Please, because I am a white male with no Church music experience : Tell me about your chords, inversions, fingerings, and draw-bar settings. Also , are you using a Leslie Speaker ? I see that you stick with Eb and Ab major /pentatonic.. The licks / runs are so very fast. Are there some common progressions/ cadences you use?

This is a nice and common progression. And, when it is put with the pedals and your right hand, it sounds sweet. I'm going to learn this phrase in every key and use this if the spirit leads during a praise.

I like your style sir... Im trying to look at some clips that I can send to some of my young guys around our community that come ova to our church-- we let the young kats play so they can become more experience. So I tell them to learn hymns (important) me being COGIC.. we sing alot of hymns, or I try to before I preach and I teach them to follow me in C#- Eb- then Ab---- it just depends B at time... preaching styles-- but man I enjoyed this.

Man im in sacramento cali. We got a few thats good. Reverend Preston Hall over at Macedonia, Kenny Kinsey at Mount Calvary. He is the best in the city! But the organ is not the defining sound in the church though!

I mean out in california, some of these stupid churches took the organ out of the church and they have a keyboard and a piano. How stupid is that?

yea I'm sure alot of churches what the lastest "new" stuff, so they take out the organs, and put keyboards that can mimic them, but it never gives the original sound though

@cdesha1118 I know some churches here in indianapolis dont have hammonds so to solve that im getting a yamaha Motif ES6 it has and organ on it that sounds just like a hammond.It even has drawbars to customize your sound and a modulation wheel to give u that good ol hammond vabrato the sounds Is called fully or gospel organ but its been awhile since i played one so since they cant provide the hammond sound for me im going to bring the hammond sound to them.

my God! your awesome! I wanna learn to play like this...I'm currently workin on the basic praise break on the piano (and organ) in Gm...but I've been wantin to learn preacher chords foreva!
