lookin at 0:27 where these motorad (motocross) riders have their leg out to steady them on the bend. I understand thats a big benefit on a dirt track round a real tight burm but on the street is that gonna help much going that speed on the road.  By the time you have a small slip and stamp your foot down your leg will surely just be whipped out from under you. Suppose its just a well honed technique / habit from Motorad riders. Dont think Ill be trying it though !!

It's actually better to go through corners like that. By lowering the centre of gravity the bike can stay more upright and have a larger contact patch.

He is riding with his inside shoulder crooked and is actually facing away from the turn...thats a major lowside just waiting to happen..it must feel awkward riding that..pull that shoulder back and get your head and upper body out over the centerline and look through the turn.

ok i have a question for you guys.... I'm learning to ride still, don't drag knee yet, but I've been reading and watching many vids about body positioning. And in these videos I see a lot of people like the guy on 0:55. He looks completely off the saddle, but his body line is no way following the bike line. Is he doing the right thing and I'm the n00b?

@dabronzo no his body position is crossed up - it isn't about the "body line" its more of balancing of the bike with proper body position - do a track day and u will learn everything about proper body position

@TheTyler0953 i believe it to be the ducati 1198 model produced in 2011, but there is also a ducati 1098 which looks virtually the same just lower cc. In this vid i think it says 1198 on the side. Apparently in production since 2009, i know there is also an R and SP version which are like special editions. If you search the 1198 and 1098 models you should get some info :)
