  • @hond4sh I've seen the Whitesnake version and it's incredible. If only Glenn Hughes was singing with David on that one. Black Country Communion does a great version of it too.

  • Jorn cover FOR ME!, is better.

  • LIXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DA POORRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • @hond4sh I know he didn't play on the original track, but he played the track with Deep Purple when they actually played the song live and he is dead, hence why he's rolling in his grave.

  • No Organ solo? Instantly makes this cover no good... Js

  • Björn "Speed" Strid – vocals (1995–present) no female

  • God awful fake grunge singing.

  • great cover, but the snare reminds me St. Anger

  • God awful. A disgrace to a masterpiece. Tommy Bolin is rolling in his grave.

  • @MidwestMidnight Richie Blackmore would puke if he heard this disgrace.

  • With all my respect, but... this fails in almost every aspect. The idea might have been good, but the performance is utterly terrible. Growling and rasping should never be a way to mask awful singing. You must first learn to sing, then learn to growl. It just doesn't happen like that.

  • @Sodanlaulu this guy can sing. just listen to let this river flow

  • Upropastise pjesmu..

  • anyone noticed this is all but Soilwork??? ;)

  • Jorn ,version is better.

  • Instrumentals are nice, not my pref for vocals though. Still appreciate a dedicated effort by Soilwork to do the song justice.

  • Wow....this is complete crap!!

  • @TheGrabsplatter I agree with you Blackers is the Master Deep Purple forever

  • horrible they took one of the best songs ever an ruined it.

  • an example of how to destroy a song

  • Oh and not anybody can growl :P It takes lots and lots of practice to make it sound like it does, his pitch isn't changing like a boy going through puberty, and he's able to sing like that for an extended period of time without damaging his vocal chords. On top of the fact that he can sing high vocals like a saint.

  • Calm down, if you do not like metal then you should have left as soon as you heard the vocals begin. Bjorn Strid is amazing at singing as well as growling. Just because this genre of music doesn't appeal to you doesn't mean you're a God and your opinion is fact. Get off your high horse and realize there is no right or wrong in musical taste. Soilwork's been my favorite band for almost 5 years now. Had never heard this song before. To be honest it doesn't sound much like Soilwork but I like a lot

  • Part 1. : This is simply complete shit at its best. Finest Quality garbage. People who like this kind of singing are sick.

Part 2. : WOW. What a wonderful, charming, tasteful, sensitive Version of this great song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Part 3.: I*m very impressed. REALLY.

  • I respect Soilwork, but this is garbage.

  • Vocals are rubbish......any moron can growl.

  • @purfektstranger wow, can u?

  • @ytsuxalot Yes but I prefer to sing...because singing actually takes vocal ability.

  • i actually prefer this version 0_o

  • como matan una canción

  • This is fucking ridiculous. Horrible cover.

  • this cover fuckin blew balls// they didnt do a good job on the solos at all. thats the best part of the song/// shit cover!!

  • It would be fine if it wasn't for the screaming. It's fine with some covers but it just doesn't mix with this song well. The drums are an excellent rearrangement though.

  • I love me some Soilwork, but no. Listen to the Wasp cover if you want a good cover of Burn.

  • @crapass666 Jorn did this much better!

  • This is crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....

  • Oh good... Poor Coverdale!

  • I have to say, I appreciate them covering this fantastic song, and I love soilwork, but this is absolute shit. Metal and classic rock do not go good, just like with KsE's dio cover.

  • @monkeytiger2142 KSE did an amazing version of the Dio classic, they even made the video like the original. Classic Rock transcribed to Metal covers don't always work, but you can't use KSE as an example.

  • strid has a great clean voice and yet he sounds like alexi laiho from children of bodom trying to sing

love the original, but this clearly sucks in comparison, especially the female singer

    guitars are nice though

  • I like Soilwork, but they effing slaughtered this song...i know the singer has a good singing voice. If he had only tried using it instead of sounding like man trying to squeeze a crap out ^^

  • Speed's vocals are at their worst ever here.

  • 叫びすぎで笑った。

  • Im not saying it better, but i like this version as well.

  • the original >>>>>>>> this one

  • soilwork >>>>>>>>> every other band

    see what i did there

  • Well, children, come on, why compare bands that you can't compare, it's just a matter of taste and uppinion.

Don't make such a fuzz about something that's not even a big deal.

Deep Purple made Burn, Soilwork liked Burn, so they made a cover out of it.

One should know that covers are just tributes to music that inspired this band to go and play metal.

Wel i'm glad to say i like both versions.

But to start a yes, no discussion about this, that's just childish.

  • @kissarmy305 Finally, intelligence. Lol. pretty much my view on covers down to a tee.

  • @kissarmy305

haha you are right on. I wish more people had common sense like you!

  • @ffhk1 Yeah, being a fag.

  • zeetoxxx: been wondering that myself since i heard this came out :O

  • Deep Purple is better

  • No one's saying Soilwork version is better.

  • Reminds me of the covers Sodom makes. Awesomeness!

  • Great cover ;) Anybody knows who is female vocalist here?

  • @ZeeToxXx If you find out who it is PM me, I've looked for hours before.

  • @ZeeToxXx

Jennifer Badtoft, From Höganäs Sweden :)

//Jimmy 'Judas' Persson (Former drummer of soilwork, currently guitarrist in Faithful Darkness)

  • i dont like it

  • i dont like it either.

  • good cover, but ian paice drumming could never be imitated...

  • No, it is overruled with fucking ownage

  • zajebisty cover !!!!!!

  • i like it. definately not as dynamic as the deep purple version, but still good

  • thanks for the upload

    amazing cover version

    soilwork is the best !!!!

  • You're quite welcome, and yes Soilwork is awesome.
