-Natural minor

-Harmonic minor

-Melodic minor

while major scales have only one variant "as is"

starting on the first fret for all strings.

low e string:it goes 1st fret then to 4th fret.

A string: it goes 1st fret then to 3rd fret

D string:1st fret to 3rd fret

g string:1st fret to 3rd fret

b string:it goes 1st fret then to 4th fret

high e string:1st fret then to 4th fret.

He is doing all that really fast, basically up and down the neck. and that would be the minor pentatonic scale.

why does everyone say he plays to fast? if you have played guitar for a while, that is easy to see.. nice video:) but if he goes to fast, you can always watch another video with the start line of petatonic scales and than you see how it work, and then it all goes like an toy:P i aint good writhing english, but i can read and hear it good:) and im just tired of people always use that as an insult because they havent better to say then that, i just gave an opinion that can help

i dont get vids like this that say how to solo blah blah blah, they should be called, tools to solo with. how to solo would be an overview of these scales, and showing a few basic licks and how to incorporate them, to me this is just a wast of time to any begginer that really wants to get into lead guitar. but hey thats my opinion.

befor learning petatonic you should learn to play triplet:P if you play metal so is that one of the basic of metal, but yeah he plays to fast for the eye:P

he said hes tryin to learn other styles of music....this will give you a great bluse background even if ur just usin penatonic....theres so many different ways to use it and you can include it in almost any music...it still is vital for him to know
