i have an older sister... and i welled up at the part where liza and lorna told each other they loved each other because i can see that that sort of love does exist, but i cry when watching this because i know it doesn't exist with me and my own sister, when it should, and that's sad. they are so lucky to have each other and the love that they do and i'm glad they can realize the value of it, because not everyone does.

All those years she never wanted to be known as Judy Garland's daughter or Liza Minnelli's sister but yet she is making money by riding the coat tails of her mother Lorna has no signature song no originality. Lorna's belly aching about not having a career of her own because her mother & sister made it But Judy had the talent & was a legend before Lorna was born. Why complain? I only knew she sang when I saw her in Grease 2...in the scene in the classroom and she just about blew the rest of the cast away...it's great to see this. I was priviledged to have seen Liza and I would love to have seen Lorna. I hope she takes the great Barry Manilow's advice and pursue her singing AND comedic talents.

@lcowles It was because of David, Liza's ex. Lorna talked about that. He told Liza not to see Lorna because they met at a party and Lorna warned David not to mess with her sister and Liza stayed away from Lorna but once her and David got divorced they were back to seeing each other again.

Neither of Judy's daughters had the smooth strong vebrato like Judy. Lorna all but yells her songs and Judy was smart enough to control her technique and start a song and built it up to the climax where she would let go and knock the socks off her audience. Judy was the original and didnt have to compete with any person in her family and she had the most beautiful voice the world had ever known.

These two are so adorable together, loving Judy's tribute to Lorna too. I do feel in some ways, that when Judy passed on, her spotlight was shone straight onto Liza and Lorna was left in the dark, jumping up and down with her hands in the air, wanting so badly what her sister had and she never quite got there. But MAN, you can really really tell that Liza is Judy's daughter, in so many ways, its so striking!

When I was a child, Judy was and icon to me. Her death was tragic, but her two daughters have very similar voices and they carry on the music. What a wonderful legacy. I know they have known incrediblel pain, but at least they have each other and their brother. Having lost my entire birth family 15 years ago, I can only watch with a little jealousy at them because they have each other. How wonderful for them.

It's huge that Garland "arranged" the writing of a \song for her 2nd daughter.

To my mind, both of them are basically trading upon the "fumes" of the mother; it's a fact. But the fact that they traded upon it so wonderfully is to their credit (especially Minnelli).

But I reject their crap that the studio/mother is not to blame for Garland's drug nightmare as a minor.

Judy Garland was murdered--slowly--by adult forces who knew better & afflicted her as a minor, anyhow.

It is wonderful to see them together and with all that love for each other. Love is the greatest wealth in this life. Both are extremely talented and intelligent, but they do not sound as if they have been too happy with their lives. I wish them both the best, and to keep that love for each other and regard.

I met Lorna in LA in 2003 at a restaurant...she was SO nice and real..she gave me ticket's to see TWO of her shows ..for free...The show was Fantastic and that girl can Sang !! Yeah, Sang ...what a show....But in the end, NOBODY< NOBODY can touch Judy's talent ...World's Greatest Entertainer EVER !!! xoxo

Probably no one remembers this but Lorna was in a big show here in London. It was on television. It could even have been early 80's. I remember thinking that she sounded more like her mother than Liza ever did.

i went to go see lorna's show back in 2004...i think...and it was amazing! i seriously teared up when i heard her voice! she sounded just like judy! it was a magical experance that i won't ever forget! and my sweet husband surpised with the tickets and everything! :)

I was so disappointed that I missed out on seeing Lorna when she came to Australia last year, I would have given anything to go. I love this family and I am one of Judy Garland's biggest fans. I just bought my ticket to see Liza when she comes here in October, can't wait :)

I saw "songs my mother taught me" in London a few years ago, at the lovely Savoy theatre...Lorna was more than great but the audience, an awfull saturday matinee bunch of bussed in pensioners and clueless tourists , was a disgrace...anyway, Lorna has such a great voice..she's a bit of a name dropper and has an ego the size of a good big bus...but then hey, who in show business hasn't :-)
