Did ADJ really put the cable inputs on the freakin' bottom? So that means you can't sit them on the floor or speakers. You have to hang them. That really blows.
@slaction - It really all depends what effect you are looking for. The biggest difference is that scanners are much faster than moving heads because there is less weight to move from point A to point B. Scanners are great for high energy light show, raves, clubs that play fast music etc.
I have finally found a scanner worthy of selling my 4 ADJ Concept 2 fixtures finally. Did I mention it also has a Mini C controller & a transport case? Not a scratch on em guys. Digging the Vizi Scanners for sure! Greg
I was sold, until I seen that it has only a 13 degree beam angle. I hate lights that you have to get 12 feet in the air to get a decent sized pattern out of them. A shame.
This one looks really nice! I bet its pretty compact too.
i'm curious though if American DJ is planning on doing a light that has dual gobo wheels (With gobo morphing), thatd be a really epic additional feature for one similar to this. It'd be nice to see one of those budget friendly like this one.
I think a lot people will be going back to scanners with this out now. Especially mobile djs with rigs that only throw light forward and to the sides. Also, the motors moving just a mirrors will last a lot longer then motors moving an entire unit.
@djvictorsalazar - Yes, you can add custom gobos. Check out the section of the video about the SLOCK (slot locking) gobos that can be removed form the wheel.

Apart form the features, how much brighter is this Vizi Scan LED Pro than the adj x-scan LED Plus? I'm tossing up between the two, brightness wise.

This scanner looks great. The movement seems so smooth. Why should I buy this over a vizi spot? Besides the small price difference?

@MacAudioWorks - Yeah, the 13-degree beam angle is for larger throws for mid sized venues. This scanner is really bright! Like a 250 discharge lamp!
