@use2slam2- uh, yds are shorter than meters. So those times are basically irrelevant. To think That today's runners are slower than those 40 years ago is nonsensical. A Look at ANY sport dealing with speed, strength, even size of football players and Bball players shows that athletes are "bigger, faster, stronger".

actually despite his height, at worlds he had one of the best starts in the field and was easily leading by 60. they break down times by meters in those big events and he was supposedly 6.2x which is believable because even tyson was around 6.3x which both were faster times than the current 60m world record.
