I saw this bird in new york city [in the botanical garden] idk if i was put there or not but it was in a cherry blossom tree in the japanese hill and pond garden, i felt so special that i saw it it was beautiful
Yes the Oriole is very shy indeed,every time i pointed a camera at them they stepped back into the shadows of the trees.Very frustrating but a joy to watch and just recently i discovered they have a sOO sOO call when they are chasing other Oriole's.
I saw these birds in Bulgaria! Their fluite like songs are the best! Sadly this didn't sing that way :( It's so beautiful

@FanGirl182 Not native to North America. New World Orioles- Icteridae
Old world orioles- Oriolidae
You may have seen a male Baltimore Oriole if it was rather orangish or a female if it was yellow and the black plumage was subdued.
