After singing Handel's Messiah for many, many years, I always found this chorus to be one of the most difficult. Our choral director was trained under Shaw and their
music is some of the best I've heard. This is masterful! They must work their diaphragm muscles quite a lot! It sounds so effortless.
Robert Shaw's direction of the Messiah remains one of the best I've ever heard. He gives such a light hand where needed, and dramaticism in its needed place.
it's hurt my ears when the choir/conductor didn't emphasize on the dynamic. People intend to get too excited to sing and foggoten all about this most of the time.
this is such a difficult song! towards the second half the little random flutters of high and low notes gets really tough to find in your head. especially to sing so quietly. very well done!
easy...easy...not so easy!!!
Bravo
