It does have weighted tips. However is not able to jump take off. Its funny you mention wings cause wings are going to be tested on the 3rd prototype. Thats correct its a free spinning rotor only the relative wind powers it. Except when you use pre rotator. There are many definitions for it really, autogyro, gyrocopter, gyroplane, just like an aircraft airplane, aeroplane.
Tail dragger gyros are harder to land as they try to dynamically roll when the tail touches on landing. The prop is too far aft of the COG and the ducting on the stabilizers is nothing but drag not to mention the prop is on the wrong side of the stabilizers and thus completely ineffective as it draws air across them instead of pushing air across them. HUGE difference.
I could give you more advice if you wanted it, or I can say "cool looking gyro dude" and leave it at that. does look cool.
I love the comments and if you have any ideas to make it better I would be more than happy to listen or implement. Its a people person / trainer gyroplane, love the ideas and love the critisizum, as an aerospace engineer I build aircraft for the pilots not for the profit.... Thats just icing on the cake :)
Its hardcore like!!! finger eleven... ha ha ha, not quite I know. But its a tail dragger due to making it a little on the easier side to land, sense you land tail first and the wicked suspension makes it even better. :)

some tuck away swing wings underneath would be great...unless the carter copter
people have a patent on it. I love it ! what do think of the tip jet rotor concept ? I'll share the clip if ya havn't seen it.
