  • to be honest, i think this video was brilliant, and i talk like a kirby fan

Now this can go for the tv

I must confess i'm a Brony (i think every celebrity on the internet knows the word) and i love comedy, so i watch My Little pony, adventure time, Phineas and ferb and all this new cartoons, but all the people say that shows sucks just beause are cartoons an not dark shows with blood and sex like the walking dead or 2 1/2 men.

Just don't judge a book by his cover, great message

  • I'd watch a Bob gets to the fucking point show XD

  • Where the heck is ep 2

  • And I was just having a conversation with someone about Kirby being evil XD

  • I love playing Melee with my friends, nice confession, I'm glad you gave the little pink puff-ball a try~

  • 7:06 You can tell this is from 2008, in 2011 Halo would be replaced by CoD

  • Funny how the pitch of his voice keeps increasing.

  • i DONT CARE WHAT HE SAYS GTA is my shit

I always liked kirby when I was younger because he can take other peoples powers, just like mega man. Mega man has to beat the main boss to get the new power, while kirby just eats whom ever and the main boss for the new power

  • Can someone tell me in 25 words or less why V2 was blocked to people under 18?

  • @Jailbird408 Less than 25 letters. Bad words.

  • @Jailbird408 Offensive due to the fact the videos subject was weather games are sexist or not.

  • I love Kirby as a character (if my name didn't give it up already), and I remember going through a phase of being afraid of what people said. Even now I still hesitate over stuff people might see as "uncool," but in the end, it doesn't matter. Other people shouldn't control over what you may see as fun/entertaining.

  • Earthbound is fucking awesome. And I'm not even an RPG-fan.

  • I also missed out on Kirby back in the day. And now it's one of my favorite franchises. Same goes for Mega Man.

  • you talk alot about fps's having no innovation.I agree but nintendo's newer games are just the same old games but with a small twist to it.so fps's lack innovation but so does nintendo

  • Oh good, more bitching about halo -_-

  • Also google Perfect Kirby for hilarious Kirby / Perfect Dark parody.

  • Kirby Superstar was the best one :P

  • As The Nostalgia Chick once said, he's PAAAAAAAANK!

  • I bought Crystal Shards for 64 just before seeing this.

Now this is self-satisfaction at it's best.

  • kerby cannon made me lol

  • what's bob got against zelda II?

  • I once bought Resident Evil 4, Madden 2002 and Harvest Moon: Magical Melody IN THE SAME DAY. How random is that?

  • this is something every PC or console only(as in you only play 1 platform) gamer should see.

excluding ANY game simply because of it's platform means you aren't a true gamer, yeah you can be a PC gamer or a console gamer or a ps3 or 360 gamer , but you'll never be a TRUE GAMER.

  • Half this video made me mad to think about people who hate MLP just because it looks gay and girly.

  • Gotta say, Saints Row 2 is all kinds of awesome, in fact, In the way that GTA 4 is REALISTIC, gritty, and brown. Saints 2 is Absurd, funny, and colorful.

underneath the ghetto surface, its one of the most highly customizable, fun games i've ever played. You can make your gang Ninjas, 80s punks, secret service. You can customize literally ANY vehicle you find on the street, sword fights on boats, parachuting through exploding buildings, and a smarmy british gang leader. Need i go on?

  • @perun1nj Tell me about one part where you parachute through an exploding building. And if you didn't like GTA 4s realism try The Ballad of Gay Tony. Much more colourful, reminds me of san andreas missions, takes itself a lot less seriously and you can't tell me that the GTA 4 online is one of the best multiplayer experiences out there, when SR2's is nothing special.

  • @Craig12390 in one of the missions you blow up a Ronin HQ and in the end you dive off a balcony in the building and it explodes as you fall. I'm not trying to say GTA 4 is worse than SR2, but i'm trying to say SR2 is a VERY underrated game, people dismiss it as a GTA clone, but really its a highly customizable extremely fun action game. The cutscenes are EPIC as hell, i love hand to hand combat, the characters are funny, it plays out as a very gory, disturbing but all around funny action movie.

  • @perun1nj I don't remember that mission, will have to play through it again. ^^ And yeah, a lot of people do pass it off as a clone when it really isn't, Saints Row 3 looking even more different. Just saying, GTA 4 and SR as very different experiences and you shouldn't go into them expecting certain things each.

  • Two words my friend. Canvas Curse.

  • You meen God of War is the 2nd most overrated video game franchise.

  • Here are all the games I will probably never play, for reasons other than 'because I don't own console X':

-Anything with 'Xeno' in the title.

-The Valkyria games, but especially Chronicles.

-Simulations, particularly of business, which leads me to:

    -Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale.

    -Minecraft.

    -Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.

-Anything to do with Phoenix Wright.

-Every WRPG except Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Kotor.

That's a lot of games, most of which are actually available to me. ...Huh.

  • arent the people who play mario games all the time also just playing with a toy and should also get the fuck over shitting all over fps'?

  • I'm happy to say I grew up with Kirby though I didn't play all of his games I had his handhelds and I replayed the mess out of those games. Also when it comes down to it Kirby Air Ride trumps Mario Kart Double Dash any day of the week. I had both and loved both but Air Ride is just better.

  • Ya, i loved Zelda 2

  • What's wrong with Zelda II?

  • But I love Pokemon...

  • I felt like that when I saw my little pony friendship is magic... Its just good. Better than most.

  • This is how I am with everything, I view every genre of music, games, movies, anime, TV series and books and I've seen a lot of each so I can judge at least for myself (I'm especially good for anime...). As for other people, not most but all of the people I know say they don't like something before they've seen or heard about it or just know one thing about it.

  • Super Smash Bros. Melee introduced me to the little guy as well!

  • 8:34

    Canvas Curse.

    'Nuff said.

  • When you said "Have you ever went through Earthbound?" I had a tiny orgasm.

  • I want to be a Kirby Zoroastrian...

  • Hey now! Zelda 2 is an excellent game! It doesn't stand next to the other games in the series, and it's a complete non sequitur in terms of gameplay, but goddam, don't you be shitting on that installment. It's good.

  • What's this? The Game Overthinker is actually displaying HUMILITY? He's actually being the OPPOSITE of egotistical, elitist, and self-centered? He actually ADMITS he has faults? As M. Knight Shyamalan says, WHAT A TWIST!

  • i like seeing someone in the reviewing world supporting nintendo *now this is because i'm a hardcore nintendo fan* but i have to agree that you should never discard a game because of how it seems from first glance, because in the end, it's about fun.

  • @garrysmodmoviemaker1 I've always disliked FPSs but that didn't stop me from trying them out before vehemently hating it.

  • @garrysmodmoviemaker1 what parallel universe are you living in? As someone who dislikes FPSs I feel obligated to tell you it is, not at all a popular opinion.

  • I'm going to have to disagree about Halo. Apparently it's "cool" now to dislike popular FPA games just because they're popular FPS games (Modern Warfare being another example). I've played the Halo games, I'm not a huge fan, but they are fun. They're well designed, the weapons are balanced, they have tons of fun to play with vehicles, and a great multiplayer mode. The only thing wrong is the fanbase, and they can't exactly control that can they?

  • I feel very previliged by the fact that this didnt happen to me for too long.

Back when I was rollin with the PS1, I had Klonoa and Tomb Raider 2.

Guess which one I played most... ;D

  • same thing happened to me :(

  • Oh, and of course, below doesn't just apply to gamers either.

  • Sadly most of what was addressed in this video (homophobic/insecure gamers) infects 80% of the US from what I've seen..I know I'm probably way off, but at least in my area I can see that it's hopeless :/

  • HE'S AN EAGLE (sorry, couldn't resist referencing a youtube video), also, to be fair, it's a really big, really heavy, and really cool looking hammer.

  • Made me get out my old Kirby's dreamland on Gameboy. Love that game!

  • I got Kirby 64 while a teenager and collected every crystal shard in the first week. Kirby rules but sometimes I wish he'd have a hard mode.

  • "Think beyond the borders of Vice City"

Ok once i can board a plane and go somewhere else in GTA ok?

  • @chosentonessournotes Hey I know Doom was first but give Quake a little credit too

  • 3:27 What game is that from??

  • I hate pink yet Kirby is my favorite Nintendo Character XD

  • Say, what was the Kirby game where Kirby had those angle wings?

  • I've always loved the Kirby games but I wasn't a big fan of Kirby 64.

  • God i love you bob and you too kirby <3

  • God I love you Bob.

  • 02:24

so we sell some iron to the wrong people then dont back up our neighbours cuz it would upset our tradepartners but by the same coin dont help them, you all die and we lose almost nothing and come out pretty much the only people who "won" the war... and ya'll are still mad at us :/

    then again we are neutral...

    so i guess its fair...

  • Youre an idiot for not noticing how good of a game Halo is. You honestly must hate every shooter game on the planet to think Halo sucks. I only owned Nintendo systems all my life, and I still do but now I own an xbox and a 360 just to play Halo.

  • @Sneakz77 You're the idiot. First, everyone is entitled the their own opinion, and the only idiocy it to criticize someone because of it. (which is why I'm calling you an idiot) I personally cannot stand Halo games, they bore me. However, I acknowledge the fact that Halo was one of the major reasons online multiplayer became such a big thing. I love most shooters, just not Halo. I would like to mention that local multiplayer with Halo IS a lot of fun, but I'm not a fan of playing it online.

  • sounds like Flower from the PSN

  • Comment removed

  • Date Rape Kirby, thats gonna haunt my nightmares, I don't want to be in his hole....

  • @Tenkagethewise But he wants to be in yours...

  • Pokemon is definitely worth checking out. Trust anyone who stuck with them after having grown up with them in the late nineties. When you think about it, the premise is that you compete in a worldwide tournament where you fight with your team of enslaved mutated animals and compete for cash prizes and ultimate goal of becoming the best in the world and capturing every last one of said mutants. AND ITS MARKETED TO CHILDREN! Hands-down the best thing to ever exist.

  • Anyone can look manly playing Halo, but it takes a real man to play Kirby, one who isn't so insecure about his masculinity.

So somewhat on subject, help me out here YT community: I want to get a recent game, and I can't decide between Kirby's Epic Yarn and Sonic Colors. Which one should I get?

  • He's right. I can't think of many Kirby games that I didn't find some enjoyment out of. Super Star still remains probably my favorite game of all time.

No I'm not being biased. That's how I chose my, admittedly, oddly-spelt screen name. And I can't really see it changing anytime soon. I just hope Nintendo places a bit more focus on Kirby console games in the future and not just handhelds or spinoffs.

  • Oh my God, I love you for calling out the Halo franchise for being the most overrated game series ever. It truly is. It's a fucking FPS. DOOM did it better like, 20 years previous.

  • @chosentonessournotes oh god, people realise that DOOM only cam out a few years before halo right? DOOM came out originally in 1993, Halo came out in 2001 with the release of the Xbox. Seriously, not even 10 years before it. When you think of the original Halo as almost 10 years old now, you can see that it actually WAS a revolutionary game. Too bad they just kept re-releasing it for almost a decade....

  • @chosentonessournotes

Yes, but what makes it more sad is that Marathon beats Doom. So Bungie makes another game that becomes beaten by a game that they had already beat with a previous game they made.

  • @chosentonessournotes

OK, I dislike Halo as much as any other self-respecting gamer who can recognise mediocrity but can people stop with the "Doom did it better" bullshit. Doom is a retro sprite based corridor shooter which, while revolutionary for it's day is not even close to the game that Halo is. Doom 3, sure, but Doom, NO! Take off the rose tinted glasses and stop pretending the first game to do something is the best. Doom is not the holy fucking grail, it's OVERRATED! Ironic, isn't it.

  • @TornadoCreator Dude, I don't give a fuck about graphics. I don't care about revolutionary gameplay and all this shit... I'm saying that I actually have fun playing Doom, I DON'T have fun playing Halo. It's boring and overrated.

  • @chosentonessournotes

I'm sure you did have fun with Doom, I did as well... but have you played it recently? Go on try, it has not aged well. Without the incredible force that is nostalgia goggles, the original Doom is nigh unplayable if you're used to any of the gaming conventions that have been developed for the FPS genre in the last 20 years. Sure, I don't much like Halo but if I had to choose one of them to play, I'd pick Halo because Doom, by todays standards IS SHIT! But then so is Pong.

  • @TornadoCreator Dude, you can sit there and think whatever you like. Graphics don't matter to me. That's why I own an NES and a SNES, but don't own any of the current generation consoles (aside from the Wii for WiiWare and Virtual Console) because most (if not all) newer games bore me to tears. I'll stick with Little Samson, the first four Castlevania titles, Metroid and Super Metroid, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, etc. Because let's face it, I fucking hate FPS games. That's all I'm saying.

  • @TornadoCreator I just feel there are so many other games that deserve the drool and awe of this current generations gamers, not the next Modern Warfare 2 clone. FPS shooters are boring. Modern Warfare is boring. Bulletstorm is boring. Grey First Person Shooter bores me to death. The same can be said for 75% of the games that flood the current market. When it comes down to it, video games are toys. I play them to have fun. Pretending to be a WW2 sniper isn't fun. And I happen to like Pong, dude.

  • @chosentonessournotes

To be honest, if I want to play an FPS I wouldn't pick a Call Of Duty or Halo game either, I'd play Bioshock, Metroid Prime, STALKER, Fallout 3, Resistance 2 or Singularity.... but one game I wouldn't play however is Doom. My point want's ment just as a reason to argue but just that I get so tired of seeing retro worship that I feel the need to speak up. Doom 3 is better than Doom, Mario Galaxy is better 64 and Zelda:TP is better than OcarinaOT. Nostalgia, it pisses me off

  • @TornadoCreator And my point is that some people really DO believe that the older games ARE better. I think that Mario 64 was better, I think that A Link To The Past was better, I think Super Metroid is one of the best ever, etc. It's all about what you personally believe is better, not what looks better or what plays better. Games back in the day had heart and soul, nowadays it's just about who can draw the prettier picture and cram more features into the game.

  • @chosentonessournotes

Typical retro-gamer response. There was no heart or soul. This was made up by the gamers. The games where made largely by toy companies to make money, nothing more. Today, games are made by people who care about the medium but conversely there's much more cash-in bullshit made as well. I agree some classics are classics for a reason but out of the literally thousands of games made, I doubt you could name more than 1 or 2 franchises where the original game was the best.

  • @TornadoCreator Where in my response did I say the originals were the best? A Link To The Past was the second (or third, can't remember which), Super Metroid was the third, Mario 64 was like, the 64th... Get over yourself homey. Everyone has differing opinions, I just happen to like the old school a little more. I don't care for newer games because they bore me. I can play through LTTP about 10 times or so, but I couldn't even finish TP once. Get over it dude. Retarded argument.

  • @chosentonessournotes

Nice comeback, call my argument retarded (although the same argument on Escapist's Extra Credits or Destructoid's Jimquisition get's endless praise from most gamers) and then dismiss everything I say. Well done, I thought we where having an interesting discussion but no, you're just butthurt because I dare to disagree with you. I consider this debate over, clearly you would rather whine than discuss. If you have a reasonable point to add please do, but I'm not expecting...

  • @TornadoCreator Dude, you're missing the point entirely. You can sit there and take potshots all you want, but the fact of the matter is that I, like tons of other people, just happen to enjoy older games more than newer ones. It may be the veil of nostalgia, but the fact remains that I can't even sit through a single playthrough of newer generation games. I haven't dismissed a thing you said, I just don't agree with your statements. Just because games have revolutionized doesn't mean I like it.

  • @TornadoCreator Furthermore, when you take on a trollesque style argument, it makes you look like a ranting dick. I don't care about realistic graphics. I don't care about seamless controls, or massively multiplayer online integration. I don't care about up to date rosters or how close to the real thing the weapons in games are. Again, I play games to have fun. It's not a competitive sport for me, I do it to have fun. I don't have fun with war simulations and fighting games.

  • @TornadoCreator Fuck, I even hate some classic games. Like Street Fighter II. Just can't get into it. I also can't stand games like Gradius and Life Force. It's all about personal preference dude. You like newer games? Awesome. Go play your newer games. I don't like it because I can't stand things that are "realistic" because I play video games to take me out of reality. I hate multiplayer because there's nothing quite like punching your opponent in the arm for using cheap tactics or cheating.

  • @TornadoCreator And honestly, it's ridiculous arguments like this that further solidify why I can't stand much of this generation's games and their over-zealous fanbases. You see through a single spectrum. You simply refuse to see things any other way than your own. You feel that just because a game is a technological marvel with true to life graphics and immersive gameplay that it deserves to be respected. I respect these games, yes. But I don't enjoy them. The CORE of any good game. Enjoyment.

  • @chosentonessournotes

You appear to be arguing with yourself at the moment, 5 responses you've given me after I said I considered the debate over, one of which was you trying to claim clogging up the comments section here was a bad thing (oh the irony). The annoying thing is, you've not actually mentioned my point, instead you're arguing with some imaginary teenage current-gen gamer who only cares about graphics rather than me, a 25 year old who's favourite games are JRPG's and Platformers...

  • @TornadoCreator Whatever, Mr. Troll. Take care of your long, boring life.

  • @TornadoCreator Also, I'm sick of cluttering this video up. I don't want to scare people off because the Overthinker has a lot of great points and I enjoy his stuff. If you STILL want to argue a point a view that I obviously don't and never WILL agree with, feel free to PM me. I'm done with posting shit on here and clogging this shit with having to defend my OPINION. Jesus.

  • @chosentonessournotes

(continued) Also... projecting much? Not once did I mention graphics, but while we're at it yes, graphics matter and if you say they don't you're lying. Doom is a horror game, and silly looking fisher price plastic demon sprites are not scary any more but it's not just the graphics. It's the Gameplay. Analogue stick movement, independent aiming, regenerative health, retreating AI, expansive level designs, vehicles, storylines, variety in levels... stop lying to yourself.

  • @chosentonessournotes I may just be assuming things here and if so please disregard what I am about to say but...Just because the Halo franchise is overrated (and it is) that does not necessarily mean that the games themselves are bad. Super Mario is overrated as well. Zelda is overrated. Call of Duty is overrated, but there are still good games to be found amongst these franchises. This is, of course, all my opinion.

  • @chosentonessournotes

And Kirby and Mario (and everything Nintendo puts out) are the same fucking bullshit over and over and over. Oh, they added a slightly new game mechanic this time! How does that make it any fucking different from the minor changes each new CoD game brings every 12 months? They're all still basically Call of Duty 4. Just like every Mario game of the last 15 years is Super Mario 64 with minor changes. Zelda, Metroid and Kirby are all at least as bad, if not even worse.

  • @chosentonessournotes

    "It's a fucking FPS."

Yeah, and? FPSs, especially in the last few years, have seen a hell of a lot more innovation than most of the tripe Nintendo puts out on a regular basis. Go play some Red Orchestra 2 and tell me with a straight face the genre hasn't evolved massively since DOOM. And yes, for good or ill, the Halo games have played a huge part in the development of the genre. No, they didn't do everything first, but they sure as hell popularized a lot of changes.

  • @noodlezombie Translation:

WAH WAH WAH YOU DON'T LIKE THE GAMES I LIKE SO I'M GONNA POST A LONG WINDED COMMENT ABOUT HOW WRONG YOU ARE WAH WAH WAHHHHHHHHH"

  • it's odd, nowadays, for me at least, in high school, it seems more awesome to be more retro than the macho gun nuts that a lot of games have currently. I've been noticing that a lot of people are playing Pokemon again, and while current games like Halo Reach are very popular as well, I notice a lot more love for older games rather than newer games, which is great cause the feeling of playing classic games I played as a kid are the best!

  • Let's not forget he EATS RANDOM LIVING THINGS ALIVE, and crushes them into a vacuum and turns them into stars, or takes the top of their head and puts it on.

Kinda fucking dark for a pink ball of happy. XD

  • @KyraWolf But he's so cute doing it! ;)

  • @Sparrow476

    .... i agree. xD

  • Good shit, really like watching these. Been drinking and wrote this long ass contrived post (to only erase and write this)...but this is better. Liked the video. Enjoy hearing your opinions and jokes. Keep it going.

  • To be honest here, this episode just made me think a bit more recent for a slightly different reason. I still refuse to play Fable II just because a biased XBox Magazine called the game a "Zelda killer". I absolutely worship Zelda and I don't particularly like the original. I know this is highly stupid of me,and my "boycott" is totally in vein, but now I may just have to at least try it.

  • If Kirby was the first Nintendo franchise to originate from the Gameboy, then what was the next? Pokemon? Wario Land? Probably Wario Land.

  • I have the shirt too.

  • God damn, I'm playing Odin Sphere again now.

  • If only Mother (or at least, EarthBound) wasn't exclusive in Japan.. :'(

  • @TubedUp909Zombified

Have you heard that Call of Duty 1, 2, and 4 are each revered as being three of the greatest and most innovative first person shooters of the 21st century? Or that each of those three were nearly unanimously named instant classics by the majority of the gaming community almost immediately after their respective releases?

The pendulum of willful ignorance swings both ways.

  • @samen28 That's a funny joke you got there.

  • Hey don't diss Zelda 2.

  • I think my new religion will be Kirby Zoroastrianism.

  • LOVE DATE RAPIST KIRBY

  • God i loved this game. Played it when it first came out, pleaded time and time again with my friends to just try it out, told them it was one of the greatest games on the n64, and they just wouldn't listen, cause perfectdark/goldeneye was out and mouth-breathing douchebag was starting to develop in their dna. Same story for Zone of the enders, ico, street fighter 3:3rd strike (the guy at blockbuster tried saying street fighter was lame), and gunstar heroes. God I hated junior high/high school...

  • Kirby was the first game I bought myself with my own money for gameboy, Why? well it wasn't because I was so young, hell I was 10, well into the yearning of older boy toys. But lucky for me, I grew up with the Mushroom Kingdom and knew no matter what the looks..fun was fun . I still have Kirby and never regret telling others to try it out.

  • well said~

  • Kirby is the coolest character ever. Why has he not his own 3D-platformer/shooter? It designs itself. A-button jumps, B-button use right hand, C-button left (two powers at the same time), Z-button sucks. Give Kirby guns, swords, a bow, a flamethrower, wings and a hook shot. Story; Kirby fights eight colorful nightmares/bosses (and one of them is Freddy Kruger).

  • @Galaith100 Earthworm Jim 3D.

  • % Stars *****

    (I don't enjory YouTube fuck-uppitry.)

  • Zack and Wiki sucks dude, quit trying to promote the titles not for everyone, quit trying to act like it is.

  • @nintendofanboy31 God, I don't get why rabid little fucktards like you spend large amounts of time stalking much better and more intelligent people around the net just to abuse them. You don't like the Game Overthinker? Then fuck off and stop watching his videos, you frigging DICKHEAD! You'll be happier for not having to watch a guy too smart for you to comprehend who makes your tiny head hurt, and we'll all be happier for not having to acknowledge the existence of a whiny little shit like you.

  • @nintendofanboy31 you really are stupid.

the game overthinker is one of the smartest game players I know. he uses alot of examples to show his point, and he is a hardcore gamer that does not think blood and gore is a mandatory thing for a "hardcore" game.

    So yeah.... take that!

O phoenix wright, why did you become a pianist?

  • @TubedUp909Zombified microsoft is a blight on the world

  • First off (and yes, I've only come to your videos thanks to Escape to the movies, that's why you're getting comments) Seven Samurai is the single greatest foreign language film ever made, the best Japanese film ever made and one of the top 10. So let's not go overboard.

Second off, I find your point about trying new things interesting, and while I loathe Resident Evil (except for 4, of course), be nice to FF7. It is, in my opinion, the best game ever made.

    Portal is second.

  • Sooooooooo truth, i'm happy i never went through that "macho" phase, i always chose what i liked even if trends made the others think it was dumb, gay or whatever. I remember that time that a friend (ex-friend thoug not because of what i'm going to tell) started peeking on me because i had no "serious" game for my ps2, hell how's a game supposed to be serious, it's a game they're supposed to be fun.Though i enjoy games with dark toned stories.

  • i went through the "macho" phase when i was 13, but it ended when i was about 14. during that year i used to play pokemon pearl a lot, cos pokemon was still my favourite game series

  • ahhh Kirbys cute

  • i always loved kirby, i never realy cared that he was pink.

  • the video keeps stopping at 8:08 for me WTF!?

  • so bob, why'd your voice sound so much higher back then?

  • o/` Bodhisattva Kirby! Wontcha take me by the hand! o/`

...No Steely Dan fans here, huh?

  • This guy speak the truth

  • I think it's funny how you prounounce Dedede.

  • Thank you so much ~ Love a HUGE Kirby fan

  • as far as the conclusions goes, it sometimes works the opposite way.

For example, I REALLY wanted to like Shin Megami Tensei. Collectible monsters + global (+cthulhu) mythology + first person view + killing god?! It sounded wonderful. And I loved pokemon, so I figured the "rpg" style wouldn't matter as long as it was focused on catching baphomet in a pokeball. But what it boiled down to was just a bad rpg. All I did was press the a button with no direction for a few hours before I gave up.

  • realistically? A giant penguin (and i'll be modest here, let's say it's a full pelagornid that gives birth to live young, but hasn't passed 5 meters in length yet... so advanced but small on the pelagornid scale) is easily as dangerous as a shark or whale that is much larger.

Get a BIG penguin, like 10 or more meters long? Your in mosasaur territory now.

Shit, even the penguins alive now are about as badass as marine dinosaurs ever got.

I haven't even MENTIONED the hammer!

  • Your totally rite and your awsome

  • your conclusion is something Ive been thinking for years... Im a big JRPG fan, Ive played Odin Speher and I like it. I never been a fan of FPS, but I was willing to try borderlands and it was a lotta fun

  • Lesson I learned from this: I should give Halo a rent

  • @TARINunit9

    no just get half life

  • @viking977

Already have The Orange Box. My only problem with Half Life 2 is that I can bumrush every enemy and always find 3 or 4 health packs before I die. Always. (I'm not hating on the game; it's a masterpiece otherwise)

  • wats a jrpg?

  • @fratdogs

Japanese-RPG. You know, like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Golden Sun, Phantasy Star, Terranigma, Chrono Trigger, main line Pokemon and the like.

  • whats a jrpg????

  • japanese role playing game.

Final Fantasy? Kingdom Hearts? ringin' a bell?

  • Really? Kirby 64 was on the nintendo 64! I always thought it was on the xbox (bad sarcastic joke) I know

  • Kirby is one of the best video characters. He has the freedom to be and do anything. You just simply need to create an enemy to fit whatever you want to do with Kirby. He is not limited by realism by other characters that also copy abilities like megaman cause all realism goes out the door when the first boss fight is against a freaking tree.

  • I'll be frank, the "pink" thing kind of drove me away from Kirby as well, but the simple fact that he ate his enemies to gain their powers REALLY resonated with my sense of "manliness." Well, in a Conan the Barbarian sort of way.

Another great episode. Onto episode four...

  • OverThinker you're really a Genius! Great Conclusions, I love them.

  • jrpg's.... persona 4!!!!!!!!!!

  • PERSONA 4 FOR THE WIN :D

  • i only like the pokemon games... the anime is just endless, and yes i love JRPGs

  • damn you are a good speaker^^

  • I love Zelda 2...

  • hey i'm in my late 20's too and i am like you i find most of the games out today to be the same thing cycled all over again i played kirby 64 when it first came out in 2000 and thought it was one of the best games on the system although kirby superstar for the snes is still in my opinion the best of the seris

  • Kirby, though might not look it, is the most badass character ever. He might not be a speedster like Sonic, or a jumping master like Mario, but there is one thing he does that sets him apart: He sucks. Literally, sucks. XD

    Long live the pink puffball!

  • lol "kirby zoroastrianism"

  • The Smashing Pumpkins rule! Grunge lives!

  • Its true its all tru im one of those "hardcore" gamers whyyyy whyyyy god whyyy

  • @amacias2012 Noooooooo!! I'm going to prescribe you Earthworm Jim and Kirby 64.

  • actually im playing Kirby 64 after watching this video xD its awesome

  • I never descriminated a game based upon the coolness people in know play fps and I play littlebigplanet and you know at least they gave LittleBigplanet a chance before calling it gay and they fucking loved it but didn't buy it, but I honestly don't care at least they gave it a chance

  • 7:31

    I have this shirt too.

  • 8:25 Most underrated game ever.

  • Now, if we can only get people to stop skipping out on the Wii...

Also, if you loved Odin Sphere, I hear Muramasa, a Wii exclusive, is that with all the cons addressed (There's apparently some cons but they're all new, none have followed from Odin Sphere to Muramasa), and the pros strengthened.

    I'm gonna get it, personally.

  • brilliant. But I still refuse to ever play earthworm jim...

  • Leerinig Date rapist Kirby

    XD

  • .. It was pokemon Ruby and Sapphire that took this spot for me. I made up for it in high school, though.

  • Great video. I owned Kirby 64 when it first came out. I was either 7 or 8 when it came out, so I guess it appealed to me. I've always been a Nintendo fan though, so even if I were a bit older I probably still would of bought it. I don't let the "kiddy" argument keep me from loving Nintendo over the other consoles, because Nintendo just has the best games, plain and simple. I'm so tired of FPS's getting all the attention when there are more deserving games out there.

  • Kane and Lynch was an incredibly original game. Don't lump it in with Army of Two. It had two of the most interesting characters in recent history. I'm glad that the game sold well and Eidos announced a sequel recently.

  • hmm

I used to hate kirby. its fun,now I like it

seriously though. I dont truly see Halo. but I like quake 3. worth a shot?

Shenmue was my Kirby. thought I wouldn't like it. now i hope everyday for Shenmue III

  • Zelda 2 is not a bad game. It's the first one I ever played and I like it. I will admit that it's hard as hell.

  • for a long time i contiuned i to play my old retro games because my megadrive still work, and im currently on a mission of emulation to play all the good early games. (im not playing arcad games though tbh as emuluating then on a computer's a nigfht mare0 but great video and i cant wait to finally get round to the kirby games once i finish my run of the old metal gear games

  • vertually all consoles of the virtual console by game emulation, just saying. but great video
