Did Scott Zito end up in Foghat for a bit? I'm pretty sure I saw Foghat one of their trips to New Haven & I know a local Milford, Ct guy was in the band & I think it was Zito but that 35 yrs ago so my memory is fuzzy
No it was Craig Mcgregor Bass player from New Haven or Milford. I think he lived around New Haven?
Scott, played for Jonie Mitchell, and Grace Slick after Jasper Wrath and Swan. Miss him on you tube, I know that. He is in one of Grace Slicks Videos playing Guitar in the Fog on Mistreater wearing a Blue Shirt.
Craig Mcgregor on Bass is the one who played for Fog Hat. Scott played Guitar for Jasper Wrath, Jonie Mitchell, Janis Ian, and Grace Slick.. I have been out of touch since 78 so I'm not sure what happened to Scott? Only rumors man.. I see Phil is Trump bound, and Jeff Batter has a band Phonics or ? James in still with the House Of Lords, Jeff C is still doing Records and producing, but where the heck is Scott Man. No Only A video with Grace. Scott had more Fans than the orient.
I LOVED this song when it came out - I could never understand why it did not become a BIG HIT! I did end up playing the single on my college radio station (WCWP) on Long Island. I know WDRC pushed the heck out of it...
Yes, They do. Scott, Zito wasn't in this. This was just before he was in the band.
Jasper Wrath was on MGM Records back in the day. Home Town boys Scott, and James. Interesting story about Geoff Cannata going back stage to meet with Emerson Lake And Palmer to ask Keith about the Synth, and brought one here to the states for Wrath to use.. James always wore that hat and played a SG when Scott, was in the band.. This band was just about ot go National. Too Bad. Connecticuts best. Melodic Art Rock
@7211098 i'm sorry but it was in London and it was yes he saw and asked Emerson about the Mellotron he was using and that was what he sent back to New Haven believe he found one for like 6 or 7 hundred pounds.
that was home for me and yes i did have ear plugs on at the sound board for Eyes .
got to love the days back home Jasper and Eyes Damnation Ally, and the shows at the old New Haven Arena (whoops showing my age) but got to love the poster of this one great job .
Ok Emerson, and did Jeff Batter use that synth? Hey man, what ever happened to Scott Zito. Some one told me in Milford he was a Doctor now. Does he still play or write?
Jasper Wrath/James Montgomery Blues Band- my first "real" concert. Skintight leggings, a flute, the plummed hat, and when I heard those synthesizers....
BLOWN A-WAY!!! Unfortunately my memories are like this video, worn but worthy...Thanks for the memories
My brother was a roadie EAGER EDGAR TOMMY was his name and took me to many Jasper/Eyes shows. Thx so much for posting this. Those shows ruled and Eyes should have won the Peoples choice in WATERBURY CT!!!!! Not Fountainhead. Hey, I still have my backstage pass for that show. My brother is going to flip when I tell him.
Awesome,Phil I am a local singer who once studied with Michael Bolotin but always considered James Christian to be one of the best singers around. Thanks so much for this. Patty in Seymour CT
Great to see this here. Thanks so much for posting it, Phil. Do you by any chance have clips of earlier versions (either the original lineup (you, Mike, Jeff & Bobby) or the trio lineup after Bobby left (I still vividly remember some of those arrangements)? Those first 2 incarnations are what I grew up on and I would love to hear/see them again!
I have pictues of Jasper Wrath in my high school yearbook! I graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1977. You were in a concert with "Cruise" waming up for you. And you did an encore and performed "You". I still love this song.
Phil - Thanks for posting this video! It's great to see Wrath with both keyboards. I remember the great outdoor show at The Pinecrest when you released "You" as a single. I also remember the original lineup with DiCicci, Stoltie, Zito, Cannata and Batter
I saw them open and close for Leslie West and they blew him away. what a great band

I saw them bookend Leslie West at the Fore an' Aft in Westport. They blew him away. Saw them several times after that. What a blast from the past.

I KNEW the bass would be a Rickenbacker! After 1 listen, I could just hear it.
Very cool!
Great song! I wish we still had analog synths.
