Ha, your going from rockets to turbo jets and I'm going back the other way.
I wouldn't design a system around leaf blowers and open air flames. Buy a turbo then build a system around that first. Combustion chambers and flame tube design depend on the turbo.
Well next to none off the leaf blower. That's only about 1 pound of boost at best. Once I get a small motorcycle turbo from somehwere it should make about 15 lbs of thrust. Not much but I plan to convert it to a turboshaft engine. Suddenly I find myself with 30 shaft hp on my hands. Plenty of power for a small go-kart or a bike or something like that.
