  • Aperfectfailyour #48 Dead

( I got the backpack with a fucking spork and bag of wet noodles.)

  • if it can be found on the Korean Starmax 2-disc , then why is it japanese writing. I'm not trying to ba smart, i just want to know. Please don't take offensively. I mean, is it japanese music on a Korean station or what?

  • No worries - simply, the movie is in Japanese. I simply noted that my source is from the Korean release of the film. There might have been Korean subs for Koreans to understand the Japanese text, but I left those out.

  • thank you

  • Wow, Kawada's theme is so tragic, and so is his story.

  • Full of thought and emotion .

I like Battle Royale ,and it s music .

  • profesor Mirosław Pokrzywiński - klarnet

  • @TCFWooDo Profesor się chwalił, że gra dla japończyków? :)

  • I liked the part where there was music.

  • @ZippyRagu I lieked that one part where the guy was playing the instruments

  • 6:30 = Ahhhhh the BEST VERSION of Air in D Major, that I've ever heard. I lost my DVD so I'll settle with this for now. LOVE IT! thanks for posting.

  • its good but definitely not the best d major by some distance

  • Does anybody know the name of the song between 3:15 & 5:30?

  • Kawada's Theme. On my CD, it's named "Winner of Sorrow," but the track title varies depending on the source (Last time I checked, it was only out in France and Japan).

  • Thanks for the reply!

  • I love Battle Royale so much. I haven't seen it in about 3 months but within a year I have seen it at least 2 dozen times. It is my all time favorite movie and I love the sound track.

I only have the first song, that they play, on my ipod. I need to get the rest when I get a new hard drive.

  • i love The Thrid Man it's such a beautiful piece

  • Is Cool

  • what is the name of the song at 6:30 please ?

  • that would be Air from Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D Major, by Johann Sebastian Bach

  • @pacificlife777 "Air" Suite N 3. Johann Sebastian Bach

  • I like kawadas theme.thats my favorite

  • I get goosebumps every time I hear the soundtrack. Definitely worth the $30 for the import CD. Thank you for posting this. I think the music definitely enhances a very good (but violent) film.

  • kawadas theme is my favorite.

i love battle royale but its true that it would be nothing without its soundtrack. =]

  • Wow...I love Shinji's theme! It's so awesome. Actually, all the songs are, I only have one I didn't really like, but that's just me.

  • People mention Verdi, Strauss and Bach, but forget about Schubert. Lol.

  • this is so beautiful thank you!

  • the music some times reminds me of some themes in anime lol

  • I love the last song.

  • watch zushoo's battle royale series

  • OMG...damn so nice, love this video so much!!!

    btw,thank 4 sharing this video~

  • AWESOME.

  • Awesomely beautiFULL!!! yeah...

  • So beautiful, I like the first song best

  • my gosh! this is sooo great! amazing orchestra and film composer...! I had goosebumps almost all the way....!

  • can you upload all the extra bits in the movie please? i would love to see tham, that'd be class, because i cant get the special edition over here:(

  • Beautiful, absolutely magnificent. What a prefect bland of original composition and classical music in a epic albeit controversial movie.

Thank you so much for sharing!

  • why dont you just stop arguing? I dont even know what its about, i dont intend to, but comments is for commenting on the video, not arguing. If you want to argue go on some forum somewhere on the flame part of the board. And i dont want to be involved in this, so if you involve me ill ignore it.

On the video, i think its nice but i havent seen Battle Royale because im too young and i dont like gore very much!

  • it's not really that bad

  • yeh....apart from where someone gets the head cut off ¬_¬ apart from that doesnt seem too bad

  • Very very very..nice..great........

  • dont argue over the orchestra, just listen to the music ppl.

  • Poland Warsaw orchestra group is a special group that works for Japanese anime, game and movies.

They are famous because of that in Japan.

  • Indeed so - they are also a well respected group for performances of classical music, away from film and television. Their discography is extensive. However, the fact remains that largely they are used because they're cheap, and you get the benefit of an excellent performing group with a classical background, for not very much money. Thank God they're around, or film / television music would be a much poorer environment.

  • um, you know how much a band that huge costs?

  • FUCKING STAY QUITE. this is beatiful music, go fight on some other video.

  • learn to spell

  • sure*

  • I'm quite shure that the majority of people in Poland are white...

  • dude wtf are u talking about

    this is a Japanese film

why the hell are u talking about poland

  • t contains selected segments of music performed by the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by the film's composer, Masamichi Amano.

    by the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra,

    Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra,

    Warsaw

  • so, you think that a korean film can only be worked on by korean ppl, and an European one only be Europeans etc?

How would you feel if someone told you "sorry, you might be the best suited orchestra for this job, but you're not korean/american*black/European/Chinene/Japanese/Native American/an alien so piss off"?

This is the exact opposite of racism. The korean director must have chosen the Warsaw orchestra because he considered them the best suited.

  • Warsaw has historically been a destination of internal and foreign immigration, especially from E-Europe. (...) As much as 20% of its population being either Jewish Poles or foreign born. WW2 changed all of this, and to this day there is much less ethnic diversity.

!Most of the modern day population growth is based on internal migration and urbanization.! (source: wiki)

MOST OF THE PEOPLE IN WARSAW ARE INTERNAL IMMIGRANTS AND EASTERN EUROPEANS.

And how many black/yellow E-European do you know?

  • -.-'

    now that's what I call ignorance :D

  • whats your ethnicity.

  • My mistake, I knew it was Japanese (even read the book), but read korean, and accidentally wrote it down.

  • This is nonsense. Firstly, Yellowfellow - YOU are being racist - and furthermore, a misinformed idiot, suggesting only Japanese folk should work on a Japanese film. Everybody else here is talking common sense.

Secondly, the reason the Warsaw orchestra was contracted is purely a FINANCIAL desicion. It costs the producers about 1/4 as much to record in Eastern Europe than it would in Japan or another country. For God's sake, become educated before making moronic comments.

  • wow, insulting my intelligence really made me sad :(

Ok,"Firstly", why the fuck do you even think they have classical music in this movie?

    ask yourself reasonably.

then remember that japan lost world war 2 and their entire culture became greatly influenced by western countries, because, essentially, they were forced to.

now i see that your profile says you're from the UK. and even if you aren't, do you think that makes you the least bit bias towards the ideology of your country?

  • Well, reguarding your first post, 'wow wtf why did they employ so many white people fucking racists they dont even like their own kind ' I think we have every right to insult your intelligence.Instead of expressing your opinion properly, you choose such a pathetic way, your probaly uneducated. Not to mention on your profile 'Interests and Hobbies: SHIT Movies and Shows: SHIT Music: sheet Books: ASS HOOOOOOOLE' I guess you are an immature moron.
  • i like how you say "we" like you are a part of some "non-racist" group or something... lol

and i think its rather funny that you are dumb enough to make assumptions from my profile that i think is in fact funny, but you just think its somehow linked to lack of intelligence, and why??? i bet you cant even explain it. :D

LOL and i liked how you said "probaly" uneducated. HAHAHA

    thats classic man...

  • Apparently,do you think a mature adult would make such stupid descriptions on their profile? Of course its linked to your lack of intelligence!

Grow up and get a proper job.

You think its funny?people will think you are an idoit.

Oh,and please learn to type proper sentences and punctuation.I feel as if im talking to a 12 year old.

And i take back the 'probaly',you are very much uneducated.

  • Good arguement!???

Oh please, yellowfellow dont make me quote your first post.

  • Im sorry,i refuse to have an argument with someone who expresses their opinion in such a stupid manner.

mysmallpets has answered your question a long time ago so please shut the fuck up.

And cant you tell everyone rates down your previous posts,no one is backing you up and 4 people have gone against you?

time to realise that you are making a fool of yourself.

  • Do us all a favour and shut the fuck up.

  • I think we should have a majority vote-

All who think this yellowfellow is a brainless tit say I

  • With respect, I wasn't insulting your intelligence - merely commenting that your stance suggested that you had none. If this is untrue, I apologise. Classical music is in this film because that was the director's choice. Most motion pictures have orchestral scores, and Royale's composer has a reputation for including classical music in his music. This isn't about the war nor with Japan's alleged Westernisation. Please, stop shouting racist and enjoy this film and music for what it is. Peace. :)

  • and they put people on the island EVERY WEEK i thought it was every year at first. sad...

  • 40 classes per year, 3 days so they're there 120 days per year 0_o add the days for them to clean-up the corpses and that's rund 180 days

  • ahh, but, NAIEMelody,

    1. in the book, it's not 3 days, it's when no one is killed for a full 24 hours.

    2. Only 1 class participates in it.

    hmm...

  • i have to buy or try to download the Battle Royale soundtrack, i have watched this video like 20 times, the music so good. thanks again for posting this.

  • God I didnt know it was recorded by The Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra! It makes me proud i am one too!:+)And i love asians too!

  • so good, thanks

  • I fucking loved this film... It was so brutally cruel, but such a brilliant idea for a truly monumental film!

  • The background song was 'Auf dem Wasser zu singen', a lieder by Schubert.

  • what is the name of the background song when Hiroki spoke to a dying chigusa?

  • Aw they didn't show the part of Third Man with the Kiriyama theme.

  • i love programming with this music as the background

  • wait I spoke too soon lol... more like about 30-35

  • No, about 70-75.

  • how many piece orchestra you reckon that is? Looks like about.. mmm... 25 people?

  • I will say the book is better than the movie because it explains a lot more than in the movie, but I wish I had this music while I was reading it. Great video.

  • "Teacher and Student final battle" and "Bitter Victory" r the best.

  • The Movie made so many wonderful songs. There all so great.

  • by the way dude thanks for uploading... this really feels good! ;p

    i really enjoy it!

  • the first ive heard them was on suikoden 2... i really got amaze with the songs of that game... its really good and relaxing... takes away stress.. good job to warsaw philharmonic.. your making people feel more human.. = ) i hope the terrorist would hear it! ;p

  • omg...shivers down my spine! this is awesome...thanks!

  • Air from Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D Major is the best song of the film.

  • which one of the songs is this!!!?!?!!?? is it requiem????

  • my dads friend is awesome for composing this <3

  • I love this film and its soundtrack. One of the best soundtracks ever made. My favourite tracks are "Game start", "Slaughters", "Battle of Girls", "Teacher and students, final battle" and "Aria from orchestral suite nº3"

  • Hey thanks for this man, I loved the music in the film

  • ya does anyone wanna send me the link to the vocal one

i love that one so much

when i saw the movie for the 1st time

just the song made me want to cry!

    plzzzzz i want it!

  • 1:25 scared me!

  • The very first bit of music is fantastic when they do it with voices.

  • With the voices is actually a differant track on the Soundtrack, titled "Student vs Teacher - Final Battle". But I agree, the vocal version is better.

  • That was good.

Shame they never did Kiriyama's theme.

  • 6:40... Mitsuko :(

  • indeed :(

  • She had it coming. But her last line... :( That was sad.

  • thank you so much for sharing this!!!!

  • Marchy and Walzy!!! Hurray!!!

  • where can i get the first song that plays?

  • in what part of the movie apear this song???

  • Which song?

  • the first one

  • At the very start when Noriko goes into the classroom and kitanos there

  • oh yeah i remember now, thanks :D

  • "Air" is beautiful.

  • I have an intense dislike for the Radetsky March. I always cringe when I hear it, and, thus, it's my least favorite part of the soundtrack and score of this film.

    Kawada's Theme is absolutely beautiful.

  • The Radetsky March isn't too bad, though.

    Full of gusto!

    Why don't you like it?

  • I think it's just a general dislike for marches. However, I do tend to associate the Radetzky March with annoying clapping and foot stomping from the audience, usually in poor sync with the song.

  • But this version, with the unsynchronized clapping missing, is better, no?

  • Only slightly.

As I said, I have a general dislike for marches.

  • I agree with you there, on both things...although I'd hardly call my dislike 'intense.'

  • I just bought the soundtrack and it was well worth the $30. I love how they mixed classical music with new classic. It gives me chills when I hear it. Verdi's Requiem is on the soundtrack, it's the first track. The Game Begins is rather spine-tingling.

  • Damn I wasn't going to watch that 3rd DVD (supplement) but now I HAVE TO! >( DARN IT!

  • This is so beautiful.

  • asians rocks!

  • Dang less whites more asians

  • what's wrong with asians, I myself am one.

  • I SAID MORE ASIANS!!!! I AM ASIAN TOO

  • whats wrong with whites?

  • Yes, because there are TONNES of Asian people in Poland! Your so smart!!!

  • Whoa. This is the soundtrack to that crazy japanese movie where almost everybody dies?

  • Battle Royale and its soundtrack - two of a kind, and such a perfect match, too!

  • WHOA!! never noticed how cool kawadas theme was THANKS 4 THAT

  • violence and gentle sounds dont get along

  • in the right scenes they do

  • Can't you hear Verdi's Requiem at the very start of BR, and I don't think thats in this recording.

  • Battle royale 1 is much more better than 2. And do any body know where to play the DVD of battle royale.

  • thank you so much for posting this, you have no idea.

  • This is my all time favoire movie. It litterally changed my life. GOd this is fantastic. If anyone knows of a fan club or something please email me pcsfbillabong@yahoo.commmmmm I love this movie and its amazing soundtrack. A movie that will live with me forever. PLEASE EMAIL ME IF ANY OF U HAVE ANY CONNECTIONS!

  • DAMN that was great. Freakin huge sound stage!!!! omg

  • Impressive

  • me like

  • Fantastic, They fit in so well with the movie...

  • The music just gives me chills whenever I hear it. When its in the movie... god... it just all fits perfectly... I love BRI/II...

  • Nah the first one has a better soundtrack. Its amazing but Wild seven declare war is an awesome track.

  • mmm... i have both movies, tgey rock! but i consider br 2´s OST better than BR´s

  • true but with the movie it's the otjher way around isn't it?

  • I didn't hear Verdi's requiem...

  • it was there. 2nd thing they played I think.

  • NO, lol, trust me. I have personally played Verdi's Requiem... Twice.. and have conducted it... I really would know what it sounds like... The second song is just Battle Royale theme song.

  • The song in the film is called Requiem/Prologue (as it says in the video info), which goes straight from Dies Irae into Prologue, and the 2nd song in this video is just after that segue.

  • Okay, but no Verdi is heard in this video... Lets just get that clear.

  • *clapZ* nice nice

  • Man I love this song but I want the oringinal song from the movie that one was better cuz it had those people like sing or somthing but anyway if you get the chance could you put the orinigal song please thanks!

  • i think the one you're thinking of is called 'teacher and students - final battle'. Its the choir thing that uses the melody from the bitter victory thing.

  • when was this played in the movie?

  • my favourite is the Lighthouse scene with the War of the Girls song

  • lovely.

  • a guy was crying in at a apart lol anyway me a big battle royal fan

  • Thanks for uploading this. Battle Royale is my favourite film, it has been for four or five years, and the soundtrack is one of the reasons.

  • These songs are great! Thanks for uploading it!

  • omg i love this so much..

    battle royale music rocks

  • La música es celestial...

  • Wonderful songs :D
