I think its wonderful what Doug & Lynne have done for the bears, why cant humans leave wild life be & there habitats they live in humans are so greedy, I adore all wild life especially bears I will gladly make long term donations to vitalground foundation.Good on you Doug & Lynne.
"Grizzly Bear" is another name for Brown Bears, which include Kodiaks. The difference in size and appearance between Kodiaks and grizzlies that live in the lower 48 is greatly influenced by diet. Kodiaks have a rich fish-based protein diet, while interior/lower 48 grizzlies have a diet that is much more plant based (berries and grasses) and scavenger based (eatting the remains of winter killed ungulates and taking over wolf kills).
I would love to hear a more detailed interview with Anthony Hopkins about what it was like to work with Bart the Bear. Greatest animal actor ever was Bart the Bear.
Oh I would so love that. Hopkins is my favourite actor, and I just adored Bart in the Edge and his other films. If anyone knows of such an interview please post details here.
Threatened by extinction in USA, not good.

"They're still in the same family. Its just the Kodiak bear Is a larger sub-species of Brown and grizzly bear."
&
"Still the same family its just the kodiak is a sub species of brown bear."
- these responses of yours to me saying "tut tut...Bart was a kodiak ! Not a grizzly !" are both illogical and plain incorrect...

- your response is irrelevant to what I stated, and comment number 2 is incorrect

Beautiful; what a wonderful land a land that humans must learn to share, we are loosing to much of our wild life!

share? i think humans should learn not to touch lands. we "share" too much already. one thing humans should do is lower the human population.
let there be 20 million humans in north america, then we could share the land with animals!
