In the case of a "Total Loss Vehicle" the appraiser MUST provide the adjuster with three (3) written estimate as to the replacement value of your vehicle ... a low, medium and high value. The adjuster will ALWAYS try to settle your claim using the LOWEST estimate ... REMEMBER THAT.
A claim adjuster's job is extremely stressfull. Consumers would greatly benefit and speed things up if they (1) report a claim, (2) then write down their claim number and then (3) let the adjuster assigned to their claim, to call them back...instead of calling the adjuster constantly to get an update on their claim.
