  • Quite good quality...

A bit of sensor inertia or something similar, I really don't know how to call it.

On fast panning or fast action, in general, there's a little... "elastic surroundings" effect?

For a tiny cam like that I would expect far less, so I'm not arguing about that.

But I'm curious how that inertial/rubbery effect is called. ;))

I saw, to it's most most obvious, in cheap phones cameras.

  • @yo6ial I believe it's called smearing.

  • @sunsetwestpi Thanks!

  • @yo6ial The newest version of this the 808 #11 shoots 720p at 30fps with good audio quality too. Highly recommended for $40.

  • If you go to the Curbside Investigator Podcast website you can search for the podcast on the 808 spycam. All the info on date and time is in that post.

  • Yes, they don't like bright light. Wait till you see the actual raw video that hasn't been compressed by YouTube.

  • Video quality is really good when the sky isn't causing the darker area's to under expose.

  • well, Back light compensation is not something implemented in that kind of cheap hardware,
