@popemobil74 check the law, a police officer does not have the same rights as a citizen. There are good reasons for that. By law they need probable cause to gather evidence against a citizen. Your right to peaceful assembly is not probable cause. In every case in where police forces bypass that principle you have very well documented abuse. The worst, of course, being Nazi Germany. During said research I have been enlightened a great deal on many aspects of recent changes to civil liberties, both in Canada and the US, as well as law enforcement. Most of it scares the hell out of me. I base my concerns on facts not speculation. I encourage you to look a little closer.

As you can see in this video, they are targeting "leaders" of a perfectly legal demonstration.Illegal law enforcement acts. That should concern everyone. Check out the many civel liberties violations from the recent G-20 in Toronto. There is an effort across North America to intimidate the right to assembly. Something I would never have believed myself before researching it. Keep an eye on Mexico this year.

@popemobil74 check the law, a police officer does not have the same rights as a citizen. There are good reasons for that. By law they need probable cause to gather evidence against a citizen. Your right to peaceful assembly is not probable cause. In every case in where police forces bypass that principle you have very well documented abuse. The worst, of course, being Nazi Germany. It goes from being benign to oppression very quckly. See "The Patriot Act".

As you can see in this video, they are targeting "leaders" of a perfectly legal demonstration.Illegal law enforcement acts. That should concern everyone. Check out the many civel liberties violations from the recent G-20 in Toronto. There is an effort across North America to intimidate the right to assembly. Something I would never have believed myself before researching it. Keep an eye on Mexico this year.

Don't be fooled, these sites are monitored by Google, they are not just watching physical demonstrations. Social Networking is an audit trail, and they get your information from your profile. The more you frequent web sites like this and post this type of stuff, the more they get. Also, almost all states now have cameras at every intersection. This was not implemented for the sole purpose of issuing tickets, after all many of the tickets that are generated are thrown out, they are not legal.

You have no right to privacy when you are in PUBLIC. It doesn't really matter if you're being filmed in public because the whole world can see you when you're in public anyways. I like it when people say they want cops to have cameras so they can catch incidences of misconduct yet complain when cops actually use cameras to do so. The cameras are there to collect evidence.
