Bro, this isn't worth 2400$. The 3d screen is a 300$ option. The stock processor is now a sandy refresh 2.2 and 4gb extra ram is 200$ through dell, 40 if you do it yourself.

1499+300 = 1800 BRAND NEW for this setup with a better graphics card and processor.

Work on your price. Nobody is going to buy something used for more than it's worth new.

Just ordered mine today when they were re-released with the fix. I heard from customer service the flaw they had before was connector issues with the sandy bridge? Don't really care as long as it functions out of the box. Was looking at the Asus ROG's and they're reasonably priced, only difference though is Asus isn't officially customizable. A few distributors will customize but you're just covered under their warranty. Would rather see 240hz at this price though, but who knows (r4?).

Not true. asus is very good, but compared to alienware, asus makes computer not so user upgrade friendly for future upgrades. alienware makes laptops w/ future user upgrade friendly in mind. plus, alienware's warranty offers techs that come to your door to fix problems rather than having to ship laptop out. w/ the new r3, you have the possibility of owning an alienware laptop much cheaper and close to same price as an asus. build quality, i think asus and alienware on are par.

@Benerfe the ASus G51JX-X5 looks amazing. I'm not into the alienhead on the top cover. Asus has 3 light stripes and the logo that lights up on the cover. The keyboard is backlit butnot like alienwares light around each key. It's light underneath like a christmas tree. It's nice, every nice.  Far better than all the laptops in Best Buy.

@ItsThaaAzn The reason for the recall is due to decaying Sata controllers. Intel found a decrease in hard drive and optical drive performance. I originally ordered the R3, but after hearing about the Sandy Bridge recall, and the fact that the R3 is made with a plastic housing, I canceled it and ordered an M17x R2 instead. Also, anybody with an R3 order won't get it until mid march.

So i'm kinda uneasy on getting a new system when the gaming industry is "too lazy" to begin on a "Next-gen" of gaming...
