The joined hands meditation position , is taught by master Wu Kuo Chung who was the student of Master Cheng Man Ching , there are other aspect of this meditation to that is similar ..The joining of the hands Wu calls " purify the heart " form . ...this is the first time I have seen this anywhere, except Master Wu ......this is very good .
The whole element/color that's brought to one's attention is so beautiful. Purple Cloud (crown chakra) in the northern hemisphere (China), to the Red earth (root chakra) in the southern hemisphere of Australia. And how the energy flows from above to below. Including all the elements in the poem is beautiful too. Most videos don't talk except to illustrate form. The poetry of this is beautiful. I really knew nothing about Qigong before watching this (though I work with energy in my work)
@solaraine - Like you, I discovered qigong after some years of energy work, surprised to find that this tradition thousands of years old, covered the little I knew and much more, in a very structured fashion. Like you, I was attracted to qigong through the beauty of the external form: beauty, the bait for truth. I chose a poetic form of expression, which speaks to the soul. The soul may still recognise and respond to that, which the modern intellect dismisses.
Really beautifully done..Is this typically done one time a session or multiple times? Also, I noticed that you've done some nice tai chi videos. I was wondering how Beijing and Yang styles compare. They seem very similar.
Thanks for your interest. yes it's filmed in one session, like the rest of my videos. ref: 24 Form (or "Beijing 24") vs Yang: there is no such style as "Beijing style". The 24 Forms is a modern Yang style, not a "traditional" one. The trad. style is smaller frame and more internalised, the modern style has large, expansive moves. You can perform the 24 in a traditional manner, likeTaijiFan in you Favs. Think of "Beijing 24" as the name of the sequence, which you can perform it in various styles.

Better to say "on the wings of intent" - as Castaneda`s books (espec. in 9-th dedicated to dreams). Magician`s Intention is really wonderful force!
