@Prospero4960 Just to be clear, I'm Lew Stone's great neice, and my dad is Joyce Stone's nephew. Shes still going strong and will be 100 this year! This is such a quintessential Bowlly/ Stone sound from the Monseigneur era- A gorgeous opening from Alfie Noakes on trumpet, Joe Crossman with his subtone clarinet solo, and Al backed, as he so often was in a beautifully unerstated way with celeste (I think Lew Stone himself played celeste on recordings) Delicious!
