  • Dam could that kick drum be any louder ya think????

  • He was the guitar player for superswamp heroes. (my dads band) and I knew him for a couple of years until the band broke up then he moves witch was very sad for me cause he was a nice guy.

  • If this is the same steve senes ia m think of...aout 20 years ago, he plyed in a band called "HAVOC" based in the thern virginia area.

They guy was great bac thn and jut got better.

  • hmmm, let me see if I can find something wrong to comment on so I can sound cool. Oppps, nothing. this guy can play anything.......

  • dudeee i was fucking there!!! mind blowing all the other guitarists that year except for like maybe 2 sucked

  • I met this guy at the house of blues in Myrtle Beach lastnight, and hes a great player! lol, I wasnt expecting someone of this stature but It happened.

  • Excellent sounding guitar & excellent playing! negative comments are made by ROOKIES who dont even KNOW what they are listening to......... (keep practicing)

  • To the Haters: When you can post a link to YOU doing a better job, do so. Until then, shut the fuck up - you're nothing but a bedroom wanker like me, (at best.)

  • Very talented, but i figure in these competitions originality would be a big factor.

Being a guitarist and having heard alot of professional guitarist

there nothing original here. Like i said very talented, but how many guitarists

does he sound like? Side bar whoever's running around hinting that john mayer is the new king of the blues should be slapped HARD!

  • @negadon80 I'm thinking that since this is an original Steve Senes tune, that would count for some originality, right? But just because his influences show through in his playing, it doesn't mean that he's just a copy of other guys. The cat plays a ton of different styles and nails all of them. Don't be so hasty to judge based on this one video. And maybe enter one of these contests and see how you stack up. You, know, so you won't have to "figure" what the criteria is.

  • @jelswick2 Aw are you mad? lol. Look This guy can get lost in a

million guitar players, Again Nothing unique about him, doesnt stand

out at all. He may be playing his own song, but he still sounds like other

already established players, Just recycled riffs. Look Its a dead issue.

its not like he's gonna be the next great guitar hero. Thats reserved for john mayer.

Please dont bother, Ill just ignor you. Get a life.

  • @negadon80 I guess it's too much to hope that you'll take a break from your Justin Beiber "My World Acoustic" listening session to have a grown up conversation. Maybe after "Never Say Never" is over you could enlighten us: who the best (or in your world "most original") guy out there. I'm not saying Senes is the best there is, but certainly not the hack you say he is. Or you could just try to be cool and insult me again. Whatever does it for you Skippy. Or just go play some handball.

  • @negadon80 haha john mayer......ha!

  • This just don't do it for me, especially when he moves into the major scale at 1.50. Very rough and unpleasant transition. Must not have been much competition that year.

  • this guy kicks ass and those ain't crap guitars , damn hatters he sounds like gary moore, vinny moore, john sykes,a lil' slash a lil' yngwee hear and there.if you can do any better go for it! they have this contest once year- and i bought one of those ltd guitars because of this clip!

  • Those guitars are crap...but he can play! I hate the shred stuff though...very overrated and in one ear...out the other. He should stick to the slower melodic stuff.

  • Great tone, but shitty vibrato

  • Sounds like george lynch...he should maybe get more of his own style...

  • his vibrato reminds me of yngwie :)

    very good playing

  • sweet and tasty!!!

  • That was really cool up until the end where he thought emulating Yngwie would be a good idea -- well it wasn't. Compared to the other competitors my guess would be the structure and predominately the melody of his song that gave him 1st place, not fast noodling. Good player, but I haven't heard any original guitarists since the 80's. Being technically proficient doesn't necessarily make for interesting music or interesting playing. Melody, phrasing and vibrato are the most important aspects.

  • hey what about Yngwie,Rusty Cooley, Vinnie Moore, ...right!!!!!!!!

  • was he playing that to the backing track of " knight rider"??

  • holy shit calm doon min

  • the only thing I like here is the hums.
