  • I have a female green singer. she had a mate and there were eggs but no chicks. I've had her since 2002. She is at least 10 years old. I think this is out of the normal life-span as I hear 3-5 years. So, do you think she is possibly a hybrid due to her long life span? She looks very much like the bird in this video.

  • He's a great singer. He's singing right now. Are you doing anymore goldfinch x canary breeding?

  • This bird is awesome! He live with me now:-)

  • Can you give me some advices on how to breed green singer with a canary?

  • What a delightful little bird.

He sounds gorgeous. My mule canary is loving this video!

I see that there is one "dislike"............ (What is wrong with some people....?)

  • excuse me, MULE means, this bird can't have babies?

  • Yes, most Carduelan Finch X Canary crosses are sterile. They are the final product and will live many years, usually longer than both parental species, they are much stronger and less prone to problems because of hybrid vigor.

  • !!!!! BEAUTIFUL BIRD !!!!!!

  • Did you try the cross on the other way, (female mozambicus)?

  • No I used a male Green Singer the White -tipped variety

  • Hey Charlie what type of canary was used for this Mule?

  • It was a Fife canary, reason I used it is that the Fife has no predetermined song, like the Roller,Waterslager,etc... and the young mules can be more easily taught different finch notes and combinations instead. Also did not use a normal variety Green Singer, I used the slightly bigger White-tipped variety that also has a different song than the regular Green Singer.

  • That is nice. Love him. I love when they sing another song.

  • beauty colore and great sing!
