  • ALWAYS , easy, hard, awesome or a real shame, the boss battles are a simbol that, a part of the game has reached some point and something new is in the path

  • Boss battles should scale to your level. I don't like it when they're incredibly easy.

  • In role playing games they are extremely important to me. Just think about pokemon and zelda, those games would hardly be as fun without key points such as the gym leader battles, and the temples in zelda. I love rpgs but they would be waaay too easy for me if there weren't boss battles. In that way im very thankful for boss battles very very glad.

  • That question isn't possible for me to answer in 500 characters o.o

I think about game design on such a deep level, that the most simplistic way for me to answer it would be to say: "It depends on the genre of game, and how far into the game the player is."

In an RPG, boss battles should ALWAYS further the story in some way, whereas with action/adventure games, they should test the player's skill by presenting them with a challenge that ranges in difficulty depending on when in the game it is.

  • boss batles are sometimes fun but mainly anoying

  • i friggin hate boss battles but i never lose cause they tick me off :p

  • boss battle have to be epic, challenging but not so challenging it get frustrating after a few minutes.

  • boss battles are important when your character is low leveled

  • OH Yeah NintendoFanGirl I love the intro song it was well put together.

And you eyes baby your eye's are so beautiful

  • Now this is a real woman! beautiful,IQ,video gamer and o my god she's beautiful, I bet she could mop the floor with me in any video games choice I pick. while she's crushing me all I could do is look into those big beautiful eyes and fall n love ,the fact that she is crushing me in the game it would not matter because my spirit will be humble with her beauty!

  • bosses and freedom are probbably my favorite things in games. ( that's probbably why i'm such a huge fan of zelda and shadow of the colossus)

  • of course bosses are important! If you're good at a game bosses are the GREAT equalizer and are the most fun to me.

  • shadow of the colossus. best game. Agro, nuff said :}

do a segment on companions/strong "different" relationships?

somn like that. talk ta ye

  • this title is heresy and should not be spoken.

  • Bosses (like meeee) are EPIC!!!

  • Boss battles are important, yes. Something that I thought Metroid: Other M failed in... lack of bosses and the quality of the bosses was terrible.

  • i only ever play zelda games so yeah, i'd say boss battles are important because - beside the dungeon you find it in - they are really the only major chance you get to test your ability with the object you find there.

(this comment excludes battle weapons like the sword, shield and bow...it also excludes the odd zelda games like twilight princess where you have to use all of your stuff across the game)

  • Yes, they are.

  • I love boss battles. They're always beast. Especially the paper mario ones just because they're fun

  • you remember, The Game boy

  • very

  • Creepy.......

  • My favorite DS game of all time Contra 4!!!!!

  • pretty big if you cant be challenged with the small fryz

  • Boss Battles are important because they are...the top of every single thing U did through the game. All storyline, all gameplay, all paths U walked in a story has to end with a final term. In the case of a boss battle, it has to be THE BIGGEST THING EVER, because it's the conclusion of all U passed through...the boss battle is the way U end all of the stuff. So yeah...it's one of the most important thing to end a game with the best feeling.

  • shes pretty and nice ,, she was awesome !!!!!!!

  • They are good depending on the boss, final bosses aren't good to m unless the final boss has character, and is difficult if you are untrained.

  • Shadow of the Colossus was a great game (I plan to get it when it is remade for the PS3), to me Boss Battles are important, as long as they are challenging and/or memorable in a good way

  • well they are important, but more like in difficulty levels. I wish Ganondorf was a lot more difficult then in any game before..

  • Yeah, but (btw zelda games are GREAT a doing this) there needs to be a dungeon based on the boss (say it's a rock monster it would be an earth temple or such likes) and you need to obtain a tool in that dungeon to help you beat the boss.

And BTW has anyone ever heared the abreviation FOHCL?

  • i was playing a computer game (pokemon tower defence) and to me they make the bosses over powered

  • boss battles are like the most important thing in a game

  • Boss battles are very important cuz they can sometimes describe more of the story in depth

  • i hate boss battles. the only game i like with bosses is zelda

  • @TheClashyyy haha! you're a noob.

  • Well, I mostly play RPGs, and generally speaking boss battles are the only challenging thing about rpgs, so I find they are essential. (before I get shot down with a bunch of contradictions, I DID say 'generally').

  • Depends on the kind of game

  • I think boss battles are pretty important cuz they can be used for backstory and important crap like that.Als o they make the game quite challenging which is why i HATE ANIMAL CROSSING!the fact that its not very exciting and MR RESETTI IS IN IT!

  • where did you get your nintendo ds design? *-*

  • you never gave us your opinion on it??

i personaly think that they quite important. it dosnt even have to be a typical "boss"

i could be just a set piece of a swarm of enemy's, ending with a slightly larger and more powerfull enemy. (an example is in gears of war when there is a locast swarm followed by a couypple of larger Boomers) i think it helps break up the game.

  • almost feel bad I've played about 90% of the story of nintendo on emulators :-( ... about boss battles they are vvvvvvvvvvery important to any game, and they make the game better as long as they are NOT overly hard :-( hasta la vista princesa!!! ;-*

  • Why are there so many hate comments? Jeez!

  • you do m no matter what

  • get off this video just message each other your chat..

  • Comment removed

  • I think boss battles cant make a bad game good but they can make a good game great - or if done poorly make a great game meh... so yeah the are important.

  • I honestly could care less about boss battles. They're nice to have sometimes but I could do without them in most games.

  • @HapasFine And what you suggest for the finale in a game?

  • @ShedowLink Final bosses are ok, but I still really dont care for them.

  • "OMG UR SO HAWT LEWK AT DOSE BEWBS ZOMGZOMGZOMGZOMG I WANNA BANG YA LOLOLOLOLOLOL WHO AGREES WITH MEH THUMBS THIS COMENT UP IF YOU AGREE!"

    Your fanbase in a nutshell.

  • @xBlackxZerox I disagree and your grammar is terrible!

  • @ShedowLink You are so retarded you didn't understand why I typed my comment that way, and so naive and stupid that you actually got mad at my comment.

  • @xBlackxZerox Well, you actually have to know that I can't bear people like you, who mean that they have to write wrong intentionally just to seem cool! This, buddy, is RETARTED! and PATHETIC! not me writing a comment in which I defenitely know what you meant and you're disgusting and mischievious!!!

That should be enough for now!^^

  • @ShedowLink You are so pathetic you resort to stupid psychological stereotypes established by stupid psychiatrists a long ass time ago to present your argument. Oh well, I shouldn't be surprised coming from a stupid fanboy who likes to watch this stupid girl's stuff. BTW, netx time you retort, specially when stressing a word, make sure you spell it right. It's reTARDed, not reTARTed. Bye, pal *insert stupid smiley here to look cool*.

  • @xBlackxZerox (evil laugh) You better not tell me how to spell and your twaddle is totally unnecessary! Be cool, stay at school and let normal people do their business and so on! ;D

  • @ShedowLink If it really was that idiotic, you wouldn't have replied to my comment. Maybe if you learn how to write correctly and stop trying to look cool using stupid stereotypical answers, smileys and "evil laughs" people will take you seriously. Don't worry, I'm just bored out of my mind and spending my time making you mad at a worthless statement coming from a person you don't even know. You're free to move on or stay discussing with a random guy, whatever works best for you.

  • @xBlackxZerox I always forget how much idiots there are in the world, but thanks that you remind me on it!

I just write you back to give you the feeling that at least one person is talking to ya!

  • @ShedowLink I really appreciate it, pal. However, if I really wanted to socialize I would go outside and talk to people IRL. You should keep that in mind. BTW, there's no need to use exclamation marks at the end of your sentences, I'm really aware of how pissed off you are right now.

P.S.: "Idiot" is a countable noun. Therefore, you are to use "many" instead of "much". I.E.: There are many idiots watching this girl's videos like you ShedowLink.

  • @xBlackxZerox I cannot bear with this girl! I hate this videos and this reTARDed girl too! Maybe in this point we're of the same opinion, once!

I'm not willed to talk to you any longer! I am a hard-working man and have no time to deal with pubescent, pompously boys...

  • Yes very important. It adds to the epic feel of the game. Im not saying its necessary to have boss battles, There is some really good games that don't have boss battles like tetris...

you know its actually really hard to think of games that dont have boss battles. But I know there is some out there

but anyway back to what I was saying, bosses add to the story/epicness of the game. look at games like MGS, MGS would be nothing with out its crazy boss battles. even zelda would be incomplete.

  • The Intro... Fantastic!

  • depends on the game

  • Yes they are important. Taking down something of equal or higher strength is very rewarding and challenging. I like emotional boss fights between rivals. Like Solid vs Liquid in Metal Gear Solid 4.

That boss battle was beautiful... At first it looked boring but then after getting a few hits in, Liquid changed into Ocelot's personality and the Snake Eater theme started to play and every powerful hit I made him take was viewed dramatically in slow motion I almost cried to how amazing it was. T.T

  • I think boss battles are pretty important, they give you a sort of indication that your almost completing the level and give you a sense of accomplishment when you do beat them. Especially if you beat a considerably tough boss. Though boss battles shouldn't drag out or it gets boring.(Example of a situation like this is FF12 Yizmat battle. over 51 million hp, takes at least 5 hours to beat him -_- luckily Yiazmat is an optional boss)

  • your eyes are beautiful

  • 0:38, hah, I have that Meowth plushy as well.

  • I'll tell you how important boss battles are, think about mega man or super mario without boss battles you'd pretty much be left with first generation Gauntlet.

  • Three words. Zelda without Gannon.

Sorry if I misspelled his name. I only really said that cause alot of people like the Zelda series. I only like OoT so far.

  • @SymphoniaFan101 If you had'it tried the zelda a link to the past on the snes you should might be another that you like.

  • @RemnantsLastFlame I tried that one and got stuck. Personally, I don't like puzzle games, so that may be a reason I don't like LoZ as much as other people do. But I am borrowing Twilight Princess from a friend and that one is pretty good. I don't understand why people would like Wind Waker, though. The controls are terrible and the ship kills the game.

  • @SymphoniaFan101 WHAT?!! >:/ I thought it was unique to go around pillaging submarines.

  • @frankyagernull It is...if the game is good. ;P And I have OoT 3D. That is probably my fav Zelda game so far.

  • @SymphoniaFan101 Yeah, I have it too. I think they should do something about the art style in Wind Waker. It looks seriously crappy.

  • @frankyagernull Personally, the art style is my favorite thing about that game.

  • @SymphoniaFan101 I didn't play wind waker but zelda twilight princess was prob my fav

  • i think boss battles are the essence of a good game, even portal had a boss battle!

  • one M0:00R TIME!!!9i know its old but come on i always wanted to tyoe that)

  • yes boss battles are important because they make you feel badass while killing and beating them plus try playing Borderlands without the bosses, and it would be kinda boring, or Devil May Cry 4 (did not play it but heard it was good) now that would be dissapointing, but if u dnt beleve me then consider this, look at all ur games with epic boss fight, now take them away, yeah and it also helps with the story, so yeah boss battles are important

  • i want that majoras poster....so bad :(

  • OK I've watched like 5 of your videos in a row now, I'm gonna vote against the intro :S Mind you I change my intros on a monthly basis since I decide they're annoying even to me :P

  • you can talk like chip and dale lol

  • Lol boss boss boss boss boss boss boss boss

  • How do u become a partner to get a banner?

  • @SuperNintendoFanGirl Talk like a chipmunk :P Worked for Fred, seems to work for her too!

  • I'LL GRAB SOME MUSHROOMS ALRIGHT! XD

  • omigosh!! it that a lucky star wallscroll in the background? I LUV LUCKY STAR!!! >3<

  • ARE YOU EMO? very

  • ARE YOU EMO?

  • lol, ADHD at its finest.

  • they are annoying, but in dragonquest 9, they get you extra exp!

  • nice intro

  • hey ppl YO

  • HAHAHAHAHAAAA she blew that kiss at meh D:< back off

    and yea keep the intro

  • Lost Planet series = insane boss battles!!

  • huba huba jk

  • You're a cute chipmunk, NFG.

  • Boss Battles!! You run but you can't hide bowser

  • I don't care what any of you guys say but Shadow Of Th e Colossus is the best game ever!! for the question it depends what type of game it is not all games fit boss battles in well while others make it alot better.

  • I live boss battles they are extremely important!!! Ps I love portable gaming and I also play them when I can't sleep. :-) ^_^ =]

  • i think they are pretty important, with out them, the game would be boring!!

  • i think that boss battles are important but the main games i play dont have bosses exept 4 zelda the othe game is pokemon witch kinda dosent have bosses unless u thing about the pokemon leag or the gyms or the rivals or bad grunts leaders so it depends

  • this is cool. somehow very entertaining. just wondering if your banner is the old one or the new one? It seems to work . simple but full of personality.

  • ¡Hasta la vista!

  • in the link of the video you looked hot but damn sister that intro is just annoying...¬¬

  • how do you become a youtube partner do they deside it?

  • they are important because they callenge your skills

  • Of course they are important. They make most of the challange of a game.

  • Boss battles very important look at the mgs franchise

  • It just depends on how good everything else is in the game. If it's like the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time, then yeah. You need an amazing boss because that place was just a complete fucking nightmare. Unfortunately they didn't really deliver on that one. But if you're talking about games like Fable, then who cares. The bosses in that game are all stupid, but it's the rising action that really matters.

  • pokemon battles gain you EXP. to level up your pokemon!

  • why are the games backwards???

  • Boss battles are important to me because they give you that sense of accomplishment after you get through a dungeon. They give the dungeon more atmosphere; that there is some large evil presence lurking within. Also, they can be very fun to fight and I always enjoy finding out what the boss of a certain dungeon looks like and figuring out how to defeat it. They are part of video game tradition.

  • Sooo i still prefer mega 64

  • yes

  • 4 me the only boss battles that important is from kingdom hearts birth by sleep and kingdom hearts 358/2 days other than that no

  • Boss battles kinda add to the feel of the temple or level or whatever. I could hate that level but if it has a cool boss then it's more awesome. Plus they're fun. More bosses the better.

  • Boss battles are very important because you get some neat items if you win.

  • i was kinda hoping for an invigorating one sided conversation on if boss battles were important :( not a end thought/question

  • ugh

  • you look better with black hair :D

  • How come in the opening the Nintendo Controller is backwards???

  • @Flamingfiredude photo booth/imovie is like a mirror. it sucks. thats why i got a camera for christmas.

  • @NintendoParamore O okay thanks (:

  • who agrees with me nintendo fan girl is hot if u do thumbs up dis comment

  • Oh yea, the bigger the boss fight the better. ^-^

  • HOLY FUC*!! A majora's mask poster, spirit tracks, AND Shadow of the Colossus!?!? I really do love u!

  • I think they're 50% of a good game. 20% storyline, 20% graphics, 10% other; sound, creativity etc.

  • I think boss battles are important for Zelda because it gives the game a lot more story and adventure(:

  • answer: sure!

Would like one with lot of HP, Time to battle/kill the boss: 10-15 min. of fun.... and.... and...... -_- OVER 9000 8D

  • I <3 shadow of the colossus :')

  • ARE BOSS BATTLES IMPORTANT?

    YES!

  • How do you become a Partner

  • @PokeTopic you have to be a weirdo with no life lol

  • @wwefuture01 Cause Every One Is Becoming I Don't Want To Be One I Was Just Wondering How.

  • Boss Battle: The great epic meeting of empassed forces to engage themselves in exhilarating combat. Fought for the betterment their intentions or for the hero to defeat overwhelming challenges that require endurance to achieve greatly, also conveniently prolonging gameplay. Fight to the death is most common in these occurrences. | | So yes I do believe that to be crucial to gameplay ^^

  • dental plan

  • boss battles are important to me because if there were none i wouldn't battle ridley from metroid he's so cool what would happen to metroid with out the best metroid character he my favorite to me but people did think that he killed anthony but he did survive i forgot hot though but nvm about that boss battles are important to me :) (this message will now explode have a nice day) :( oh no

  • NO! DON'T CHANGE IT! I LOVE YOUR BANNER!

  • well im a big gamer i have tons of games for ds,gamecube,N64,nes,Psp,Gameboy advanced,Ps2 and boss battels are super fun like in dragonquest 9 the hexagon or the white knight and in waRIO LAND 4 THE GIRL DRAGON lugi's mansion Giant boo and father ghost and baby ghost and sonic adventure battel 2 i forgot his name but the giant dragon you fight as super sonic.

  • Boss battles? Important. VERY important.

My favorite video game of all time, Metroid prime trilogy, would be no fun without bosses such as

    Quadraxis

    Emperor ing

    Dark Samus

    Metroid prime

    Grapple guardian

    Rundas

    Ridley

    You get the picture.

  • Boss Battles are what make the gaming world equal.

They are the Battles that make you think, "Oh crap." or, "Too easy.".

It's the wall between you and the next world.

    BOSS BATTLES ARE LIFE.

(Yes too deep I know XD)

  • I want that Majora's Mask poster!

  • I remember there being a Megaman Power Battles arcade game. That was based entirely on boss battles too. It was a lot of fun and you got to absorb the bosses' weapons when you defeat them just like in the original game too!!!

  • Boss battles are more important than.....

  • Wait your from Worcester?

  • hey. can I mkae you a bener?

  • I have a DSi XL and I still have my DS Lite that still works... boss battles are important because it makes games more challenging.

  • i love the inrto :p u should always use it :p

  • if i save befor i fight it dose not mater

  • @belacseth Unless you play pokemon.. because legedarys are kinder like bosses.. it sucks when you save infront of a Legendary

  • In pokemon there are like a trillion bosses. (I like ur banner!)

  • silly opening

  • Comment removed

  • @TheSuiteness Fucking Epic Much XD

  • boss battles are the only reason i go through the dungeons and also to get through the game.

  • i cant think of a game where theres not SOME KIND of boss

  • @Andyrolled PONG.

  • @joaovictor1994 ha! thats about it though

  • @Andyrolled not really but whatever xD

  • Boss battles is what makes great games so great :)

  • supah important! Boss battles can make or break a game, so much so that lots of games like shadow of the collosss and monster hunter are super special awesome with just boss battles.

  • Best game ever Shadow of the Colossus

  • i love boss battles thats all i look foward to ina game

  • Well I think that it kind of depends on the quality of the boss battle, i hate when boss battles are too easy, i always loved the organization of the zelda games where you found something after you beat the mini boss and you used that item to kill the boss, and as you progressed through the game, the bosses got harder to beat

  • omg u remind me of my friend sammy .........=( i miss her i wish she never moved love your vids

  • i love your majoras mask poster :D

  • ure awesomez
