Getting idiot drivers off the road should be the priority and the insinuation that bicycle helmets provide adequate protection in collisions with motor vehicles creates more danger than idiot drivers do.
Vancouver already has a helmet law for bicyclists. I suppose the next thing will be a helmet law for pedestrians. That way when a speeding SUV runs a red light and kills me while I'm crossing the street, the news announcer describing the fatal collision can say "The pedestrian was NOT wearing a helmet" thereby implying that somehow the accident was my fault.
Of all the bicycle helmet safety videos this was the best I could find for my three young girls: Now it is not available... Hopefully this is only temporary... :((
