignorant

  • At least I know that such things which this man is performing; we have learnt from hindu.

  • actually what the man is performing is learnt form khwaja gharib nawaz moinuddin chishty who is an aulia Allah and also from Hazrat Amir Khusro.. Khwaja sahib used music to spread islam throughout the indian continent !!... maybe u shud learn a thing or two before u start "preaching" !!

  • Oh sorry, I didnt knew about these two new prophets. I know only about last Prophet Hadrat Muhammad(PBUH), Who never adopted such things nor his companions instead he forabde such things in Islam. May be I am a "Jahal" man who doesnt know that later on In new Shariah given to these prophets Allah told such things as Sawab.

  • sorry mate.. u shud have told me u are a wahabi.. i wudn't have wasted my time on you

  • If accepting Hadrat Muhammad(PBU) as the last Prophet is Wahabiism , then I am proud of to be wahabi.

  • rejecting the aulia allah is wahabi ism and that what you are doing...

  • Wats your point exactly, you have to grow a beard to practise Islam????plz answer

  • I have to say only ; A man keeping beard doesnt mean he is good, but every good man should have beard. Second thing is that we know clearly through Quran and sunnah that the person who is beloved to Allah is who follows Sharia and not such self invented things

  • aliraza2, stop pretending to be a muslim. a real muslim wl notuse this kind of langwage.

  • Not th place bitchyes to knok another's school.u didnt grasp my txt.If u want to do purda,u do it,DONT press ur values on others. Fury over burqa was cozd by peple like u. Not writen in koran.check it wid scolar.Prophet was a servant and later employed by his 1st wife.women can be leaders.Habits\cultural odes hav crept into Islaam.Jesus drank, you drink.Abu Bakr's tribe married 8 year old girls, wud you.giv ur email if wanna chat. This is about music. Great qawwali.just magic.love it

  • I agree with can2k7, hey 'bitchyes' you go ahead and cover your women, but please don't tell us to cover our women.

  • bitchyes, plz wake up and smell some british "chai". this is 21st century and you are still talking about parda!

  • and cuz it is the 21st century does that mean we should forget our religion and become goraay????

  • naazepak - what u on about why does me saying that there is a requirement of parda give islam a bad name - if they are not gonna do parda between men and women then that is what gives islam a bad name!

  • heavenly voice! bitchyes, plz lighten up. This kind of comment about parda is what gives islaam a bad name.

  • best

  • very good, but they needed some parda between the men and women! May Aziz Mian rest in peace, may allah give him janat!

  • Aziz Mian is a legend. Many many thanks to Ikhan24 for sharing all these monumental works of Qawwali. Aziz Mian was a master of this art and in a class of his own. A very learned Qawwal too. I call him the Professor of Qawwali, Phenomenal on stage and a true gentleman off stage.

  • Booom

  • Wow! Amazing! Is any of his work available in DVD format?
