Saddam was a socialist and Bin Laden is an advent opposer of any socialistic ideas. He even called him an infidel. It's our involvement that caused a lot of the problems in the Middle East. Helping the Taliban against the communists, Saddam against Iran, and getting rid of Saddam which just let Al Qaeda into Iraq. Yea, we're really there for the right reasons. Get rid of our immediate threat then blame another group to attack.
