I loved Zero Mission, but I'm not enjoying Fusion at all. It just isn't designed well - level design and gameplay-wise.

I believe that on NP's top 20 games on each console feature on their anniversary issue (in the GBA section, of course), they refered to this game as the "perfect realization of the Metriod concept."

yeah, they made this game to lead into the story of metroid prime, mecha ridley is a prototype of meta ridley, which ended up being ridley with armor replacing parts of his body that were messed up. Notice how you shoot mecha ridley in the chest, same thing you do to meta ridley in prime

The majority of people found Fusion to be a heck of a lot more challenging than this one. For people new to the series, start with this one. It's great. Nothing against you, wolfmane. I'm just sayin'.

Fusion is tougher in terms of bosses, but far easier in navigation. I'm one of the few Metroid fans who thinks Fusion is excellent, probably because it was the first I played.

What an absolutely fantastic game but JESUS CHRIST was it short!!! It was even shorter than Metroid Fusion (and that game was really short!) At least I still have Metorid Prime Hunters to look forward to as I've yet to start that one.

I'm not a huge fan. It was too short. They also tried to extend the story but that just turned out lame. I also didn't like the feel of the controls. Metroid has always done an excellent job whether in 3D or 2D of giving it a basic Metroid feel. In this one that feeling was taken away by making Samus seem heavy. Her jumps were too short and to fast. I was disappointed with that.

Dude, it's a heck of alot better than the origanal nes version, great graphics. I dunno what he is whining so much about. yeah it's not very long, but the origanal wasn't very long to begin with, so what do you expect?

It's only a little more than 3 years old. But, yeah, the DS pushed the GBA games off the shelves in most stores. In a Gamespot, look at the case that has Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games. Most are cartridges only, but that's still good.
