I love cheesie 80s movies but honestly this one is pretty bad. But whatever, it's still 80s and Matt Dillon looks damn good (I'm not gay but I'd love to look like this guy) so I'll probably add it to my dvd collection. 1980s were the golden days.

This movie was filmed at The Silver gull beach club in Breezy Point New York, The owner owns The surf club also in breezy ny, and two others in Atlantic Beach NY Silverpoint beach club and Sun and Surf beach club where I am a cabana person.

I was in Italy a couple of weeks ago and there was a hat I saw at all the souvenir shops that said "buy me buy me buy me". I couldn't figure out why I liked that hat until I remembered The Flamingo Kid. I love that hat on Matt Dillion. On me it looks bad but on him it was perfect. I didn't buy one.

I love the line at the end where Bronson Pinchot says to his blind date... "you know you have a hole between your teeth. and she says back to him " and you have a big fucking nose!!" (lol). Also, when he says I think I am going to be sick and his friend says.. well don't sick on my new shirt and then the other friend says... it's your shirt that's making me sick!!!

It was def The Silver Gull Beach Club in breezy point NY. I recognize the pools. Also when I first started working there I was told that the movie was filmed there.

the arcade scene was done at adventures in younkers, was knocked down for a movie theater. i miss the hell out of that arcade. great childhood memories with my brothers and friends

@smognote i grew up right next to cross county center(where adventurers was) i remember the arcade inside and the kids rides outside.they were good times..i dont know if your still in the area,but it is a movie theater now.but i always remember going there as a kid
