Why the hell would I get a thumbs down? It reminded me of a movie. I didn't say this was the same weapon as on in it.

I mean excuse me all to hell if a weapon with similar operating action and camera to one posed in a war movie in much the same fashion (camera wise) reminds me of said war movie.

first time gun owner here ..just bought mini 14 nra version..havent fired it yet ...wow! i heard you get alot of brass in face ?

my mini 14 is great and no jams yet no brass in the face. The NRA version should be better than my mini. the NRA one is all improved version. ((good luck with the gun and be safe))

@gasdorf typically i find that the people two benches to the right of you at the range get brass in their face. if you aren't shooting at a range or have no one directly to your right, there is nothing to worry about. If you are worried, there are brass catchers and shell deflectors that fit on mini-14's.

And i THINK you fired around 35 rounds. Do you have a 40 round mag, and if so how does it work for you?

i am not sure but i think there was 40 rounds

2-20 round boxes but not sure any way the mag works great no jams yet.

@HiCapacity been a year now, no bans yet. Most gun buyers are getting over the hysteria that accompanied Obama's inauguration. I haven't made any gun purchases in the past couple of years because the people who panicked and thought a ban was imminent drove the prices on everything up so high.
