I met Billy Bragg,he lives near me and Iam in love with his music,country and had the pleasure of writing to him and he said yes for an interveiw for BBC newsday. I one day hope to become a singer and he has given me confidence. I will never forget that Monday morning on the beach :) was incredible,whole day of school with a celebrity! Wow!

There was a big study done by one of the uni's recently looking at ALL the prevailing political systems. Capitalism complete with inherent flaws won out.
No system is perfect, but I have had a sweet life. I left school with a degree in mucking about & worked hard. Through choice I do a pretty low grade job as a mini cab driver, that provides for 2 weeks in Cephalonia, food on the table a wide screen & all the PS3 games the kids want.

I for one do not label myself at all prefering to look at the best parts of each political party and believing that the bickering and points scoring does nothing to benefit the country as a whole. @98pup100 I am afraid that with mass overpopulation and an ever deteriorating education system we can expect little more than we have. The current system benefits very few in terms of monetary gains, as critical thought diminishes intelligence levels follow.
Doom and gloom it is not but in truth we are not far off. We need rank and file change at the top and an education system that informs children of real issues they will experience upon leaving school.
Algebra? How about finance training!

The fact of the matter is that there are kids in Sub Sharan Africa who write in the sand with sticks who perform better than our kids!
UK Asian kids manage to cut the mustard through their parents valuing education & installing an ethos of hard work & commitment into them.
Most Britsih "dependant class" kids wouldn't put themselves out if they were on fire, why bother when you have the all encompasing Welfare Net to fall softly in to.

@98pup100 The first thing you need to do is to stop aligning yourself with any one political party. Divide and conquer, just because you believe that a certain party shares your beliefs it does not mean you should lambast the "opposition" just because they are that the "opposition"!
One thing you should learn about politics is this, it is of prime importance for the country to have apposing parties as a two party system will always perform as expected.
Educated men should learn yto see past it

It is a simple truth that politics & politicians, in a democratic system, will fall on Left / Right lines. That happens around the world.
Forget about the monarchy being anything other than a very lucrative & successful theme park, the income from which has probably kept quite a few unemployed chavs in Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

@98pup100 Lol you really are big on stereotypes, the reason why they act they way they do (chavs) is because they have an education system that has severely let them down.
Couple that with shocking parenting skills and you have big problems. Also just because a so called democratic system has the left and right it does not make it the correct way for a political system to function, some would argue that any political system under this guise does not function at all in terms of progression.

It is ALWAYS some else's fault isn't it? Labour have almost bankrupted the country & education spending was high up the list of expenses. The fact that a lot of kids were more interested in Jacking off to smoke a joint or putting chairs over teachers heads doesn't figure in your reasoning does it.
Immigrant families come here & live in the shitiest areas & yet their kids pull up trees academically - Go figure & do it quick!

@98pup100 The cause of unemployment should be assesed and not the result. The reason why unemployment is so high in this country is the government neglect of the manufacturing industry compare this with the willing to invest and aid any financial institutions, what more can we expect?
Now benefits are being slashed and yet there are no jobs to relieve the strain on the benefit system resulting in even more poverty. This country is a mess hence the reason I am leaving as soon as possible.

@iziahlights I have posted before that Labour encouraged over 4 million people to come to these shore & the vast majority of those capable of it, found work, so what were the indigenous workforce doing?
Stat the other day; recent immigrants making up around 0.5% of the UK populous filled 80% of the positions available. Work is there.
It is down to individuals to start businesses NOT governments. We lost out on what we had because we became complacent & lazy + the Left HATE enterprise!

@98pup100 To understand the reasoning of your point is easy and I agree to an extent but when immigrants come into the UK they are almost always coming here from a much more harsh and unforgiving enviroment thus the willingness to work menial and poorly paid jobs will always be greater than those already here.
So yes you are correct people are becoming lazy.
