Hi Jack, I understand your opinion. Once, as Prof, I was told by a more senior colleague that we don't teach THAT, because "that" was not in use in the public market. I immediately countered because the students were unlikely to see THAT in the public forum, it was compulsory for us to teach THAT in their educational forum. All I am saying is let's not let commerical mandates dictate all that we do. I view Trans as something needing to be done ... and considering he was sued, same with R&R.

One of the great things about Neil Young is that he has never rested on his laurels, and has tried new things and experimented.
The down side of it is stuff like Trans, - it's unlistenable in my opinion, and is generally considered to be his worst-ever album.
Although the rock n roll album wasn't too good either!

Trans didn't sell well, but that's not what I'm judging it by, I just don't like it.
Good for Bozz that they're not just covering Cinnamon Girl, Like A Hurricane, Southern Man etc.
It's all about individual opnions in the end, Neil may well have needed to do an album like Trans, just as much as I didn't need to listen to it!
He's still a legend and one of my favourite all-time artists though.
