It really is a blessing and a curse to have that good of a chin because after a while you start to rely on that. Also If Cro Cop landed the LHK in an MMA bout he would have followed it up with gnp and koed him. To finish hunt with one shot. I dont think that is possible

@SansFoy88 Cro Cop landed a less famous LHK in a PRIDE fight, and an axe kick. He was wearing wrestling shoes so check his highlights and look out for it.
It didn't land as cleanly as the one in K-1, but it did land and probably would've knocked a non-samoan out. Anyway, Hunto took the decision.

Bring manhoef and robbie lawler back to the ufc if you want to see exciting k.os. they would be gatekeepers like Chieck Kongo. Sure they would lose to some submissions but put two good strikers together so fans would get their moneys worth.

Just because an excellent striker like cro cop or manhoef have few lossess by k.o. immediately people say they have a glass jaw. You think you can take a direct hit from these heavy hitters or any other mma or k1 fighter take a clean hit to the jaw or temple and not have a great chance of getting k.o.d . These fighters know what their doing just look at their career records and count their own k.o.s not their k.o lossess.

Look at manhoefs record hes gone toe to toe with k1s greatest a piled huge k.o victorys. Hes been in wars with bonjasky, cyborg santos, to name a few taking huge hits. Manhoef is pure beast and a man of many trades, he has a mma record of 90 percent ko wins losing mostly to submissions and about 40 kickboxing matches with pretty good ko ration. This man knows stand up and trains hundreds of hours timing punches and kicks. many people underestimate this man but he gets my respect. Giving the fans pure action brawls which cost him some fights but thats what people want the exciting k.o. !

@theaxemurderer80 Bullshit...training for hundreds of hours for months on end to throw a punch is not luck...it's called training...if the guy was a complete novice that would be absolute luck but having seen Manhoef train many times I've seen him throw that exact punch hundreds of times on both the heavy bag and in sparring...any fight sport is underpinned by technique and technique allows you to time your punches...that in turn allow you to act on instinct...luck my ass you novice

I am not denying Manhoefs fighting ability, he is a great fighter with a weak chin but Hunt is known for his iron chin and power so I think that Hunt would win 9 out of 10 times. What do you have to say about my other arguments, ala GSP/Serra 1? GSP is greatly superior on the feet and on the ground but he still got blasted standing by serra. He proved in the 2nd fight he is the better fighter of the two. Luck exist.

Melvin simply did as a pro should in that situation and that's what pros train for day in day out. @ThundaDook Maybe, but take one hit from those 'whaling arms' and the match is over. He was rushing like that because Manhoef is twice as fast as he is, and is much worse on the ground than standing up. If you're as heavy as Hunt, it makes sense to just charge forward and try a takedown.
