  • i enjoyed this vid

  • good work here

  • Seads of peace in space must be spread, not war

  • да

  • 150 000 000 000 € wtf !?

  • Energy source that powers earth really futuristic

  • Russia won the space race when the shuttle program ended.

  • @lolcats121 No. The Soviets lost it when they gave up on the moon. Russia was never in the space race. The US has just as much space faring capability as the Russians do today.

Russia never develops any new manned spacecraft, so when the US temporarily stops launching manned spacecraft there is always some yahoo out there saying "we lost the space race". Then we revolutionize it while the Russians keep throwing that same archaic tin can into the sky.

  • @monokhem Successful troll is completely successful.

Oh btw the shuttle was cancelled because NASA thought the Ares-1 and Ares-V would replace it. But guess what; they both got CANCELLED because America is totally bankrupt. Enjoy living in America when the bottom totally falls out of the dollar and martial law is enforced. Good luck with the SLS rocket.

  • @lolcats121 Stupid device makes writer look stupid.

They Cancelled the Shuttle because of Columbia, not Ares.

Only the ignorant think the US is bankrupt. Of course you fit well in that group promoting the assumption that the SLS is the only Rocket the US is working on.

  • @monokhem Sorry to butt in, whats this obsession with the moon? it will be forgotten as soon as man starts landing on other planets like mars. But who will forget the first satellite, first man, first woman, first animal first spacewalk. These milestones can never be broken again ever. You love the flying coffins that are the shuttles.Tell me when did the USSR and now Russia lost a man in their space program last? How many Americans have died since then?

  • @ranlaen I doubt the Apollo program will be forgotten. It is responsable for the most famous picture in history. The world saw man land on the moon live on TV. It was one of humanities first shared expiriences, and you can find people deep in the bush of Brazil who know who Neil Armstrong and Buzz Adrine are, but have never heard of the US or USSR (not hyperbole).

  • @ranlaen You forgot First Docking, but that doesn't matter because people have already forgotten most of those. Gagarin would have been a bigger deal if Shepherd hadn't gone up a month later. If the US had been as careless with its pilots as the USSR (Shepherd was the first to pilot a spacecraft) he would have been first. If the USSR had made it to the moon a month after the US it wouldn't have been a big deal that we beat them.

  • @monokhem USSR and Now Russia are careless about its pilots? don't make me LOL.What a joke.Tell me when did the Russians last lost a man in space and how many Americans had died since then. You are lost in you egomania and have no link to reality. The Russians may have and probably are still pointing nukes at me but I will not hide the fact that when it comes to space they take a more practical approach and get better result.

  • @ranlaen Funny you ask it that way, because the Russians have lost three men in space and the US hasn't lost any. If you would like to talk about vehical faliers in and out of earths atmopheres the US has lost exacly 3 times as many americans, but they have flown more than three times as many into space. That is a superior success rate.

This isn't about ego, it's about reality and your dissasociation from it.

The US has had much better results in space than the Russians.

  • @ranlaen So the Russians burned some dogs alive, that doesn't impress me. Niether does throwing some woman in the sky as a stunt. Your trying to pretend the first Moonwalk is less important than the first spacewalk? What a joke. The Things you guys tell yourselves to feal supperior.

The Soyuz has had just as many fatal crashes as the shuttle, and many more crashes over all. Only one of the Shuttle loses was even the equipments fault. The other was mission control's.

  • way too outdated

  • Why is NASA attached to ISS in your title? Its international with many countries having modules attached.More over, everything that keeps the ISS in orbit is Russian, ever some of NASA owned ones are Russian made.

  • @ranlaen Not true at all. Russia provides a fraction of what the space station needs. Most of the supplies up there now got there on the shuttle. Most of the replacements will come from non Russian craft.

  • @monokhem I bey you pardon? The first module Zarya was build by Russia but paid for by NASA.even the name remained Russian.it is the main module of the station.zvezda is the living area etc etc. so please please check who and what is owned by each country. The Russians held all the space station technology.US when for shuttles abandoning space stations ages ago before the ISS.Give credit where it is due

  • @ranlaen Is that what you guys tell yourselves over there to make the ISS feal like yours? There is no "main modual" for the ISS. I know who owns what, who built what, and who assempbled what up there. The US has more moduals than Russia, and it opporates and delivered more moduals than everyone else combined. Your own govenment admitted the Shuttle built the ISS.

Space station technolodgy is easy. Just because Russia threw a dozen of those tin cans up there doesn't mean they are better at it.

  • @monokhem Am British and have no egomania attached to the ISS,The Euro space program has little contribution to the station compared to the Russians and Americans. So I am realistic here and not governed by ego like you.The shuttle is just a transport medium my friend. It is not the station which is based wholly on well developed Russian technology. The US had the shuttle technology but very weak space station know how.

  • @monokhem I would like to add, If the USA have any know how about the space station technology, why did they ask the Russians to build the base module? Yes there is a main module the Zarya which keeps it up there.rest are attachments.Owned by USA build by Russia.

  • @ranlaen Because Russian docking tech was inferior. That's why your stuff went up first. No one wanted your rocket banging against the side of our space station.

The Zarya isn't the main mudual. It's a modual.

"build by Russia"? not likely, unless it was that Russian space shuttle that built it. I'm pretty sure it was the American one.

Seriously good luck with OPSEK over there.

  • @monokhem You right the Zvesda module has taken over as the main life support and orbit control from zarya.

Get over it, Shuttles did not build nothing, it carried already build components into orbit like a good lorry it is.Live with it the USA could not keep the Skylab or anything in orbit unlike the Russians that dumped a functioning one after years of use.OPSEK like all Russian space stations also will work great.BTW the Boyan could fly totally unmanned sad the Russians dumped it.

  • hey this is my station

  • cool

  • Work together to achieve greatness !!!

  • Did you know that there is a stowaway bear attacking people in the space station.

  • Amazing piece of work I tell yeah! I didn't know they rebuilt the station as they where making it. Yeah the russians did a nice job help helping to build this thing :)

  • The video compilation "UFO Disclosure, Revelations & the 2012 Connection" ON

YOUTUBE is a disclosure of major lies and with held

information regarding life outside of Earth. The footage contains statements

from astronauts, American presidents, , military personnel, politicians plus

credible news footage. The compilation contains revelations regarding

awareness of life beyond Earth along with it's current and ongoing presence

which is being hidden from the public + more.

  • Nice video. But, slight change at the end, due to habitat module canceled and added modified Multipurpose Logistics Module in its place.

If you take the time to check out the interior setup, take the online video tours, and watch some of the daily Station reports, it might suddenly become interesting. It "is" the stuff of science fiction.

  • The ISS might have to come down soon because the playboy CEO's needed $700 billion to pay off their yachts.

  • I thought it was tiny but I was wrong, this thing's huge! Amazing!

  • Its just so amazing, one of the best things what USA can do :P

  • russians did do alot in building the ISS

  • @igor7702 like Zarya

  • Comment removed

  • ASK YOURSELF. HOW COME WE DONT HEAR ABOUT THIS SPACE STATION TOO MUCH ON THE NEWS, IS THERE SOMETHING GOING ON UP THERE THAT WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT?

  • @usaamerica1 I think its because there isn't much going on up there. Most of the time they run basic physics tests and take photos for scientists on the ground of things like lakes for surveys.

  • @usaamerica1 . How often do you even hear about the space shuttle in the news!?! We don't hear much about it, because the space operations in general are boring to the society in general, therefore the media doesn't cover it.

  • OK...and exactly how far do you expect they would be right now, if the Americans were not involved? Reality check people!

Check out the USA Today version

  • All while traveling 17,500mph/28,000kph around the Earth.

  • Nobody steals our chicks... and lives.

  • We should be living in space by now. Im pissed!!!!

  • We live in an area of dark sky. It's inspiring to stand and wait for the orbit to bring the station into view and view the progress through the starry night. And then the

    Coyotes start to sing.

  • Got it at Toys R Us?

  • HAHAHA this is not a NASA piece of equipment!!! This is international! Pieces for this were built around the world by space agencies from a multitude of different nations! NOT NASA YOU DUMB REDNECKS LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The arrogance of the Americans never ceases to amaze me!!!

  • not NASA .....ESA

  • Fits together like Legos.

  • I saw it this morning travelling from the South West low above the horizon in the direction of East South East at 0616hrs. It was very bright and much larger and clearer than I'd seen previously and was visible for a good minute in near ideal conditions, in a lovely clear sky. Fanastic good luck as I had no idea it was visible in are area (Exeter). I just happened to looking at Orion and there it was streaking across the feet of Orion from left to right. Worth checking visible Flight times

  • beautiful

  • good

  • good

  • Does anyone else feel like that was the biggest waste of money ever? We should have focused on space mining robots.

  • @jag9998 uhm no way

  • Comment removed

  • @akierrs2 I'm just saying, at the time of the ISS's commissioning we were just looking for the next cool thing to do in space. For the time, effort, and money we put into the station we could have established a moon base about a quarter its size, but in an area with endless research possibilties and resources.

  • @jag9998 ye thats true, but with the iSS you can learn much about put humans a long time in space, because to Mars you are a long time in space

  • @jag9998 NO it is training for the 3 year mission to Mars, amongst many other activitys.shame the Americans are recession the more money spent on this the better i cant think of a more exiting project.

  • GREAT ! I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME MUCH LARGER MODULES CONNECTED TO ISS THAT WOULD BE SO COOL,ISS IS THE COOLIST THING EVER !!

  • Dear Nerds and stuff. I challenge you to do some bottle drives and bakes sales etc and build a fully functional X-Wing class fighter complete with torpedoes. Then you have to find a way to get it into space and blow up the international space station.

  • ISS definitely raises the bar on what you can assemble in Earth orbit. Safe, reliable and less expensive means to get to orbit is one of many problems that will have to solve if these programs are going to be sustainable. But, if these laboratories can do the work that is expected.... The budget for this entire project is equivalent to 40 new drugs on the market in 1 year. And if this station can evolve for new uses over the next 15 years... this might have been the best money Earth has spent?

  • where is the international space hotel and casino?... come on nasa, its been 30 years since the moon and you fake scientists arnt breaking any new ground... time to hand space flight over to private corporations and let them compete with government... right now nasa is sort of communist and im pushing for a socialist space flight system so we get more innovation... luckily obama agrees with me so it doesnt matter what the stupid people think :)

  • @wildboy789789 They recieve less the 1% of the federal budget and you expect them to have a space casino?

  • @zzzIdividedbyzerozzz less than 1%?... thats gross, im moving to a better country... these people are beasts who dont value knowledge... capitalism spurs innovation for about 100 years, then every one starts getting lazt and stupid while playing with daddies money... and we end up with george bush as leader of the free world... this country is dieing, im moving to norway

  • ha-ha! - NASA International spacestation!-LOL! - it is ISP, but not NASA's one - 65% of components are build by Russians - so Russians have more rights to say that it is "RussiaSpaceAgency International Spacestation", but they don't say it as they are not such arrogant sons of a bitch as americans...

  • ive seen it with my bare eyes. That was very cool!

  • I do respect American & Russian not to forget other countries

  • this is all USA, Germany. England, Japan, Italy, etc. Imagine if more countries were as economically and technologically advanced as us?

  • @DrMu5tCh3at2W1n

USA, Russia, Brazil, European Union, Japan, Canada.... who am i missin?

  • @pacificguitarist china and India I think

  • @lynchog

China is excluded from the ISS. India has no participation.

  • @pacificguitarist

    Cool, why is china excluded?

Does the Austrailian gov. not pump some money into this aswell?

  • @lynchog

China is excluded because of strong American resistance to the idea.... though the new administration is appearing the be changing the status quo on this. Obama's appointee Charlie Bolden has talked about more cooperation in Space between the U.S. and China. Also.... Russia recently has been talking to China about getting involved as well.

As far as i know... Australia is not involved..... but I haven't double checked.

  • or that it is build without a purpose. Tell you what. When the iss launched one of the hardest parts was recycling water and air. Right now they can theoratically survive with 10 people in the station for over 50 years without panel or life sustaining adjustments to the life support system. That is one major advantage since 40years ago. it solved a problem for humans to get to mars. In that case propellant is a second problem of getting their. So science solves alot of things. so stop ignoring.

  • and why are so many people ignorant. Yes of 6billion people only a 200 feet station is our biggest achievement in space. but what is the iss for, not to circle the earth and prove it happens. Their are dozens of scientist working on projects, biologically, scientifically engineers, and other high studs that try to solve mysteries beyond what we know. one day, they collect enough information to create something that enables millions of participants in space. and we shout, it doesnt exist

  • im european and esa is currently the same busy client as nasa is to the iss.

But the iss is nasas concept. Nasa made the spaceshuttle and the schooling for astronauts to build this craft. ESA had only added a few cabines in regarding to the other dozens that nasa installed. And yes we might be proud of launching the columbus module. Its still nasas spaceshuttle and the 120+ missions that really pictured the station as it is today. Yes americans are ignorant imo. But the iss is their credit.

  • @Armigo91

    Be proud of columbus!

Not to mention you got the HTV now! Thats HELLA cool.

Not too long before manned space flight from Europe. Be proud man!

  • Wow that is a bad ass space station

  • Russian astronaut Mikael Novas has been living on the ISS for 8 years and collects erotica.

  • looks like a $100 Billion waste of money. What has it achieved?(oh! , experiments)

Did the russians not already make one of these?

  • Wow, I never knew it was that massive and intricate. I always imagined it was just a sort of glorified satellite. Amazing what humans can accomplish when they put international squabbles aside and dedicate themselves to science.

  • Its like -200 Degrees Celsius outside the shuttle?

  • Sad to see the space shuttle program coming to an end. While not real efficent, it is/was the most complex machine in space, quit a spectical.

  • The serious componets of the intl space station could only be delivered by the shuttle

  • ofcource it is not NASA international space station - NASA is one of 5 space agencies which are owners of this International Space Station - others are Russia, EU, Japan and Canada...each have different share in it- you may google for legal aspects of ownership of this station, but I know that Russia for example has the right for nearly 50% of the crew time for the ISS, Russian segment is owned and controlled by Russian space agency, don't know what are conditions for EU and Japan...

  • @Ura293 japan make an electronic, EU since.

  • And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star.

  • NASA international space station??

If it weren't for the russians Soyuz and Progress spaceships the ISS would be long dead... Space Shuttle is a joke.

  • was this made in CAD lol?

  • @Monkayskillz - Absolutely. Mechanical Engineering is the best job EVAH! ;)

  • @dhansel001 you are right there is no need 4 pple to spend billions and still we ant got a clue to what they are doin up there and its really sad to see homeless veterans in the streets.

  • @wadza122

u have no clue its because ur stupid! do u think Internet ur using right now is possible without space exploration? mobile phones, live TV, GPS, even ur freakin micro wave is a product of space exploration! you dumb fuck!

if u really want to save money then ask ur government to stop spending on ur stupid war!

  • @vladimirstanislav shut the fuck up you little cant. pple in the usa are homeless and veterans are dyin in the cold and you moron has the audacity to justify spendin trillions on a program that is so mysterious that most pple in the world ant got a clue to what they are up to. so pliz save me you clap trap and shut the fuck up moron.you cant tel me jack shit fuckin pussy.

  • @wadza122

that's why u stupid fucktard if USA want some savings then stop spending in ur stupid war numbskull! did u know how many trillions of dollars the US is spending in its Military? for what? to destroy talibans using AK47's? LMAO! do u know how much one F22 cost? do u know how much one aircraft carrier cost? did u know how much Iraq war cost? yeah u don't know a fuck coz ur stupid!

  • @vladimirstanislav you have no clue what you're talking about so just be quiet now, you're pissing people off, we're about to spam your comments off the board

  • @vladimirstanislav no you "fucktard" all of those things you mentioned do u think Internet ur using right now is possible without space exploration? mobile phones, live TV, GPS, even ur freakin micro wave is a product of space exploration!.

First point, the Military which you also said was a waste of money, contributed, if not was the sole contributor to the Internet. The military was the first to have a Network, do some research or STFU, and GTFO

  • @tj1990

Military network is intranet u stupid dumb fuck! its local network! without the satellites yeah those in space u dummy! there would be no WAN! yeah that's it u dumbfuck! WAN as in wide are networking! and by the way world wide web was invented in CERN cunt face! ur so called military had nothing to do with it! and it all began when The USSR's launch of Sputnik!

U have no clue on what ur posting u dicksucking cum drunk faggot! so STFU!

  • jesus christ alright this guy mislabeled the ISS

    typical stereotypical european

  • @goldstep999 so we play the biggest part, sorry, forgot to mention russia's 2 astronauts and japans 3, BIG WHOOP still doesn't sound very "INTERNATIONAL"

  • @tj1990

not so international huh? guess what by next year everyone will be using soyuz to go to ISS u fucktard! yeah including stupid Americans! No Russian in history ever use American technology just to go to space but Americans are using Soyuz with pay of course :-)

  • @goldstep999 Oh please, We Americans own the moon earth and everything in between. Don't be mad your country sucks.

  • @from212

    you own nothing

    American Ignorance

  • @Gurumeierhans

    the ISS doesn't exist.

  • @nasaAstroNots

4 sure and Humanity is just an illusion

  • @Gurumeierhans

    stop beling a fool!

  • @nasaAstroNots

"ISS doesn´t exist"---> Who is the fool ?

  • @nasaAstroNots

    uh...... what?

  • @goldstep999 NASA being one of the largest or largest contributor of hardware and funds, plus this being a video from NASA. This video is correctly titled "NASA International Space Station" instead of the incorrect "NASA's International Space Station." "Typical American arrogance." This quote shows biased arrogant thoughts of Americans on your part.

P.S. You should take some reading classes.

  • @goldstep999 WHAT ABOUT THE RUSSIAN AND CHINESE SECTOR

  • @BRITAINSSAVIOR

The Russian segment was clearly there. The Chinese do not have a segment on ISS.

  • @Boy75402 oh yes of course but they are represented thank you for pointing out my error .

  • @goldstep999 but even so we payed for most of it. As usually we pay for pretty much EVERYTHING.

  • @EpiDemic117 yes after first borrowing it from around the world. then you pay for it. reality check the U.S.A is the worlds largest debt . the dollar will not be the worlds reserve currance much longer. do some research

  • There is currently plans to launch to establish a American Lunar colony near the Southern pole in the year 2020. This is apart of the reason behind Nasa "bombing" the moon recently. With the discovery of possible water and ice on the moon, and some new designs and technollogies, NASA is feeling very good about the mission at the moment.

  • A really impressive engineering feat!

  • man a colony in space would be horrible alot of people will die if one boycot started or a gun was illegaly brought on. just think about people will rebel for no reason. a kid would brake a window. people can go insane up in thos tiny things. all im saying is build a HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE thing before u put people up there and no windows lol.

  • Maybe but the human race would grow and expand which is the ultimate goal

  • WOw awsome! !

  • It would be a crime and total waste of billions of dollars if the ISS was scrapped.

Use it as an orbiting Moon base.

  • you couldn't move it there. it can be kept in earth orbit indefinitely though, it just costs a lot.

  • The ISS can't be moved from LEO. Any engine that would be powerful enough to get it through the Van Allen belts fast enough so the radiation doesn't fry all the electronics would tear the station apart.

  • Great learn & beautiful works.........

  • Good work humans. Thats pretty impressive.

  • ISS is just awesome.

  • if they no how to make a space station why cant they make a moon base

  • @newwell1

A moon base is a lot harder to construct than a space station in low earth orbit. A moon base would require massive rockets to haul all the modules from earths surface to the moons surface instead of just to LEO. (think of how big the saturn V was). Additionally, challenges such as radiation from solar flares, developing power sources that work during the weeks of night on the moon (solar won't work) and lunar dust all make it even more difficult.

  • They ARE planing to launch to the moon to settle(probably near the southern pole) in the year 2020(assuming all goes well and there arent too many budget cuts...) But station is easier than a base because all you have to do is launch to station and keep it working(also easier to get supplies to), a base needs to be able to substain its self, costs more, and takes more time to establish.

  • Grrrrreat, now bring me to Alpha Centauri.

  • Wow my Hamster would love this. =)

  • Could the International Space Station be boosted out of low Earth Orbit, to be used as a long-term habitat for the journey to Mars? The primary assembly has already been done, although the structure and power systems would need to be reinforced.

  • It would take months, and also you would have to find a way to attach a huge rocket to power the first burn to get it under way, stresses it probably couldn't cope with

  • The ISS was designed and dreamed to orbit earth and unite the countries of earth for the Space age. It was nether designed, nor built to withstand movement to another planet or moon or celestial body. The smarter and probably easier idea would be to build a space station AT a targeted planet. The ISS is also in no way in its final stage, it will continue to be built apon for many more centuries to come(possibly longer).

  • u know lots about the iss,

  • @Moonseker

Actually the ISS is in its final stage. The plan is to deorbit in 2016, as decided when they started building it; however there could be a chance that it will be extended to 2020. Your claim that 'it will continue to be built apon for many more centuries to come(possible longer)' is laughably incorrect.

  • Well, some ones in a know-it-all kinda mood. I suppose i shouldjust stop watching NatGeo and the History channle and stop reding scientific maginizenes? According to those sorurces, the creator and designer of the space station originally wanted a white, ringed shaped station that could substain its self and be a symbol of peace and unity. But since, weve realized thats just a bit ahead of our time. And i was not aware of such plans, which could explain my "laughably incorrect claims" but w/e=\

  • it would be nice if they started a new one though =/ bigger and better and expand etc etc

bc if the iss falls away, humans have practically no 'race for space' anymore at all..

no moon landings since 50 years ago, and now no more iss, that be sad =(

  • @SatoTM2 umm, search kepler project, no race for space lol

  • We need a tennis court then we talk again.

  • wow i cant beleave they made it by single peaice 1 at a time

  • this is going to be the modern day noahs arc

  • ISS is growing big! :O

  • i hope it doesn't blow up

  • I hope that they manage to finish the ISS before it gets messed up by someting in space or reenters the atmosphere.

  • those trusses,...not the solar arrays but those funny looking grey zig zag thingies... 1:29 1:30 u can clearely see them move..what are they?

  • Radiators to remove excess heat.

  • ok thankyou^^

  • ¡Justo lo que quería ver! / Just the one I want to see!

  • are there also gays in the space station?

  • what a good question :D , maybe

  • If we colonize the moon, geuss is itll end up as its own nation. With the advancement to the moon, might come witht he advancement of the Space station, who knows, maybe by 2050-2100 we'll be taking a shuttle from the moon to the station to eat lunch at a restaraunt.=\ Oh though NASA's budget has been qustioned a bti too much and America's education might become so bad we can barely figure out what 'space' is, let alone how to add on to a 'space station'.

  • it may do eventually but it will be a colony for several centuries first - look at what happened with colonisation of other nations on earth

  • Sadly, the ISS isn't in its finale stage, let alone near it=\ Still alot more things and adjustments to be made. The original design was somethign out of the movies. two wheel like rings to make up the main body. But with the plans to colonize space around 2020, im sure this will be a interesting time to live, as we watch them finish colonies and space stations.

  • Are they going to keep adding?

Their goal should be to make an international space 'nation.'

  • the mission stops 2015 or something i read on wikipedia

then is the end of the ISS...

i would like a space nation tho xD

  • it won't be end, Russia claimed they will disconnect their own part (most of IIS) and will make their own station based on this part

  • ROFL, space nation........

  • shows what humanity can reach if everyone works together

  • exactly

  • That's no moon.

  • how many people can be inside the space station?

  • 6 people at the same time.

  • Up to six or seven, though there are usually less.

Two is the minimum to keep the station running, the rest for research purposes.

  • 13 actually, 6 expedition members, 7 space Shuttle Astronauts.

  • It's not NASA, it's mainly Russian.

  • It is 17 countrys. Not mostly Russian. Not mostly American. Some countrys even share modules.

  • dont lie

  • Well its not's nase ethere is it ?Then why is the clip named so ?The main life support moduels are russian whith out them the station can function. But it can fuction whith out the lab sections, storage and so on ... Its international not "NASA's".
