Best way to eat the egg is to cut it in cube, and cook it in a rice soup for 5 min. The rice soup will turn into a battery taste. It's very hardcore to eat it raw! Most Chinese eat it well cook.

Since I was young I hated Asian mentality felt a greater sense of kinship towards western people. Probably it was because of stuffs like that.

It smells rather differently and if one isn't used to it, it can be hard. But it smells definitely much better than aged cheese which is more like dirty feet smell. Well, I'd admire the first person who discovered and dared to eat it. However, it is actually pretty good. Egg white/black is transparent and dark like jelly - both appearance and taste. Egg yolk changes into a distinct dark green color with center of the yolk becoming real soft and rich creamy and a little sticky at times -yum!
