I was there too!! I went every Friday & Saturday night for 2 years & got the Flicks bus from Stonehaven. To any of the staff reading this... Hello! I had the time of my life there & this brings back amazing memories!!
i was at this one - i was 16!!!! my parents took me to it ha ha ha - loved the hitman and her used to watch it recorded every sunday afernoon and dance around the living room - but to have actually been there was fab!
The way I see it is it was a dam privilege to be part of the Flicks history , My job there as a DJ was made easy with the fantastic crowd we played to week after week . For me it was the audience who made Flicks , and my time there I wouldn't have traded for the world . Big thanks to Brechin Forfar Montrose and every one who made the trip
Bollocks. those who went there and were local fuckin loved the place. so far ahead of what brechin and angus can offer now for UK wide interest entertainment, they were at the forefront. I worked the door there, and subsequently at Joannas in Elgin, then i left them and did freelance in Aberdeen but the innocent pre drug era days when folk just dressed up for a night out and got pissed, got a laff and got bussed home is missed. we can do without the stupid social commentary of postmanjock eg...
