HI, I'm running Iphone 3G 3.1.2 does it have A2DP feature? I can get the handsfree to work in the car but not stream audio. If i'm on a call, my gps will go through the audio. But as soon as I hang up then the audio for GPS is gone? Can you help?
I can use bluetooth handsfree for calls with the iphone (OS 3.1 official ) but i cannot use bt for ipod music, cause i have not the little bt icon on right lower corner of the ipod app. Any suggestion?
Are you f**king serious? Why would I waste time posting a fake ass video? I know there is many fake videos here on YouTube, but that's not my style. This is a iPhone 3G 16gb and this video was shot before 3.0 officially came out to public (the developer beta). thanks for the pointless comment!!! :P
Do your steering wheel controls (next track/previous track) work for controlling the iPhone or do you have to use the controls specifically on the iPhone?
No I can't change the track with the steering wheel controls however there is a button in the Mazda to Play/Pause the Bluetooth connected device. I'm not too sure if the issue is the lack of the next track button in my Mazda 6 or if the iPhone doesn't allow next/last track control over A2DP. Has anyone else been able to change track over bluetooth (without touching the iPhone)?
ok, i finally got it, i had to remove my computer from the bluetooth list.....BTW, if u disable the shake to skip feature that should help with the random skipping BS
mine wont work. the bluetooth connects I know because the phone calls come through my car stereo but when im tryin to play a song on Ipod it doesnt ask me to choose which one to play the sound through it just goes through the speaker
andoink: Are you able to track forward and back now, (the ACRVP part?) you mentioned in earlier posts (older betas) you could not.
When you say automatically connects, are you saying your iphone can be in deep sleep, you get in your car, turn it on, hit play on bluetooth streaming and it all connects without you touching anything on the iphone?
Can anyone confirm you can hit play on headphones, (like S9) with the iphone in deep sleep that it will wake up and start playing! What about AVRCP?
ever since OS 3.0 beta 5 came out my iphone now connects to my Mazda on its own and resumes playback! Theres been so many times where i forget it does that and i have my iphone with screen locked in my pocket. One time i had my volume in my car really high from the day before, and when the music blasted on it scared the shiet out of me. lol
No AVRCP, meaning the iphone controls are the only controls currently. I hope they add it soon so i can use the next track buttons on my steering wheels.
is that a 3G iphone? Or a 2G iphone? I just updated my firmware on my 2G iphone to 3.0 GM and i have no bluetooth option. And i cannot get it to sync with my 2009 mazda 6. My phone syncs fine for hands free dialing, but i cant get to to sync for audio.. really annoying. Im assuming the 2G iPhone doesn support it.
Apple has said that they are not going to allow support of A2DP on the 2G. They claim its incompatible hardware, but we all know thats a lie (how else can they sell you a 3G/S).
On the SIDE: I can also confirm that AVRCP is NOT working on the 3G using the GM build either.
Does anyone else find the S9 kinda sucky? I have had 2 and one was all jacked up and wouldn't pair, returned it, and the next one paired fine, but the audio wasn't loud at all, and I tried my friends pair (he recommended to me) and they sucked too. My Other Motorola set sounds awesome, but I like the fit of the S9 better, anyone ?? Thx
Does anyone else have the problem when the phone locks either from automatically or when you hit the power button the sound quality is horrible it gets all distorted on my phone
I was disappointed when i found out that iPhone didnn't support stereo bluetooth for music. (that was kinda the reason i didn't buy an iPod Touch instead) because i got a wicked good bluetooth headset! but soon my waiting is over mwahahahaahahaaaah =) =D
The icons hard to see but in the first 10 seconds its the one on the bottom right. This was the very first Beta 3.0 ( so its beta 1 )
now the bluetooth quality is flawless after beta 4 and now the new 5. they also changed the display. when connected in bluetooth it will show the name of the device youre connected to and finally automatically starts playing the music. (you used to have to switch to the device than hit play!)
sadly i'm not getting that on beta 5. I connect to my headset and it just plays through the speakers. Maybe i'll find another headset it try it on that one....
are you kidding?? have you read any articles about the Beta OS 3.0. you'll notice in the reviews that there is a delay with responses for changing songs, hitting pause, play, etc... the newest update to the beta (i think released last week) has made it much better, now the music doesnt even skip while using maps, and when changing songs its less of a delay.
but yeah this isnt a hoax video, just a real video on how functional the a2dp is with 3.0 (or unfunctional in this case lol :P)
Well, I just got 3.0 on my phone but what am I doing wrong that the music isn't going to my headset. They are paired and I'm not getting anything. any ideas?
sorry for the delay, but yeah once bluetooth is turned on and synced with your device it should work by going into the ipod player than hitting the bottom-right "bluetooth" icon than selecting your device.
got it ... thx. After testing for a while. It is definitely glitchy ... the whole OS 3.0 is glitchy but thats expected. Those wondering about the S9 headset compatibility, I can assure you that it works. Aside from the occassional skipping of music which usually happens when you're doing something with the phone such as texting or whatever, the headset works great. I used it during my workout yesterday and it was great. However the controls to go to the next song didnt work. FINALLY A2DP!
Hold on ... I just bought the BT S9 Headset today at Best Buy. I'm now doing research about how Iphone's lack of A2DP support doesn't let the S9 work with the Iphone. So does the Iphone have A2DP now or what? Pls clear this up for me. Thx.
yeah the iphone running the newest beta software 3.0. the iphone has A2DP (which lets you stream music wirelessly) but doesnt have AVRCP (which lets the device change the song or controls) that means i still have to hit next on my iphone to change song instead of my steering wheel controls. :(
I tested 3.0 with the Motorola S9-HD and they sound pretty good. Not as good as wired, but very good. Only annoying thing is that when you do other stuff on the phone, even browsing around in the iPod the music stops for a few seconds, but hey, it's a beta.
yeah i noticed the music pauses for a few seconds every 5-7 minutes as well even when im not multitasking. hopefully these issues get resolved because music skipping in my car reminds me of damn CDs!
yeah only if i had a pair of bluetooth headphones lol didnt need them until now. but if you have the headphones you can send them over and ill make one lol :)
Good song!

Does this work with any audio output from the iPhone (ie spotify or a satnav app) as if it were connected by a cable, or is it iPod app only?

Stupid video. You got it working. Great. Telling people how to get it working might be more useful.

It seems working only on US mazda versions...
I took a look on my user manual (italian) and there isn't any section speaking aboyut a2dp, while in US version there is it
Why? Who knows....

Clearly not playing from the iPhone, look at that delay when he presses the play and pause button.
