acutually, the great thing about the comments on youtube is I don't have to shut my pie hole... also, I would love to show you how to "play better" but I'm in college and can't really afford a camera right now. When i do get one however, I'll be sure to to send you something so that way, i wont be a "trolling twirp?"
The old can't afford a camera excuse. Excuses are like ASSHOLES and your comments are like ASSHOLE troll comments. They are senseless, jealous attempts to puff yourself up. You are too busy in college to take the time a real Harmonica player takes to practice. You have not done crap on your youtube page in a year and a half. I doubt you have put in years of actual hours of daily practice so kiss off little wannabe boy and stay in School because you need some major edumacation, you dweeb!
first, of all... i don't know why you insult me, second... I acutally practice everyday. Like I said before, when i get some recording software, i will send you some clips, so you can grow up now and stop with all the unneccessary insults. thanks
Recording software can be downloaded free. You have no excuses except lame ones and you made a number of comments on a couple videos of Michael Rubin indicating you think you play better than he, so you deserved a challenge and a couple slams thrown your way. It is called 'Put up, or SHUT UP!' If you can't handle it then go delete your channel and find another place on the internet to play you dumb kid.
mottag8830, Had you just said you didn't like the video it is one thing, but when you say he is a bad musician like you have implied by stating 'he is just not good' at overblows on the other video of him on stage with Jason Ricci and Chris Michalek you crossed the line with me by insulting him like you have a vendetta. Mr. Rubin does not yet have much presence on Youtube and you likely have no clue about how good and versatile he really is as a musician.
OK, cool. However, this doesn't impress me as a piece of music, rather as a circus act.Michael Rubin demonstrates his skills here, he can play in all 12 keys on a single diatonic harp.Great but then again: so what?I play diatonic 1st, 2nd and 3rd position.I'm also in the process of learning overblows but I'm in love with the chromatic harp and I would prefer mastering that.
I know there are some heavy critiques of michael here...and I'm not entirely in disagreement with all of them I will say however I definitly could not of done half as well as Mr. Rubin did here. The 3rd position playing was especially sweet and the position that follwed that whatever it was rocked. I commend your efforts here michael. It took Balls and even though I hated when you did it at rockers on the slow blues you still Crazy for trying and I respect that.
Hey Jason, you are a good guy for sticking up for Michael. If every note you blew pleased everyone all the time it seems life could get kind of boring. Michael even stated this was more an attempt to get tricky than an attempt to make harmonious music. He appears to me to be doing his own attempt in Bb of what Howard Levy does on a C Harp and that is just insane indeed.
I like Harmonica John.
I also like the Parlor Trick.
My cajones are not big enough for this stunt.
John could do if he wanted to--he has all the equipment (draw your own conclusions).

I did not like it, Michael.
The word "cacophony" comes to mind for a good part of the parlor trick.
OTOH, I think highly of you.

Brilliant. Well done. Thanks for the demonstration.
