1. This is mainly for people who have kids that don't know how to open car doors carefully yet, and

2. It's a preventative measure meant for accidents. I've sometimes bumped another car by opening a door, but it's not like i was -trying- to, or i was swinging it open wildly, accident happen.

Chill out people. It's just a car. Plus,in the video they swung the doors as hard as they did to display how quickly this thing works, as an example.

Thats the only option for the edges of the door... But one day i opened my door and i hitted a small column on the middle of the door! I would put small sensors on all doors and if some column or something that can hit whole door the sensors would detect that and not open door at all or it would beep if some thing is close....

You wont swing the door open as you wont want to crush your hand + If you do make contact, flesh is much softer than metal.

Also, teaching children isn't 100% reliable. They're children after all, and it's their nature to be careless sometimes. Some car doors will get damaged/stained easier than others.

The point is to prevent damage to the car, and this is an effective measure. I don't see why you're so against it? Can you explain why?

This is just a way of being lazy, take a little time, have a little respect and door protectors arent needed.

Intilling a level of respect in a child at an early age make alot of difference, this is teaching laziness.
