if it can be found on the Korean Starmax 2-disc , then why is it japanese writing. I'm not trying to ba smart, i just want to know. Please don't take offensively. I mean, is it japanese music on a Korean station or what?
No worries - simply, the movie is in Japanese. I simply noted that my source is from the Korean release of the film. There might have been Korean subs for Koreans to understand the Japanese text, but I left those out.
Kawada's Theme. On my CD, it's named "Winner of Sorrow," but the track title varies depending on the source (Last time I checked, it was only out in France and Japan).
I love Battle Royale so much. I haven't seen it in about 3 months but within a year I have seen it at least 2 dozen times. It is my all time favorite movie and I love the sound track.
I only have the first song, that they play, on my ipod. I need to get the rest when I get a new hard drive.
I get goosebumps every time I hear the soundtrack. Definitely worth the $30 for the import CD. Thank you for posting this. I think the music definitely enhances a very good (but violent) film.

Indeed so - they are also a well respected group for performances of classical music, away from film and television. Their discography is extensive. However, the fact remains that largely they are used because they're cheap, and you get the benefit of an excellent performing group with a classical background, for not very much money. Thank God they're around, or film / television music would be a much poorer environment.
so, you think that a korean film can only be worked on by korean ppl, and an European one only be Europeans etc?
How would you feel if someone told you "sorry, you might be the best suited orchestra for this job, but you're not korean/american*black/European/Chinene/Japanese/Native American/an alien so piss off"?
This is the exact opposite of racism. The korean director must have chosen the Warsaw orchestra because he considered them the best suited.
Warsaw has historically been a destination of internal and foreign immigration, especially from E-Europe. (...) As much as 20% of its population being either Jewish Poles or foreign born. WW2 changed all of this, and to this day there is much less ethnic diversity.
!Most of the modern day population growth is based on internal migration and urbanization.! (source: wiki)
MOST OF THE PEOPLE IN WARSAW ARE INTERNAL IMMIGRANTS AND EASTERN EUROPEANS.
This is nonsense. Firstly, Yellowfellow - YOU are being racist - and furthermore, a misinformed idiot, suggesting only Japanese folk should work on a Japanese film. Everybody else here is talking common sense.
Secondly, the reason the Warsaw orchestra was contracted is purely a FINANCIAL desicion. It costs the producers about 1/4 as much to record in Eastern Europe than it would in Japan or another country. For God's sake, become educated before making moronic comments.
wow, insulting my intelligence really made me sad :(
Ok,"Firstly", why the fuck do you even think they have classical music in this movie?
ask yourself reasonably.
then remember that japan lost world war 2 and their entire culture became greatly influenced by western countries, because, essentially, they were forced to.
now i see that your profile says you're from the UK. and even if you aren't, do you think that makes you the least bit bias towards the ideology of your country?
Well, reguarding your first post, 'wow wtf why did they employ so many white people fucking racists they dont even like their own kind ' I think we have every right to insult your intelligence.Instead of expressing your opinion properly, you choose such a pathetic way, your probaly uneducated. Not to mention on your profile 'Interests and Hobbies: SHIT Movies and Shows: SHIT Music: sheet Books: ASS HOOOOOOOLE' I guess you are an immature moron.

LOL and i liked how you said "probaly" uneducated. HAHAHA

This isn't about the war nor with Japan's alleged Westernisation. Please, stop shouting racist and enjoy this film and music for what it is. Peace. :)

I love this film and its soundtrack. One of the best soundtracks ever made. My favourite tracks are "Game start", "Slaughters", "Battle of Girls", "Teacher and students, final battle" and "Aria from orchestral suite nº3"
With the voices is actually a differant track on the Soundtrack, titled "Student vs Teacher - Final Battle". But I agree, the vocal version is better.

NO, lol, trust me. I have personally played Verdi's Requiem... Twice.. and have conducted it... I really would know what it sounds like... The second song is just Battle Royale theme song.
The song in the film is called Requiem/Prologue (as it says in the video info), which goes straight from Dies Irae into Prologue, and the 2nd song in this video is just after that segue.
Man I love this song but I want the oringinal song from the movie that one was better cuz it had those people like sing or somthing but anyway if you get the chance could you put the orinigal song please thanks!
i think the one you're thinking of is called 'teacher and students - final battle'. Its the choir thing that uses the melody from the bitter victory thing.

i think the one you're thinking of is called 'teacher and students - final battle'. Its the choir thing that uses the melody from the bitter victory thing.

Thanks for uploading this. Battle Royale is my favourite film, it has been for four or five years, and the soundtrack is one of the reasons.
