  • lol..I woulda ran the rabbit over rather than crash into a tree

  • The host I remeber most from this show was Ted Robbins. Never knew Jeremy Beadle hosted it too!

  • is Bonk a word

  • The studio audience must have been full of college students.

  • 'I think they fancy you, Beverly' = Jeremy Beadle trying to chat up your wife! Hope you gave him a stern rebuke...

  • Demented shit :)

  • There are so many great gameshows from the 80s/90s that would go down a storm on tv today, but everyone seems alot more obsessed with shows about propertys and talentless people

  • 3:35 JAZZHANDS

  • this great should make a return to our screens again does anybody out there agree with me?

  • But who would host it?

  • @leesmith96 Definitely!

  • he was a prankster and he had an artifical arm, not a good combernation

  • he didn't have an artificial arm! he had six fingers on one hand.

  • He didn't have six fingers on one hand! One of his hands was a secret gun which fired eggs.

  • Change a letter,

    Do it again,

    And you've got a chain.

THAT'S HOW YOU PLAAAAAY CHAIN LETTERS,

    CHAIN LETTERS!

    Woaaaahhhh here's Beadle!

  • They should play this game in schools, would make English lessons more enjoyable and would certainly liven up our National Curriculum.

  • Jeremy Beadle is a great TV legend, RIP.

  • Ahem! "was"

  • huh huh....BONK

  • jeremy beadle ladies and gentlemen give him a big-hand

  • beadle has a small penis but on the other hand its massive!

  • Did anyone else notice how all three contestants managed to make the word BORE? What would have been the odds of that or was it pre-arranged just because of the gags at the beginning about the bloke who stuffed boars for a living?

  • It wasn't arranged.

  • ...........so they made a show with the name of something no-one likes,T _ |

  • This is a great clip of your wife as a contestant on Chain Letters with Jeremy Beadle BlokeFromBattersea

What was the date when this edition of Chain Letters first went out?

  • 3rd February 1988, it says at the beginning.

  • long live the late jeremy beadle.

  • @RapierInternational huh, "long live the late jeremy beadle" - do u see a problem with ur statement, prephaps u should say rest in peace the late great jeremy beadle.

  • Ouch with regards to crashing your car to avoid the rabbit. How long and drawn out was the insurance claim process?

  • This was a genuine story. The trouble is, the TV company and JB wanted to rehearse it, so he could ask the question "what's the most you have paid for a rabbit? This made it sound false.

The car was a write-off, so was the rabbit. I think the claim wasquite quick.

  • I bet you didn't know this, but "Chain Letters" was produced by Barry & Enright Productions, the same people that produced "The Joker's Wild", "Tic Tac Dough", "Break the Bank", "Bullseye", and other great shows.

  • Beverly's shirt is awesome.

  • If you come at my house i'm gonna take a fucking grenade and shove it up your ass.

You are such a retard for believing in these stupid chain letters.Get a life nerd.

  • That's because they come from...England :-)

  • So Beverly is your wife? I'm impressed by that first round performace she gave resulting in 65 pounds!

  • 35 quid to be exact.

  • How is it 35? She got 13 correct, and at 5 pounds a piece 13 x 5 = 65. Perhaps I miscalcuated it.

  • I thought you were talking about the 1st woman.

  • No, I meant that third woman.

  • I used to like this show as a kid, but funnily enough don't remember Beadle doing it. It had a lot of presenters throughout its run as I recall, including Andrew O'Connor (the main one I remember).

  • Jeremy Beadle (1987 - 1988)

    Andrew O'Connor (1988 - 1989)

    Allan Stewart (1989 - 1991)

Ted Robbins (1993 - 1995) ( clip of this on here)

    Vince Henderson (1996)

    Dave Spikey (1997)

  • bonk lol

  • I have to take your word for that!

  • don't make fun of the dead!

  • Aha, the reason for this is that the dead cant defend themselves but wtf would he defend himself on here? He wouldnt would he.

  • Look at his little hand!!!

  • Wow, yeah, like, I've never ever seen anyone with that condition before. And he's famous. So, yeah, like, let's make a big deal out of that...

  • I've wanted to see this gameshow again for AAAGES! Thanks for uploading!

  • Very good gameshow, this - simple but engaging.

  • RIP Jeremy Beadle. (Funny how everybody took him for too much granted when he was alive...)

Instead on so many sub-Jerry Springer shows, ITV ought to bring back daytime gameshows like this.

  • Challenge TV has got hold Chain letters, I believe its the later show but it could end up with the older ones

  • "where YOU CAN WIN..."

    AUDIENCE:

    "ONE...

    THOUSAND...

    POUNDS (£1,000)!!!"

    lol

  • Hi BlokeFromBattersea,

Great upload of Chain Letters featuring the late Jeremy Beadle.

Do you have other episodes of Chain Letters featuring Andrew O'Connor, Allan Stewart and Ted Robbins episodes?

  • I'm afraid not.

My wife Beverly has appeared on quite a few shows, and these are the only ones I have recorded.

    Sorry...

    Cheers

    John

  • Thankyou SOOOOOOOOOO much for posting this. Chain Letters is one of my all time fave shows. Wish they would bring it back or at least repeat it somewhere.

  • This is the first full episode i've seen. The only downside is that the audience sound like they're from a CITV show...

  • So, you crashed your car to avoid a rabbit?

  • Yes!

  • I so remember this episode. Beverley did really well on Chain Letters. So did Marie and David. They are all very clever. I hope they bring Chain Letters back to ITV1 because I am missing it so much. Chain Letters is my favourite ever game show. Well done Beverley, David and Marie you are all very clever. I am glad Beverley got through to the superchain round. It would have been fab if she won it. I feel sorry for her she didn't win. £555 is better then nothing. I hope they bring back this show.

  • I just love Chain Letters. David, Beverley and Marie are so lucky getting a chance to go on Chain Letters. In the first round Beverley is on fire she also sets the studio on fire because she gets 13 words in 45 seconds. I am so upset Beverley didn't win the superchain round. £555 is better then nothing. Marie and Beverley are lucky ducks because at the end of Chain Letters they got to kiss Jeremy Beedle. Well done to David, Beverley and Marie they all did so well. But Beverley she was the best.

  • This is a very interesting show!!! This would be great show to bring to the U.S.

  • I remember getting home from school- 2nd class, and watching this at dinnertime! I was 8. This episode is over 20 years old...wow! I remember playing along to this, and talking to the lads in my class about it when I'd go back to school when it was over for the day. Great seeing this again- thank you Sir!!!

  • Great performance by Beverley in the first round - she scored as much as David and Marie put together.

  • do you have any other episodes from the later years of Chain Letters.

  • Hi doddzesgameshowroom (do you like game shows?)

I only have this one as my wife was in it and won! I do plan to upload other game shows that she was in...Runway (with Chris Searle); 4 Square; 100%; 100% Gold; One to Win; No Win, No Fee; Judgemental; Memory Bank; (New) Sale Of The Century; Winner Takes All; 15 to 1 and Weakest Link.

  • upload Runway first please

  • Will do!

  • How many Memory Bank and 4 Square episodes do you have?

  • 1 Memory Bank and 3-4 Four Square

  • Awesome :D. I hope you don't mind me asking, but will you be putting them on Youtube?

  • I had planned to upload another show, it's just finding the time.

  • what year do you have episodes of 15 to 1 from

  • Sept 1988 & july 2000

    Cheers

    John

  • Gee, your wife must be the Maggie Brown of the UK.

And you don't pay taxes on your game show winnings. That must be pretty sweet. Then again, British game shows are notoriously cheap when compared to American game shows.

  • A great tribute to a great entertainer.

    RIP Jeremy :)

  • WOW.....i've been looking for the full epsiode of chain letter for AGES!!! Thanks very much for the upload. Jeremy Beadle is a Ledgend !!!!

  • You're welcome. I'm glad you like it. I have now uploaded the rest (parts 2&3) after removing them because of a problem.

    Cheers

    John
